use program named paint, every windows should have one :)

open a picture in it, and type ctrl+w and type something like 40 and 40 into STRECH both vertical and horisontal - type any number you like (it is a %), but it should be the same numbers

just save it (ctrl+s) and that is that :)

Wow!! I never guessed I would learn something new about Paint  I always resized pictures in Word and then copied them into paint (as they lost no quality then), but your trick is faster

Thanks

Friends, Brothers, Fellow Mitgardians

Our beloved country is under attack by evil forces and we desperately need to protect the capital from the chaos that ensued. I therefore declare:

The Valholl Wall Community Build

Another even quicker way is to right click on the image folder, select "Resize image" and choose the size you want, it will create a copy of the file in the wanted size. similarly if you use flickr you simply upload the image in any size and you can select a size from there. (thats what I do)

I present Lan Moon, Elite Acirhon Guard of Mitgardia:

Siren: Is it possible that I could get my Username changed to Lan Moon?

Thanks Angeli I did the best I could do haha!

Ecc: I hope you don't mind that I used your new Acirhon Guards for my Sig Fig I just thought they were so cool!

I have a tiny Vignette I finished yesterday that I can't wait to show everyone! I just need to get it uploaded.

For Mitgardia!

@Lan Moon: it'd be better if you deeplinked your pictures instead of attaching them. How to do this? Well you go to brickshelf, flickr or whereever, upload your pics there, copy the adress and then put it in to the insert image box. That way you can post way more pictures!!

I can see I have a lot to catch up on! Just arrived back from a week in southern california, took the kids to Disneyland and they liked it but wanted to go back to Legoland  (which we didn't do this time around). We also didn't get to any lego shop :( Urg the traffic there! It took us three hours just to get out of the city. Now I have a board to catch up on, a weeks worth of family laundry, a lego desk to tidy, and all the chores I put off while finishing up Challenge IV and which I realise I haven't even posted in this thread yet either. I'll get to that later :look:

Sounds like my house (except we went east and to Canada). Yesterday I counted and I had 105 unread topics in this forum alone. Not to mention an unreal amount of LEGO sorting to do, thanks to kids school party here over the weekend. (Can't believe I have to share my toys with them  ) Too bad you didn't hit the LEGO store at Downtown Disney, although their PAB wall is quite small if I recall. BTW, I just posted to the EB PAB Cup thread what PAB pieces I remembered from a weekend visit to the Santa Clara store. I think you live somewhere close by.

... took the kids to Disneyland ...

none of my friends with kids can make anything out of lego because nothing seems to last around the kids :) no table is to high, no room too secure, no threat scary enough, no bribe sweet enough :) everything built gets played with and disassembled within the hour :)

@Evan D: Looking good! I think some more detail in the wall would be nice, some decoration around the arrow slits/windows for sure. I like the arch at the top

@soccerkid6: Thanks for the feedback! I think that I'm gonna add some more tiles on headlight bricks, and maybe add some cracks into the walls, then I have to add two more 32 by 32 baseplates on the other side, and build the rest of the castle.

water is great, and that tree in the background looks pretty interesting ;)

@Angeli: Thanks, after getting a bag of those white triangles with clips at Brickfair, I had to put them to use. That tree is gonna end up in the center of the courtyard, I'm glad somebody noticed it!

@Evan D: looking really good. Hope you finish this soon, I'm rather excited.

@all: the community build now has a small price to it. So make sure you support the protection of our capital!!

Well if you ever fancy to make a real life size peace of cake, that would make a great white chocolate chips on it :))

And enough of this nice talks, we have a rebellion to make and wars to wage, people to enslave and villages to pillage! :) (try saying this fast three times in a row:))

Since the Drow has a new leader, they start showing more and more interests in trees and water... (an old man far far away nods his head, murming "bad bad bad" )

I got a bag of brown versions of that same piece too, and I might just have to make a giant chocolate chip cookie!

Or we can do the same for Petraea...

But then again, nobody of us has enough golden bricks to make the walls

well I guess you could make a piece with a trade delegation staying in an Inn at the Wall or something like that, or a Kaliphlin trade mission. However, this was actually intended to be our version of the Albion community build, with a little more structure though.

@all: if you guys come up with a cool title that is to be won, please pm me!

BTW: I'm currently working on my entries 3 and 4, 3 being almost done ...

Hello folks!

Ecclesiastes, wonderful castle! I agree with the sentiment that it's one of your best creations to date.

While we work out the challenge 4 voting and individual scores, I will post a mini challenge for all GoH members to enter. Stay tuned for that later today.
