Xyver Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Good job Xyver. To claim more land is always good. Lets hope he gave you some well developed land and some sort of swamp where nothing grows and nobody wants to spend his days. You must be an excellent rider you're riding without a saddle and the other lord, too. ;-) Kerntechniker, I am a master of everything I do! The other lord obviously not as he was not up to the task. As for the land, I did indeed inherit some swamp land, but it now acts as a border between of my land, so all is good.
K.Kreations Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 (edited) Great job everyone! So many great builds they are hard to keep track of! I have finally gotten some decent pictures of the Great Avalonian Treasure Hall. The hall is as old as the capital it's self. Although it now holds only a portion of the many treasures it once held. Most of it was moved to more secure locations. Many years ago I was assinged the job of protecting the treasure. We decided that a Wyvern was the best way to protect it. A young Wyvern by the name of Yokem has protected it for many years. Those foolish enough to try to rob the hall will meet a very undesirable fate. Here it is. Bandits Raid Final by K.Kreations, on Flickr I will post a topic for it where there is a short story for it. C&C are always welcome! Edited January 5, 2012 by K.Kreations

Treasure Hall Surprise by K.Kreations, on Flickr I will post a topic for it where there is a short story for it. C&C are always welcome! Awesome Treasury K.Kreations! I also just so happened to finish the treasury for the Mystic Forest! Glad to see our guild amass wealth and to be fighting along side such awesome brethren. :) === The hidden treasury of Avalonia is buried in the depths of the Mystic Faerie Forest and few have ever seen within it's sacred caverns, save the foresters. They are always adding to its abundance while still exemplifying generosity. Not only is this secret cave filled with wonders, but it is also a secret passage to the Faerie Forest City! "We over the years of plundering our oppressors, have amassed countless crowns from tyrannical kings. We have guarded priceless jewels and powerful artifacts worn by warriors of old. And today we pay another visit to the wealth of our history. The forestmen... will rise again from the heart of the Faerie Forest, and the soul of Avalonia. Long have we stayed hidden, it is time we showed our strength." Here is the link to the Eurobricks thread here.

You certainly know how to rock forestmen builds. I'm so glad I'm in the same guild as you. Long live Avalonia!
narbilu Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Fellow Avalonians, The first steps for the Hemresa traderoute protection is finished. Here is my gatehouse / watchtower. Because I await more bricks to arrive soon, I finished the first layers of the tower and are proud to post the prelim pictures. More pictures As the deadline is tomorrow, I just couldn't wait to finish the first part. I hope Avalonia will grow soon, I know the Hemresa trade route will.
Rolli Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Fellow guildsmen! The deadline's tomorrow and I think, my architects and builders won't make it. Nevertheless I wan't to prove, that I am not unworthy - hereby I present my unfinished watchtower. I hope I can finish it by tomorrow evening but just in case: It's surrounding is already finnished but as the focus lies on the watchtower... Best regards, Sir Moriartus
K.Kreations Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Wow Rolli! Thats one great tower! And that certainly is a lot of dark green cheese slopes! I'm glad you're part of the guild!-K.Kreations
Rolli Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Wow Rolli! Thats one great tower! And that certainly is a lot of dark green cheese slopes! I'm glad you're part of the guild!-K.Kreations Thanks! These two roof pieces consist of ~260 cheese slopes, but there are 4 to go ;) (i have like 1.6k dark greene cheese slopes, bought them for another project that i had to put aside..) Still hoping to finish this one! Best regards!
Derfel Cadarn Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 Excellent work o all the new creations rolling in, the quality in builds keeps getting better and better. It really great to see you all pushing yourselves and producing some stunning mocs. Avalonia just gets better and better! Thanks! These two roof pieces consist of ~260 cheese slopes, but there are 4 to go ;) (i have like 1.6k dark greene cheese slopes, bought them for another project that i had to put aside..) Still hoping to finish this one! Best regards! Well done Rolli, this is looking so unique and extremely well built! The details round the door are fantastic and really work well. Im a big fan of using wedge pieces for roofs, it looks great and you are doing a good job of a tricky technique with the angles. I hope you get it finished, however I would not want you to rush this as its looking like it has great potential. Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing the end result. @K.kreations, don't worry, the reason why its not in the list is merely because the list hasn't had its final update. JacksonRemus Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 My Lord and fellow Guildsman, I am pleased to present The Masons Tower. Built to honor the Black Miners who originally inhabited the Obsidian Pass, now known as Azgareth.
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 A small dairy farm has been built in the A.T.C. lands, the farmer and his wife and son may live and use the lands in exchange for a part of their dairy products.
Rolli Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 May I present - the Watchtower of Moria Guarding the Pastures of Moria that I still have to claim. And with this amount of cheese slopes I may consider building a cheese dairy.. ;) Best regards!
Doornroosje Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 The settlement of Arod Mearas is not only surrounded by green pastures for the horses, but also by some farmlands. On the rich soils different kinds of crops are grown and also some fruit trees can be found. This is the farm of farmer Cullen, his wive Angwen and son Imar at Arod Mearas. (My entry for the High Chief of Agriculture)

Rolli Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 (edited) And let me guess, Moria has a mine in it I don't think so. Yet. And to make it clear: I did not take the reference from Tolkiens Lord of the Rings but from my photographic projects (moriartus.com). Moreover "moria" is greek for olive tree... Just to make sure cause everyone is asking :/ (Sir Moriartus -> Moria -> doesn't it look like it could be logical?) Greetings! Edited December 15, 2011 by Rolli

Rolli Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 It was just a friendly joke. Wasn't meant to be offensive, just to everyones information. But yeah, mines with small dwarven workers and a grey wise man fighting a diabloesque balrog - why not? Need to find some hobbits though ;)

Rogue Angel Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) A whole day with no other comments on our thread? What's up Avalonia? If you're like me, you've been surfing Watch Towers all day. After doing just that myself, I've gotta say we're rocking the Watch Tower challenge, both in numbers and quality. There are definitely some gems from the other guilds, but we appear to have gotten the lion's share of the members and MOCers. GLORY FOR AVALONIA! Edited December 17, 2011 by rogueang

I agree. c'mon guys, lets keep the general discussions going. On another note, is this topic going to be moved in to the guilds of Historica sub-forum. Edited December 17, 2011 by Andonii
Derfel Cadarn Posted December 17, 2011 Author Posted December 17, 2011 I am really impressed by the quality of the Watchtowers you have produced. So many great mocs! We will soon be finding out how many points they have earned us, then the top 5 will go up against the other guilds entries. I have been busy building the village these last two days, so havn't had much time to write anything. Its a busy period of the year for most people, so I expect the thread to be a little quiet over Xmas. However, its going to be all systems go after Xmas, we have only just started and there is lots in store!
ZCerberus Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 But yeah, mines with small dwarven workers and a grey wise man fighting a diabloesque balrog - why not? Need to find some hobbits though ;) Hee hee... funny you should post this the day before Lord of The Rings is announced! I supposed we should try to leave LotR to its own thread though. EDIT: hee hee laughing at my own title. Just noticed it.
Legonardo Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 The land Glevum is above the richest mine in avalonia, Gruven and is crowded with dwarves and hobbits (and humans of course)
Matn Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 (edited) I finally finished my watchtower: Also I'd like to claim a patch of land (if it's not taken already), called Arcadonia in the Enchanted Forest: Edited December 18, 2011 by Matn
