Garmadon Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Time for titles: Garmadon and Infernum can call themselves Royal Architects from now on! The hanging gardens was an unique idea, as was the garden deep inside the mountains. Thanks, Ecc. First title for me!
Ecclesiastes Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Thanks Ecclesiastes, I'm gald you like my idea! Actually, I forgot some of the titles I've earned so far, I guess I have to update my profile now ... I'm currrently using a Nikon coolpix of the cheapest kind. Currently it's falling apart and keeps crashing ever so often. Being used to an slr camera this camera frustrates me big time. Problem is, I bought a really expensive analog camera shortly before digital cameras became the fashion. I still love to take film pictures and am not willing to give this up. So basicly I'm using the Nikon just for taking moc pictures. Using film for that would be rediculous! A friend of mine always carries two cameras with him(read on vacation). Because he says, if I see something really beautifull film captures it the best. So I understand why you won't give that up! Yay another title! And I definitely plan on getting quite a few free builds in, probably won't take to much more than a week or two to finish this Good to hear. My problem is that I have to many ideas for free-builds but none for the challenge yet. Thanks, Ecc. First title for me! Your welcome, hopefully more will follow
Infernum Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Thanks everyone! @Gideon- Yup, those are minifig legs! Cool! A title, my first! Thanks Ecc!
soccerkid6 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 A new WIP pic (purposefully blurry, can't give everything away ):
kabel Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 that's a pretty big indoor scene! And I see a kiddi wallpaper
soccerkid6 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Looks great SK! I see beds... Yup there are quite a few of those that's a pretty big indoor scene! And I see a kiddi wallpaper Yeah, maybe a tad too big I'm hoping my bricks hold out, it does give me plenty of space for all the furnishings though. Gonna have to do something about that wallpaper, maybe I'll put a LEGO poster there
Kai NRG Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Really a huge interior, looking great so far too! I like the bunk beds, can't wait to see the finished thing!
Cara Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Yes, thats an enormous scene! They just keep getting bigger and better.

Thanks, won't be long now Yes, thats an enormous scene! They just keep getting bigger and better. Thanks, this is the first interior in which I've had space to do everything I want furnishing wise and still have it not be crowded Another WIP pic, only have one room left:
Simon_S Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Very impressive WIP Soccerkid ! Also you really get your own style with these "more than one floor" buildings!
-Carson Haupt- Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Looks great, but why are there Avalonian shields?
Rogue Angel Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 There are multiple guilds that use the dragon insignia. No shield or crest is solely reserved for a specific guild's use.
soccerkid6 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Very impressive WIP Soccerkid ! Also you really get your own style with these "more than one floor" buildings! Thanks! Wow! That is very impressive! Nice work SK! Thank you Looks great SK! Thanks Torgar Looks great, but why are there Avalonian shields? Thanks, and there are Avalonian shields because it is an Avalonian castle I finished the build yesterday so expect pics withing a few days
Cara Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I started the herulean effort of cleaning off my desk. It always takes twice as long to clean up and sort as it does to build. And by the time I've spent mad hours building something I'm all lego'ed out - and so are my family! But today I decided to try separating a few minifigures from their keychains. I have one that I want to use in the upcoming challenge (or free build if I don't get the hours to complete it) and tried the method of using a soldiering iron. It worked fabulously! Now I'm addicted and need to hunt out the bag of anubis guards I bought on sale at Legoland one time and of which one died in a previous attempt to separate due to the shape of the earred helmet.
kabel Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 As I'm currently putting together my Mitgardian carrack, I was wondering why we havn't figured out a coat of arms or crest for our guild yet. I need something to paint on the sails but I haven't come up with anything decent yet. So does anyone have an idea? Or could we share ideas, or even make this a challenge?
soccerkid6 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) @Cara: Hope your sorting/cleaning goes quickly. It's much more fun to build, so I motivate myself to sort by thinking about a new build @kabel: Hmm, are you thinking of using an official LEGO crest? I can't think of any good shield designs for Mitgardia right now Took some pics of my interior today, hopefully will be posting them tomorrow Edited March 13, 2013 by soccerkid6

Are you talking about the color of the sails or a picture of something on the sail? I think it would be a great challenge, but one we could use afther the deadline of challenge 6! @Cara: Hope your sorting/cleaning goes quickly. About the shields, I think the rounds shields from the vikings and highlander from the collectables are screeming Mitgardia!
soccerkid6 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Finally got my interior posted: Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=78302
kabel Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 @eccles: in dutch it's wapen (heraldiek) according to wikipedia. So basicly a more or less simple graphic symbol for our guild that I think should be on the sails of any Mitgardian ship. Problem is, I can't think of anything .. @sk: looking awesome mate!
Cara Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) I did my sorting last night, so now I can get back to building my trebuchet. I was working from this video of Warwick castles working trebuchet. I like visiting that castle whenever I'm over with family. But its looking like to do it justice its too big for the MOC, I shall have to see if any smaller still works or else change to a catapault instead. However, I still have my "specials" box to sort. All the little things that normally go into other boxes and aren't sorted by colour or type (window, animal etc). I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. Edited March 14, 2013 by Cara
