Jakon Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Well hello Everybody. i was recommended to join this guild in particular by Jakon. I could take the empty Economic Position should you wish. I can have photos up hopefully tomorrow. :) so you did decide to join, great!
Gondabuggan Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 :) so you did decide to join, great! Yeah! It looks like fun. is there anything else i need to do? I'm still getting used to this stuff. :P
Sirens-of-Titan Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Greetings Guildsmen! Happy New Year to all! @ Fat Tony: That is one f the best brick-built dragons I've ever seen! Well done, I would love to see the finished beast! @ Gondabuggan: Welcome to the Guild! I recommend starting by building yourself a character, writing a short story and posting a few pictures so we can all meet our new Mitgardian brother. Occupations range from settlers and farmers, to warriors and hunters, to wizards and traders. (Although our guild is a bit short on wizards) Get creative and have fun most of all! Long live Mighty Mitgardia!
robuko Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Not sure how updated it is but this is a good start A traveler's guide to Mitgardia Thankyou very much Lord Arlindus, this is just what I was looking for. So many great builds in Mitgardia, you are a very talented guild.
Maxim I Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Thankyou very much Lord Arlindus, this is just what I was looking for. So many great builds in Mitgardia, you are a very talented guild. As Kaliphlin Guildsman you have to know that my ninja scouts have explored most of Historica allready and they have made a City Guide with almost all MOC's of Historica (not the army and siegeweapons) ;) Only Avalonia and Nocturnus aren't fully accurate yet, but in the next days I'll do them as well
Gondabuggan Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Count Ustengravth: Leader of a Fierce Band of Bandits and Devious Soldiers of the North, swearing allegiance to the lands of Mitgardia. High in the reaches of Mitgardia's mountains Count Ustengravth is a master wizard, experienced in Destruction and Illusion, he controls a band of Thieves and Powerful Soldiers, distinctive by the white headdresses they wear. They say he runs a mining operation as well, and he is renowned as a wealthy merchant as well. His blade is said to be purest moonstone, laced with poison and enchanted to steal the souls of fallen enemies. his staff controls the powers of destruction. (He is the Center Red clothed man.)

Sorry guys the image was to bg to upload and it would not let me use the insert image thing, sooo i'll get it figured ut but this will do for now... I don't know how to do it too, but you always can use word and paint for it :) Copy-paste the image into Word. Normally the seize is reduiced now while the quality is still the same. Now copypaste that picture into paint. Most times there is now a big white L around the picture, to make that disappear, go to the lowest right corner, select it and now you can make the white L disappear. Now save it as JPEG and upload it on the web :). It sounds far more difficult then it is :D I don't gonna welcome you because I am of another Guild, but I just want to point you on the fact that your characters details and appearance make him more suitable for almighty Kaliphlin then for Mitgardia. (the armour, merchant, mining, thieves, ...). But ofcourse it's your choice! And to everybody else here: I am sorry that I visit your Guild's topic so frequently and post here, but I only help your people here or to show respect for their skills
Bricksandparts Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Hello! I know I have not participated much in The guild. I would like to share a template for making flags! Currently, It's in Power Point, so not everyone can use it, But I plan to make a forum where anyone can. But for now it's in beta. I just made it today. Here are some example shots of flags that anybody can make on the template: Power Point file: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/bricksandparts/MOC/medieval/Historia/Custom/flags.ppt Edited January 2, 2012 by Bricksandparts

Bricksandparts Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) Can I set up a town in a forum? And slowly add onto it? If I can, I'd like to settle a town named (I need a good name for the settlement) next to 'Hot Springs Tower'. Others could add onto it with my permission, and It'd be like a mini RCB. I'll be building in LDD and adding villagers working on the building every now and then. Edited January 3, 2012 by Bricksandparts
Gondabuggan Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Here's my first MOC for here! its entitled 'River Banditry' and follows the following account, as recorded a few months ago by an Avalonian Scout when the Count first Came to be known in the region. "The count's men have set up a camp at a major river, threatening trading routes and a large dwarven ruin, rumored to be full of rare metals. I have a feeling they are after the mine." -Avalonian Scipts, describing the counts first claim to land in the south-western region of Mitgardia.
Bricksandparts Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Question: Does Mitgardia have a capital? If not, Could I sketch an Idea for the map of one? I see that there is on the map, but It shows that nothing is currently there.
Alex the Great Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Question: Does Mitgardia have a capital? If not, Could I sketch an Idea for the map of one? I see that there is on the map, but It shows that nothing is currently there. The capital is Valholl. But I don't know if you should sketch out the layout yet , it might be a future build. See what the guild leader says.
Bricksandparts Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Is this like a discussion thread and in character thread?
Darkdragon Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Is this like a discussion thread and in character thread? Yeah, it's a catch-all.
Cwertle Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I have a MOC mostly finished, but I do not have any yellow or green flags. Could someone give me some ideas/examples of brick built flags please?
Ecclesiastes Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 I have a MOC mostly finished, but I do not have any yellow or green flags. Could someone give me some ideas/examples of brick built flags please? Here are some examples already used in our guild! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=63112 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=63346
Sirens-of-Titan Posted January 5, 2012 Author Posted January 5, 2012 To address a few questions: 1) The Mitgardian capital is Valholl and nobody has yet built anything for it. As this is the residence of my character, I will eventually build quite a few scenes set in Valholl, but if anyone else wants to take a shot at it, please be my guest. No maps, no plots of land and no assigning people particular places; let's agree it's a huge city and apart from the royal palace and a few major religious/economic buildings, housing is open to all to build! 2) Custom flags? Yes it's allowed although the yellow green flags are pennies on bricklink, but if you don't use sites like bricklink it's understandable to build some yourself. The only criteria is be mindful of scale and use good taste. 3) Starting your own city/town etc.: I don't have to give permission for guildsmen to start a new colony/city etc. If you want to build up your own corner of the Northern frontier you may do so. Just let Viceroy know if you're adding something new, so that he can incorporate your town in the map, or give suggestions for good locations! 4) Embassy challenge: Lots of Avalonian embassies already have started to appear. it's still early to have finished embassies, but it may be a good idea to start planning. I am not worried; I know our guild's quality is always up to par, and so I'm simply waiting to be pleasantly surprised again! That's all for now, as always long live Mitgardia!
