SK, it would be an honor. We may end up having our own league of extraordinary heroes when this gets done....

I will try to recreate each person's figure they send as accurately as possible. The reason why I didn't ask for sig figs was because, it seems that many of them will be elsewhere during the battle for Historica. Oh... not to be morbid, but when you all submit your warrior, let me know if it is alright to plot kill him / her... Of course some could just get injured and not be able to continue...

Finally, one last favor. In one months’ time, I request that each of you to send one of your strongest and most trusted men to the coordinates listed at the end of this letter. If I am successful, there will be a mission waiting for them that requires talent and strength that only an elite team could handle. (if you want to participate, post a picture / name of who you are sending).

Altan the Bold had begun preparation for the mission and represents the House of Kalores.

@Ska

Being that I'm sending my Sigfig, you probably need a picture. A good picture of Owlan is on the first page of the Avalonia Guild (Im too busy to take a face front photo for the time being). He will be arriving wearing his usual armor and pendant. If you feel that his armor is lacking (being that you are lacking the parts required to build him) he will gladly accept any armor he is given. He does prefer a sword however. Handing him a bow would be no where near wise. He has very, very little skill in that area.

Yeey tomorrow picture time for my latest freebuild!!!

Don't forget everyone: if you want to buy new windows, buy the Mpya Stedor Golden Windows!!

"We brighten your day!"

I have The Battle at the Ruins of Mehd finished. It's why Squire Greisun's return to Mpya Stedor was delayed. I just have to wait to photograph it, because of work tomorrow. Wahl and Lohp Zuuree along with Kynkayd Hernbolnd and a Mountain Mummy are with him. The small force of skellies will be no match for the warriors of the Kaliphlin.

So two more builds on the way! We seem to be on a roll, keep it up guys! I'm almost done with the first part of my Challenge VI, should be able to finish it by the end of the week, what I'm wondering is do you guys think I should WIP the challenge and reveal the builds as I do them or just wait until I have all three? I'm almost done with the prelude story, so that's not too much of a problem, what do you guys think? (I lean toward revealing them as I have them ready since I don't like waiting. But I'm not sure...)

That's a tough call...I'm going through the same thing. I have the first build wrapped up, just need to photograph it. I have the second build about 50% done. I am thinking that I will do it all in one big reveal and not even upload them to Flickr for a while yet

I THink I will post one, and then the other two together.

A for what you should do, does it feel natural to post them separately? Do you have good cliffhangers? Or, do they feel like they all would flow best in immediate sequence?

Yeah, I kind of feel like I have good cliff-hangers but I'm not sure, I have the rough outline but the story has yet to be written. One thing about doing them one at a time is that then I'm not left with a huge story to write at the end (knowing me, it's bound to be long...) Plus I'm using the first build at least with another setting for a different Challenge (that's what's forcing me to finish this week), so that set-up at least will be uploaded. It probably depends on how much time/incentive I have for writing...

Out of curiosity, what challenge elsewhere?

And... don't you know that Historica is a full time job? - We are at war! We can't have you spreading your talents elsewhere... But really, good luck in the other contest!

 Tell that to Si-MOCs, he ran an entire Sci-Fi month... fortunately now it's Fabuland and I don't have any pieces nor am I that interested in the prizes, honestly...

Anyway, this one's also for LCC, I believe you are an outlaw there, so don't blame me for signing up...

Thanks!

Edit: Sci-Fi, not Si-Fi...

Yeah... apparently I posted my entry for the first half, and flickr deleted the photo because I was over the limit in that upload batch.... Why didn't they tell me that when I uploaded? Anyway, I do hope to get my second half in over there. Although I feel like an outsider (I just was not active in the beginning because of my housing situation although I was excited to participate) in LCC so it's not really my priority. I thought that might be the contest you were talking about. I believe there are more than a couple people in GoH that moonlight over there. Also, my character was harder to execute over there because he just doesn't fit in well. If it were allowed, I probably would have killed him and joined one of the main factions.

If you're having trouble with the Flickr limit, I'd suggest you try to re-size your images, I do that and am rarely over... (I do have the holiday gift right now, but even before that I didn't have trouble after re-sizing.

Anyway... yeah, I think there are several GoH LCCers... and the nice thing about GoH as opposed to LCC is there seem to be less rules. It might not be quite as realistic (more non-human creatures here, I think), but it's nice!

And of course, GoH does take priority for me too. Though, as long as I a building, might as well as kill two birds with one stone...

And, while I'm here, I've finished the build part of that MOC, so I should be able to photograph it Monday... though GoH might not see it for a while anyways...

I know what you mean, that cheese conversation in Mitgardia would have had the mods shutting down the thread and banning people at CC! Ha... Anyway, the point system is a little rigid over there too, although I think I suggested some of it when it was all getting formed. I actually mapped out a giant wargame rules process so that people could capture other people's lands and what not. Some people thought it was cool, but most seemed to want more open story lines like Historica. But, I think over the year, it has been war, war, and more war there... meaning maybe they should have taken my rules for conquest after all!

As for Flickr, I might just buy the pro. It seems reasonable. I only ever use it for Lego though.

Can't wait to see what you have going.

I'm drawing a blank on this... what's LCC?

the guys on classic castle didn't have it in them to pop over and join GOH so that replicated it in there own forum, Lands of Classic Castle. at least I think thats what it stands for

Oh, I thought it might have something to do with CC, but when I googled LCC it came up with Lego Christian Community. I've checked out CC a few times, but haven't really felt the need to get involved. I barely have enough time for GoH, and have neglected the rest of EB recently. Is LCC any good?

I don't think its as good as GOH, so I haven't bothered to participate. there are a few cool MOCs that come out of it, and they do have challenges.

LCC has too many rules for me. I don't know if they still require it, but LCC has this rule that you have to have your group's flag colors flying somewhere in each build. Many build a thick base and attatch the flags there. IMHO, this detracts from the scenes.

You are supposed to represent your guild's colors in every build (within the lands of your guild)

Well I started my online Lego thing with CC (the blog, not the forum, in fact I really didn't know they had a forum until after I joined GoH). I find it hard to find things over there unless you know what your looking for and the forum setup here at EB is so much better imo even with the server interuptions  . I'v gone over there a few times to see if I had picked the right place to join but even though they have soem great MOCers like Mark of Falworth for instance, I always get lost over there. There was another one called Legends of Bricktom that Si mentioned but it seems that that one ha been disbanded already.

Double post but this was posted while I was posting so I just felt like saying it. We at Kaliphlin are boycotting our leaders absence... so no more Kaliphlin colors until he returns...

It's actually the detailed point system that struck me as a few too many rules - though it does make it easier for the leaders since they don't have to grade an MOC, just count it. But then, that does kind of take away incentive to do the best you can. And it is a bit hard to navigate (though, EB cost me some getting used to as well, so I may just not be the best and finding my way around forums...).

@MK, Legends of Brickdom ( ) is Flickr based, so there was one group that got disbanded but now another one has been started. But if CC isn't as easy to get around in, Flickr is worse (no go to newest post!), so though I've checked it out I figured GoH and LCC was enough... plus, they seem to have even more rules...

Double posts actually merge unless it's been several hours (and now I'm afraid this won't merge...) - but  yes, I guess I still haven't got the colors in my build yet... :look: (I will get them in though. But the nice thing is you don't actually have to have the flag, just the colors).
