Derfel Cadarn Posted February 18, 2012 Author Posted February 18, 2012 Well guildsmen, after discussing things with Z, I have decided to give some open parts to my story, so that other people can continue it. The story is about a quest to discover the location of the secret Druid treasure, the Life Force of Historica, as mentioned in the first post of Avalonia. It will start with a group of characters from the guild who have been sent to Nocturnus to track down an old Mage who might have some information regarding the Location of the hidden shrine. Once they find the Mage, the characters will then be sent to follow different leads. This will then allow someone else to take that character and continue the characters story with mocs of his adventures. Zcerberus will be taking his character on theough his own story from this. You don't have to carry on the story of finding the Life Force, for example I may send one character to go in search of clues, but he might end up getting caught up in a whole new adventure. It's up to you, but if anyone wants to continue a characters story then feel free to do so. Or you might just want to start your own from scratch, what ever you wish. Either way, I hope to have the first part up by the beginning of next week. However, the story of the Life Force may soon be set to engulf all the guilds
Captain BeerBeard Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I've actually been working on a church for Antyria the last few days. I just have one last section to finish but have been stumped on it because I have a few idea's and only room for one. @ZC Remember that only a few Avalonian's know of Zakon's dark nature. I can't wait to see what you got cookin' up!
ZCerberus Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 @ZC Remember that only a few Avalonian's know of Zakon's dark nature. I can't wait to see what you got cookin' up! Oh, it will be fun. Don't worry- I need your for your mage skills, not your assassination skills... this time...
Rogue Angel Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) Varis is going to have to retrieve his Elves from the Drow, plus I've got a historical MOC coming in Nocturnus soon. Edited February 18, 2012 by rogueang
de Gothia Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) My latest moc for Benoic Benoic Inn by de Gothia, on Flickr edit: thread can be found here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66530 Edited February 19, 2012 by de Gothia
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 During the construction of the warehouse and A.T.C. headquarters in Albion there is also a ship under construction. Based on one of the ships in this harbour: This is because the Avalonian fleet could use another ship to stand a chance against the other guilds, which rule the seas... But not for long! Avalonia needs strong and safe trade routes at sea! The A.T.C. is willing to build a trade cog and a powerful escort ship, even if it is only to blast these corsairs out of the water!
Derfel Cadarn Posted February 19, 2012 Author Posted February 19, 2012 Greetings guildsmen! The embassy's have been built and Historica is at an all time high, but an ancient power is stirring deep in the land. You will all soon be about to embark on quest, to take part in a story. The next challenges will be part of that story and lead up to some epic craziness! Could the land of Historica be about to face its toughest challenge yet? Things will be heating up soon! It's time to find out about what those Druids really left behind! Is it good or evil? Only time will tell. Stay tuned
kabel Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 (edited) @CB: I'm looking forward to your ships and am quite excited about what your cog will look like in comparison to mine! It's great to see other pirate builders attemting this era of seafare. Great idea to use ANNO as a source of inspiration! @DC: sounds exciting! Edited February 19, 2012 by kabel
K.Kreations Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Boy am I excited! With all these hints and rumors around I can hardly wait. The story and quest stuff sounds awesome but is a lot like something I was planning to do in the very beggining but never did.... At least now we can all participate! The Drow arena fighting was very enjoyable to read about and just plain fun. Can't wait to see results of the ebassies and more great builds from the amazing guildsmen of Avalonia!-Kyle
MikeyB Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) The Wondrous Antics of Barnum and his Convivial Troupe are heading to Circardia! Here is another build I have been working on I finally finished my wagons and want to give you a teaser for an upcoming build. More photos and back story HERE let me know what you think! Rogue Angel Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Too funny MikeyB. I too worked on my wagon yesterday. I didn't even consider the rounded style - I really like it! I was looking for a nice smooth design, and the curves are great on yours. I don't have the back story up yet, and I am probably at least a couple of weeks (BL orders) away from posting the final scene, but I too will give a teaser. C&C welcome!

I thought about adding a side window to mine as well but in the end, I liked the curve too much. I like the look of yours! Great job on the roof especially around the dormer window
Maxim I Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 What's about the wagons? (they are very nice, but I wonder why everybody is making them... )
Si-MOCs Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 And so it was that the four Great Guilds of Historica reinforced the bonds between them with masterful diplomacy. Pleased with the newly-established era of unity, the High King Draconius has decided to tour the realm of Historica, so that he may survey all the newly-built embassies and note-worthy sights first-hand, and reward all those whose efforts had helped insure the peace. From the Capital Stronghold of Cedrica, the High King, his entourage and armed guard shall make their way to each of the four realms of Historica. Thus the King has sent messengers to every Guild, decreeing they must prepare their land for his arrival. “It is a time of peace and prosperity” the King has announced; and all in Historica will be well advised to remember it. With this new peace, the High King has decided to focus the the realm in more historical pursuits - gathering a great champion from each realm to look for an infamous Historian who may hold the answer to the Mystery of Historica's fabled hidden shrine... Stay tuned for more...
Rogue Angel Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 What's about the wagons? (they are very nice, but I wonder why everybody is making them... ) I'm sure you realize that wagons are the main source of commercial transportation, the main mode of personal transportation for the lower classes (after walking) and the only viable form of portable habitation. Even though it's camel, camel, camel in Kaliphlin, that is not representative of the other 3 guilds.

Captain BeerBeard Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 They're coming..... Look's like someone has been busy! Lookin' good!
Derfel Cadarn Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Great wagons and assassins, It's interesting idea. They first part of the story that will open challenge 3 should be posted today. Then challenge 3 should set up challenge 4. We are now trying to take the builds in a interesting direction that will play out a story and give the challenges more of a purpose.
robuko Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 You guys don't use camels in your Guilds???? How barbaric! Not all guilds are are blessed as we are with the mighty and versatile camel, although the PGTC does have a thriving export business in camel milk, camel leather and camel steaks. This wagon-bandwagon is pretty cool so far, very nice builds MikeyB and rogueang! Very nice use of the spanner. They first part of the story that will open challenge 3 should be posted today. Then challenge 3 should set up challenge 4. We are now trying to take the builds in a interesting direction that will play out a story and give the challenges more of a purpose. Oh, this sounds very good. I hope it`s related to the quest you have mentioned, having a narrative beyond the war will add quite a lot to the Historica story. I know Angeli will disagree vehemently, but I hope the next challenges will be based on smaller scenes. I found the embassy quite exhausting, and we might get more participants on smaller builds.
Rogue Angel Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Rob - when I found that spanner, I said to myself "Viola." And I agree that Angeli will disagree. VP - I'm intrigued... what will the Assassin's Guild be up to next I wonder. Very excited to hear challenge 3, I'm thinking maybe our 4th challenge may build off our own personal 3rd challenge? Just a thought.
ZCerberus Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Very excited to hear challenge 3, I'm thinking maybe our 4th challenge may build off our own personal 3rd challenge? Just a thought. I am more interested in rouguenag's new position
MikeyB Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Looking forward to the new build. And my tax refund just came in so Bricklink better watch out! I just noticed Rougeang is now a History Regulator as well. great job on the MOC Guide thread rougeang must have been a monster! Did you get my PM about the misdirected links?
Rogue Angel Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 My MOC index caught some eyebrows I guess . MikeyB, I had passed your PM along earlier, but then got promoted, and forgot to go back and fix them myself. They are taken care of though. You're the only person that's PMed me, so maybe the rest are correct (I can only HOPE I was that accurate.)
