Show us your GOH army! you may count them personally next week in my upcomming battle (note, to make it a fair battle for the enemy, I temporarly "converted" half of my army to their side )
Brickington Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Yes, please keep BUSINESS in PMs or in the buy/sell forum. Okay, I've heard a lot of talk about army strength. Let's see it! Show us your GOH army! I am in the middle of building one. I would love to see yours though!
SkaForHire Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Oh no... the dreaded Army thread is about to appear! I was wondering when we were going to get to that! Interested in seeing what types of armies there are out there by this point. To Brickington -- I hope you know that I was just jesting you back, and not serious. I decided to play the heel the last couple days for fun. We don't have Angelli anymore, so someone had to step up!!! DaMax, with one of the best GoH memories is right, I tend to swing Avalonia when it comes to guild politics, but historically Eastgate has been claimed by both guilds, so that might have something to do with accepting nature of its people. However, we of Kaliphlin stick together when times get tough.
ZCerberus Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I don't know if it is "dreaded" I am just hearing a lot of talk with no pictures. I do think it will be interesting to see the types of troops each person has amassed.
Ecclesiastes Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I don't know if it is "dreaded" I am just hearing a lot of talk with no pictures. I do think it will be interesting to see the types of troops each person has amassed. Well let's roll than! (just some showing off )
Balthasar Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I know I can do that, but I can't seem to find someone one to go splits. Anyone else have an idea to buy cheep Avalonian soldiers? I think I can get 20 basic dragon knights for $50 US dollars. Is that worth it? In nocturnus we sell avalonian soldiers for 20kg goat meat a piece. But they are all wearing zombie heads.
Brickington Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 In nocturnus we sell avalonian soldiers for 20kg goat meat a piece. But they are all wearing zombie heads. Really? Is that necessary? I think you have been joking enough for one day.
Dr Rod Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 In nocturnus we sell avalonian soldiers for 20kg goat meat a piece. But they are all wearing zombie heads. Avalonian "soldiers" are so easy to turn it has gotten boring, I make them fight to the death for the chance to be turned these days. Winner eats all!! Dr Rod
Balthasar Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Eating is an excellent solution, my educated friend. I can't stand the smell of avalonian corpses. Why do they have to eat so many dairy product during their short lives?

Although I do like that all 2 members of Nocturnus are invading Avalonia's thread.
Dr Rod Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Although I do like that all 2 members of Nocturnus are invading Avalonia's thread. Consider it a decoy invasion... maybe. Dr Rod
Niku Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Sorry should have put some sarcasm italics... Although I do like that all 2 members of Nocturnus are invading Avalonia's thread. I could almost say it is the entire guild. Bring it on people, if you really want to enter a fight against Avalonia, you should prepare harder. Not enough strong yet, you have been warned. Preparing military mocs.
Zach Mills Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I've seen enough, time to let a few enemy heads roll!
Brickington Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) I could almost say it is the entire guild. Bring it on people, if you really want to enter a fight against Avalonia, you should prepare harder. Not enough strong yet, you have been warned. Preparing military mocs. I've seen enough, time to let a few enemy heads roll! You Nocturions will regret every word you have said. Prepare for Revenge! Well, I will plan the offensive after Revolword is in hell. I have to say, Mitgardia has been very nice to our guild and have not brought us down. May the alliance between Mitgardia and Avalonia be as strong as the blade of my sword! ZCerberus Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Alright simmer down Avalonia. Nocturnus is our friend. But let's see some armies already!
Brickington Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Alright simmer down Avalonia. Nocturnus is our friend. But let's see some armies already! A friend of yours, you traitor! If they were so friendly, why are they invading our topic? I really think you should post a separate topic for armies, just a piece of advice. As for me, I'm in my bed, so no army picture for me tonight.
kabel Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I have to say, Mitgardia has been very nice to our guild and have not brought us down. That is because we are too sedate to hector other guilds! We preserve our strenght for the real fight!!
