Great job on the winery idea!

I love seeing everything you are all working upon. I'm still on holiday at the moment and missing my Lego! Hard to add replies on this pad. I will be back a week next Saturday and will do then. In the mean time I have nothing to do but dream up elementals =D

Well enough time, to come up with ideas than :wink:

@ Kabel: Can you point me in the direction of where you described the idea for this community build?

@ Jacob Nion: Once challenge 6 ends we will start a brand new community build on a different forum. Historica will still be alive and well, and I will be here to organize builds and challenges, and we may even have rewards for long-time builders ranging from tags, to gift cards to Lego. I would not worry about it; there is a t least half a year's worth of official challenges and big contests. :wink:

@soccerkid:

Great barracks! Your building and photography just keep getting better and better. :thumbup: :thumbup:

Do you know what forum?

I haven't thought about the elemental crisis yet, but here's a WIP pic of the winery i'm building for commerce challenge:

Looks great, I really like the barrel, how is it supported on the inside?

Cool picture :thumbup: Are you going to post your throne room MOCs as free builds?

I'm about 1/3 way through my last free build before I start on challenge 4 :classic:

I hadn't planned on it. The main problem is that I didn't take pictures of them...this always happens to me on Brickworld projects. They are so small, I just didn't think it deserved a thread either. Know what I mean? I'll see if I have any photos I can crop that show all of them though.

I think I may have taken some pics of them. Not sure if I got any close-ups though...

Though they are derivative works of the stuff the leaders had already posted, I still think they are cool enough to get their own thread if we can find some photos.

Looking good! Too bad I live so far away, would have love to see those in person. Do you happen to have more pictures of that dragon behind the thrones, Z? And who made it? What am awesome dragon :thumbup:

Hyler Talliwell made it for a contest on flickr, but he figure it worked for Nocturnus as well.

Check it out here.

Wow darkdragon, you really got the throne rooms perfect! *oh2* I can't imagine how long you must have spent trying to figure out the Guild leader's convoluted building styles; I especially like what you did with the Avalonian throne room. :wub:

Thanks for the link Z, one amazing dragon it is.

I started building on my first draft for the elemental:

At first I wanted to do a fire elemental, because I had some really cool fire action/damage in mind, but then I realized I don't really have right parts in red/orange/yellow etc. And since I allready did a air/ice dragon in Challenge 3, I decided to try an earth elemental.

Points I still need to improve are the arms and hands, his feet and I want to try to make the face smoother. I had Legohaulic's perfect werewolf in mind when I built this, so some of the things in it are very inspired by him.

I gave him a necklace with a green gem to represent the earth crystal (maybe a weak spot, with which the heroes can kill him with?)

I also imagined that maybe I could take away the legs and let it come out of the ground directly in the action scene so his lower half of his body is made of pure rock? Just thinking out loud...

What do you guys think of it? This was mainly build to understand some connections and get used to make brickbuilt elementals/creatures, so it is more of a concept. Any C&C is very much welcome! :thumbup:

Wow,Blaze. I mean really WOW! I don't think I could have ever built anything like that for challenge 4. I will also congratulate you for actually having a complete elemental built already :blush:. I only have the head/body done on mine. I haven't even started on the rest of the diorama either. In fact I'm not even sure if I will even enter the challenge, but I will try.

@Hyler Talliwell

Once again, another one of your Brickworld MOCs amaze me!

@Blaze: If I can get my elemental to come out that well I will be quite pleased :thumbup:

I think I will be posting my last free build before Challenge 4 tomorrow :classic:

Thanks, man! I just store up all of my building skills through the whole year for that one weekend.

Thanks :blush: Avalonia was THE most difficult to convert from ... I don't know ... around a million x million studs to 14x16 but I think it's still very recognizable. :classic:

I think they all worked out really great! :thumbup: Also all the sigfigs together was a nice idea, I think I'm going to do that too for our club-day next week! :classic:

@ Blaze, looking forward seeing your moc because this looks promising!
