turtleman2020 Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 great, it looks like Stump Smash von Skylanders game I didn't even think of that, but they are almost identical.
Rogue Angel Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Here's my avatar and his group. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/turtleman2020/lego/img_1470.jpg From left to right: Beardy the dwarf he uses a dwarven rifle, Acid the orc he uses his crossbow, Severus the snake man (my avatar)he uses a bow, and stargazer the drow he uses throwing knives. Their the ranged guild. They live on the outskirts of the swamp and do assassinations or anything for the right price, However they are loyal to Noctunus. Also here's a little tablescrap earth elemntal. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/turtleman2020/lego/img_1471.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/turtleman2020/lego/img_1472.jpg and here's a back view as you can see he has a tree growing out of his back. Sorry that the pics aren't deeplinked everytime i try it says that the image extension is not allowed on this board. Try using this format: [ img ] hxxp.xxx.jpg [ /img ] (but without all the spaces) but make sure you do this with low-rez versions of the pics.
Jareth Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Greetings Fellow Nocturnans, Unfortunately The town of Scarbourough has been cut off from the rest of the mainland by a volcanic ash blizzard, and as such we are unable to partake in the commerce challenge. This is also why we have been unable to offer much help in the face of the Avalonian-drow conflict or the rocher challenge...or much communication of any sort. Rumors of our mayor being exhausted by his two jobs and now taking a vacacion on the beach are completely unfounded. After I get back from the Bea....uh....ash shoveling, I will attempt to make an Elemental challenge. As well as some other MOCs that I have been unable to complete.
Angeli Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Remember that last Drow town of mine? Not to bring thread from dead, I'll post a picture here, so you can see how it looked when I was packing it for exsibition :) btw, I was thinking that my elemental could be made of love ;)
Hersbrucker Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Nice to see your transportation Angeli Is something crashed? I will do a break with my Werewolves now, they are looking for some retribution Master Racoon and his Bat-Army will enter to challenge IV
Angeli Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 (edited) challenge 4 is going to be sparkly ;) (link to my flickr picture with notes) Edited June 22, 2012 by Angeli
Angeli Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 ...well, all of these bricks (exspt trans red tiles and trans red diamonds) were in my latest mocs ( I have a habbit of using all the bricks I have, and build untill I run out of them :)); it is just that because of the scale you could not spot them :(
Angeli Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 my dear guildsmen, for challenge 4 I will add a lot of stone-work. so, I will need a lot of slopes and inverted slopes. I have black, but I would like to color that rocks with one or more other colors. What do you suggest? Please shoot for the less costly colors :) like braon? what do you think?
Legonardo Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 my dear guildsmen, for challenge 4 I will add a lot of stone-work. so, I will need a lot of slopes and inverted slopes. Black, dark bley, brown, dark brown to my understanding dark brown is fairly expensive but I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to BL prices, I don't use it!
Hersbrucker Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 OK, I will expand my Village My wife like a graveyard So we will buy this new Monster Fighters set 9465 to get some Zombies
turtleman2020 Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 For challenge 4 can there be more than elemental?
I Scream Clone Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 I look forward to all the glitter Angeli. Nice pic of the transporting scenario you were faced with. Hersbrucker, I look forward to your graveyard too, those zombies are sure to be in demand! I have picked up loads of brick from my trip to Chicago, so plans for the Abyssian castle are underway, hopefully some progress pics soon. Keep up the good work guilds men. For challenge 4 can there be more than elemental? Yes, you can build people fleeing, ruined towns etc.
lisqr Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Looks like I'll have to sit out on this one. Good luck everyone.
Hyler Talliwell Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 THis Challenge Four thing is taking me awhile. Elementals stink.
I Scream Clone Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 THis Challenge Four thing is taking me awhile. Elementals stink. That's the idea mate, we want to challenge all you guys to build something tough and claim it as your own. I look forward to what Nocturnus can produce.
soccerkid6 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 (edited) @Nocturnus: The commerce challenge has a little under a month left, I would love to see some more entries Challenge thread: link Edited July 5, 2012 by soccerkid6
Angeli Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Sounds great, but I have to take a few more week(s) of vacation from lego, after seven days of non stop sorting :) I think that people did not get the impression of how large the last city was, and it was built in less then a month :) and now I touch lego only when I need to lift my laptop from the desk, for cooling ;) Drow will have to pass on all challenges for a week or two. When you come to conquer a Drow city, you will find this note on a door "out on vacation. Please drop your weapons, go directly to the mines and wait for us there. Ps: we rule supreme"
ZCerberus Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Sounds great, but I have to take a few more week(s) of vacation from lego, after seven days of non stop sorting :) I think that people did not get the impression of how large the last city was, and it was built in less then a month :) and now I touch lego only when I need to lift my laptop from the desk, for cooling ;) I think when I saw the first pictures I did not get a good handle on the scale until I saw a later picture of the whole layout on the table. It really was enourmous. Bigger isn't always better, but in your case, you did have a lot of good details on that city.
Dr Rod Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Drow will have to pass on all challenges for a week or two. When you come to conquer a Drow city, you will find this note on a door "out on vacation. Please drop your weapons, go directly to the mines and wait for us there. Ps: we rule supreme" You crack me up Angeli!! :) I am finally building (well once I get off the computer), I have 6 days to build 23 baseplates... DrRod
Niku Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Drow will have to pass on all challenges for a week or two. When you come to conquer a Drow city, you will find this note on a door "out on vacation. Please drop your weapons, go directly to the mines and wait for us there. Ps: we rule supreme" It seems the Drow are not that rude tough guys they try so hard to show, a real supreme ruler does not ask things with a Please phrase it just orders it.
