Cara Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) Don't want to be hit by that! Yes its too large. The size needed for the boom arm plus I was thinking of some oxen pulling it, would take up most of my battlefield! I'm going to go bake some iced buns while I think about this. Maybe something like this: I really like that infinity knot. Clean simple, a little bit celtic, a little bit viking. Edited March 14, 2013 by Cara
kabel Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 @Cara: what an awesome video! @Eccs: Yes that's it! And definetely something I could think of using!
gedren_y Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Actually, Cara, that is a triquatra. It is a symbol of the Tripple Goddess. A knotwork symbol might be what you want, though. There are dozens of variations on that theme. There are Celtic and Norse examples on several online retailers. These sites have good images that designs could be borrowed from. http://www.museumreplicas.com/ http://www.gaelsong.com/
Cara Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 No, I like it as it is. I was thinking of it as an endless knot but its nice to know its actual name.
Ecclesiastes Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Ship, interior and I assume the red house! Looking great so far
soccerkid6 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 @kabel: The ship looks superb and the interior seems to be almost done
kabel Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 the interior is done except for 5 red-brown headlight bricks I can't seem to get, the ship needs string rigging and the red house misses some 300 or so 2*1 plates, other than that I'm almost done
Gunman Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Gunman and Soccerkid are truly Trade/Economic Titans! The wine is indeed famous and Mitgardians need fur for sure. thanks a lot Ecc! :) just saw this, i am away from home during march for work.
Kai NRG Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013  Is that why Ondylion was too tough for Rogueang? Mitgardians and their cats...
Ecclesiastes Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013  Is that why Ondylion was too tough for Rogueang? Mitgardians and their cats... And that's just our cats
Infernum Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 All right! I just took some photos of my second build for Challenge VI: Victor's Inner Keep. Hope you enjoy it! I promise I'll make a thread eventually. . I think I've already improved over my short time in GoH! I love how the outside looks!
Ecclesiastes Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I promise I'll make a thread eventually. . I think I've already improved over my short time in GoH! I love how the outside looks! Making a (wip) threat isn't necessary yet! And you are completely right, you've improved a lot so that's promising for your future builds! The stonework on the outside does look good, as does the interior and the windows. Keep it up!

soccerkid6 Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 @Infernum: Looking good, the windows add a nice bit of color and I like the ruined feel
Simon_S Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I already finished the first house in my first build for challenge 6 , just to let you know...
Garmadon Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I already finished the first house in my first build for challenge 6 , just to let you know... Well, I just started my first build yesterday, so I hope to get it finished sometime next week, hopefully. It is going to be a rather dificult build, though, and I'm sadly deficient in Mitgardian soldiers. I don't know if I'll be able to muster up the 35 or so I'll need for the build.
kabel Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) I don't know if I'll be able to muster up the 35 or so I'll need for the build. where does it say you need 35? I don't have that many either ... @eccs: which set are the green coats from? Edited March 21, 2013 by kabel
Garmadon Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 where does it say you need 35? I don't have that many either ... @eccs: which set are the green coats from? No, I didn't mean that any rule said I need 35 Mitgardian soldiers, just that if I want to pull off this MOC the way it's heading just now, I'll need that many.
Rogue Angel Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 @eccs: which set are the green coats from? Dk green cloaks come in the most recent chess set and the Mirkwood Elf polybags (I think those are dark green).
Legonardo Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Dk green cloaks come in the most recent chess set and the Mirkwood Elf polybags (I think those are dark green). and urukhai army, i think some others aswell.
