Derfel Cadarn Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Some very nice builds coming from Mitgardia! Looks like Avalonia may have to start trying now!
Ecclesiastes Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Some very nice builds coming from Mitgardia! Looks like Avalonia may have to start trying now! Indeed... trying... Here is mine by the way: Guardtower
Fives Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 (edited) Sir Galdon, here, in new garb and with more soldiers! I sport the colours of Mitgardia! A friendly elf, Aryana, who has joined my small band of troops to help the Guild! Some soldiers, with shining helms and sharpened spears! And last, but not least, Herorith, my dragon friend, who will hopefully bring some warmth to our cold northern land! We fight for Jarl Nibelung, and the glory of Mitgardia! Edited November 18, 2011 by Fives
Etzel Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 My watchtower is up now too: At the frozen river The only 5-sided tower so far.
Sirens-of-Titan Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 Mitgardians, great work so far! I hope that this weekend will bring more of you closer to posting your towers. We are currently finalizing some of the judging rules, and picking out prizes. Trust me, you will be happy with them. Something I have noticed in our Guild is that there are a few distinct styles emerging, following very closely with our armed forces designs. 1) There is the classic viking/Norse/dwarf designs which are more mythological and tribe-based, and focuse much more on those inhabitants. 2) There is a very well-defined sense of a castle faction with mighty towers and fortresses, for the professional army of green-sleeved men in armor. This diversity makes Mitgardia a great realm to build in as there are literally no restrictions in the styles that you can explore. (Save for the open desert of course) With each challenge I will be encouraging members to build more and more elaborate and creative MOC's, exploring not just the expected Mitgardian landscape, but also the world around it; from dwarven cities to long-lost temples. From mighty mountain fortresses to humble fishing villages. I believe you are an amazing group of MOC'ers, I am pleasantly surprised and encouraged by the amount of submissions already, and can't wait to see the rest! Keep it up, and soon Mitgardia will be a marvelous place that we have built together and are truly proud of!
Angeli Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I believe you are an amazing group of MOC'ers, I am pleasantly surprised and encouraged by the amount of submissions already, and can't wait to see the rest! You know that we Drow hate you mitgardinas from the bottom of our soul, altogether with your senile oldtimer of a guildleader, but even we must say, this is one good leadership;) So, we are thinking, we will reward you for this and conquer you the last. ...or the first, good leaders should go first, or they will make more trouble later... ...ok, nothing, expect one of those two ;)
Calanon Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 First of all I'd like to apologise for the poor picture quality, the lens on the camera I used isn't very good at close up pictures. I, Calanon, pledge my allegiance to Mitgardia! The army
Fat Tony Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Here's a look at my Dwarven tower: I still need to build the terrain around it and finish furnishing the inside. It should be finished by next weekend. For Mitgardia!
Hersbrucker Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 @ Fat Tony Thats a amazing MOC, I'm impressed that you use the Sport plates Love it!
panda1 Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Here is my entry! Röhrief is the chief of an nordic village, he and his mans sware fidelity to the jarl! The army

I would be cautious about who you throw insults at, Drow scum! My dragon Herorith despises Drow, but he would eat your kind if only to spit them back out again, bloody and mutilated. I wish not to start a war, but hold your tongue the next time you plan to threaten Jarl Nibelung, if there must be a next time! Edited November 20, 2011 by Fives

It is hard for a Drow to make a compliment, so just take it :) I've spent hours thinking how to compliment without seaming weak ;) anything less, and someone would try to take my place here in Nocturnus :)
Sirens-of-Titan Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 Good to hear you appreciate our leadership Drow master. Welcome all new members! @ Fat Tony: Great Dwarven construction! Can't wait to see the final product! @ Fives: Love the snowy terrain; very thematic and looks good with our army design! Long live Mitgardia!
Fives Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 @ Fives: Love the snowy terrain; very thematic and looks good with out army design! Long live Mitgardia! Thank you, my liege. I was lucky to have snow in my backyard, so I took the opportunity. Unfortunately, it is all gone, but soon it will return. Also, I have finished construction on a small tower and will be posting pics soon.
kabel Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 (edited) @SOT: I currently have a 48x96 large moc sitting on my desk, awaiting completion as the second stage of this project. I was wandering whether I should declare this a Midgardian Moc or not. @panda: I'd change the sand green, red and dark green sleeves of your troops to normal green. They currently look a little avalonian/kaliphlian for my taste Edited November 20, 2011 by kabel
Fives Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 @panda: I'd change the sand green, red and dark green sleeves of your troops to normal green. They currently look a little avalonian/kaliphlian for my taste They might be spies! Actually, this talk of colors has got me thinking: aren't green and yellow a bit too summery for the north? We need cold colors, like blue and white, to fit with our wintry home. I know that it is the Guild leader's choice, but I just think that, with Avalonia already sporting dark green and gold, maybe we need to get away from green?
Fives Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 (edited) Sorry for the double post, but this is my watch tower: It may not look so extravagant as the other towers in the land, but that is due to my lack of resources. We were attacked, as you can see, by some undead beings, likely form the east. My men fight to defend Jarl Nibelung! A hammer is as good as any weapon! My elf friend kills these Nocturnus fiends with ease. Yet some may still kill us! I fight for the glory of Mitgardia! The dark spell caster who led the attack. He is dead now. I surely hope this tower will help in defending the great lands of Mitgardia! Edited November 20, 2011 by Fives
Artanis I Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 We were attacked, as you can see, by some undead beings, likely form the east. Unlikely, as we are at peace - and the King has decreed anyone defying his orders is in deep poos. It is more likely that you have enemies within your own ranks from your own land. My elf friend kills these Nocturnus fiends with ease. FRAMED! It's a set-up! Treacherous lying Mitgardian trying to get us law abiding citizens in trouble!

I was unaware of our alliegance to the east. If that is the case, then these beings that I fought must be wild in nature. My apologies, Nocturnian. I meant no offense. Also, my elf friend Aryana has sworn fealty to Mitgardia, and is thus an ally to all those who are our friends. But still, she is an elf who likes to fight, and when in battle, she is not to be reckoned with. Edited November 21, 2011 by Fives
Blockburn Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 After several days of traveling through the land, I, Kārlis von Blockburn, have come to realize that I would be best suited here, in Mitgardia. Altough I may be joining a little late, it would be an honour to serve the yellow and green banner.

My apologies, Nocturnian. I meant no offense. Each guild received a post issued from the King (via staff) on Friday. Check page 10. Also as far as I am aware, there isn't any allegiance or alliance or anything, just that the guilds aren't allowed to raid/attack etc each other. (But we can probably still verbally stir each other )

My apologies, Nocturnian. I meant no offense. Not a problem. You won, didn't you? So, they do not deserve to call them self nocturnians, and as week, should disappear from the face of the Historia. Only the strongest should be in Nocturnus ;)

Haltiamieli Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 That torso is great! Official? From which set? It's the CMF Viking with arms changed from yellow to brown.