PenPlays Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Well let's roll than! (just some showing off ) Nice, but it needs more catapults!! ... AND FRUITCAKES!! Alright simmer down Avalonia. Nocturnus is our friend. But let's see some armies already! I'm afraid you have. They are within vicinity of the Beacon... A friend of yours, you traitor! If they were so friendly, why are they invading our topic? The Guilds are free! (when you ignore Revolword) If Nocturnus wishes to speak then let them speak. I'd say the same with Kaliphlin, but I have to be careful with that one.
NiceMarmot Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 But let's see some armies already! I posted this picture a long time ago; probably over a year ago: Castle Army That was about 162 or so. It's grown since then; I'd expect it is over 200 now. Annoy us at your own risk! you may count them personally next week in my upcomming battle Me too. Most of my army is currently occupied in a battle MOC which I hope to eventually finish. Unfortunately, I'm having to use four 32x32 baseplates, and it's taking a while to build the landscaping and stuff; it's about half done. Actually, I just haven't really spent much time on it. I know I can do that, but I can't seem to find someone one to go splits. Anyone else have an idea to buy cheep Avalonian soldiers? I think I can get 20 basic dragon knights for $50 US dollars. Is that worth it? If you're in the US, you should just buy the chess set and keep the lion knights; you need someone for the dragon knights to battle, right? It's $50, and about 23 are usable for armies, so that's just $2.17 per person. Or you can sometimes buy them on BL for around $2 or slightly less (without a shield). Or you can buy them by the part and assemble them. Usually the torsos can be had for about $0.85, legs for $0.26, and heads for under $0.25. A sword or spear adds another $0.10-0.15. The helmets are a bit pricey; usually the cheapest are just under $0.40. So that's around $2 right there. The shields are expensive though; if you want shields for everyone, you're probably better off buying the chess set. I hereby claim all of Avalonia. I think Victor Revolword beat you to it!
Zach Mills Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Whenever I see army pictures, my fist thought is always whether or not I could knock down all figures with a bowling ball.
Maxim I Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 ... DaMax, with one of the best GoH memories is right, I tend to swing Avalonia when it comes to guild politics, but historically Eastgate has been claimed by both guilds, so that might have something to do with accepting nature of its people. However, we of Kaliphlin stick together when times get tough. I have to agree that Professor Geschi Edeh Nis has a very good memorie Long Live Kaliphlin!!! In nocturnus we sell avalonian soldiers for 20kg goat meat a piece. But they are all wearing zombie heads. Haha, this made me laugh Although 20kg goat meat a piece is a high price for an Avalonian Soldier (even with zombie head). Let's say 10kg a piece? Consider it a decoy invasion... maybe. Dr Rod I could almost say it is the entire guild. Bring it on people, if you really want to enter a fight against Avalonia, you should prepare harder. ... @Avalonia, the Drow are banned, not dead. The werewolves are rebuilding together with the Bat tribe, they have not fled You Nocturions will regret every word you have said. Prepare for Revenge! Well, I will plan the offensive after Revolword is in hell. I have to say, Mitgardia has been very nice to our guild and have not brought us down. May the alliance between Mitgardia and Avalonia be as strong as the blade of my sword! What alliance between Mitgardia and Avalonia? You guys are almost in a state of war (remember Rogueang vs Ecclessiastes and the A.A.G. operating in Mitgardian territory?) I posted this picture a long time ago; probably over a year ago: (nice picture of a big army with fearsome camels!!!) Castle Army That was about 162 or so. It's grown since then; I'd expect it is over 200 now. Annoy us at your own risk! Me too. Most of my army is currently occupied in a battle MOC which I hope to eventually finish. I am still not really sure if I have to put a lot of detailing on the base (except for a few rocks on the edges etc). As it is really big (172*90 or maybe more) I fear putting to much details on the base will make it one big chaotic MOC.
mephistopheles Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Whenever I see army pictures, my fist thought is always whether or not I could knock down all figures with a bowling ball. Whenever I see army pictures I think what a greta house I could build out of that money I would get from selling those figures.
