Rogue Angel Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Would love to see your SSP but it's up to you.
C.J.Cutrone9 Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I want to keep it secret, but I want to post it, if I post it I can get feedback to make it my best MOC yet, but at the same time, want to unveil it at BFAL and have it never been seen before.... I'll see when I finish it. I've got to wait for one more package to come in, and then I might have to order one last one. Depends if I can find a few parts in my collection.
Derfel Cadarn Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 Hey guys, I trust you all had a good Xmas, with some new Lego additions! So, does anyone have any building plans for next year, any projects or stories you hope to build? I have been planning a rather epic storyline that will start in the next few weeks. It's going to be set in the time leading up to when Artorius and his men first came to power. I will flush out a lot of backstory to his character as well as Owain and the Shadow Knight, plus introduce new characters and throw in lots of cameos from your own characters. I really want to make the story interesting and try to give enough dialog so people can actually get attached to the characters. Not easy, but I will give it a go. Look forward to seeing what you guys have inshore for the new year! DC Rex
MikeyB Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 This year seemed to fly by for me! the last two weeks have been crazy busy for me I haven't had any time to build. I still have lots on my initial list of builds I would like to finish. One thing I would like to do is a larger castle.
Zach Mills Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 With the additions I made from Christmas, I think some more serious buildings are on the radar for me. I have a build that I photographed over a month ago, but I've been avoiding uploading it because of all of the site updates. I'll get around to that over the weekend.
Captain BeerBeard Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I really haven't been building, just sorting tons of pieces and trying to get my hordes of figs put away. I'm going to continue building my capital city for Antyria. It's called "Crown Point". I know I'm going to keep it together for a while and play with it like a little kid.
Zach Mills Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I know I'm going to keep it together for a while and play with it like a little kid. I do the same thing whenever I build something. I was fiddling with a creator house I bought a few months ago, and ended up playing out my own version of the exorcist in it.
Rogue Angel Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I would like to do a nice character driven storyline as well. I am planning to start my Brickworld display once I have CH VI under my belt, which will be a large castle/Avalonia layout of some sort. I still need to knock out those title builds as well, I just don't seem to have any spare time right now...
Legonardo Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 well I have been playing with figs, domes, and all sorts of random stuff, no MOCs though. just picked up mirkwood spiders though, a few nice parts
Maxim I Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 I'll continue next year with my city :) I changed the lay-out a bit, so my palace will be the highest building of the city and I also made some sketches for the 2 harbor-towers :) These towers are for the upcomming months and after that, I will finally start working on the base of the city :) Also I am looking forward to your stories!! I hope they will be as epic as those of SoT
PenPlays Posted December 29, 2012 Posted December 29, 2012 Oh dear. I just watched LotR Fellowship of the Ring... I'm feeling... Elf-y...
Hyler Talliwell Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I would like to do a nice character driven storyline as well. I am planning to start my Brickworld display once I have CH VI under my belt, which will be a large castle/Avalonia layout of some sort. I still need to knock out those title builds as well, I just don't seem to have any spare time right now... Ooh, Brickworld. I should get to work on that.
Captain BeerBeard Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 I think when my city is done, I will do some stories there.
C.J.Cutrone9 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) Well, after this build, I'll have TONS of parts for a forest area, which is the majority of the area of my little settlement/(what ever you want to call it) of Edaho. This will be staying up till BFAL, where more picture will be taken. Here it is. My "Super Secret Project". So, here is is! Hope you guys enjoy, and sorry for the bad picture. The Story behind it, is that raiders are attacking the Elven Trading outpost on the edge of a river, with this under their control, they can cut off supplies from the village. PenPlays Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 It looks fantastic! You should make a separate thread for it though.
C.J.Cutrone9 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Thanks guys! But, as I said on Flickr, I only have this picture, and this MOC is very difficult to take pictures of it on my background as you can see in the picture. :3 So, I am waiting to take more pictures of it at the convention where background really doesn't matter IMHO, then I'll make the thread for you guys!
ZCerberus Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I would also like to build a big castle of some sort, but I have plans for other stuff right. I have finished, without photographing, Trian's house in Albion. I have started a watch tower build on a 24 x 24 base for Avalonia to fit the ones I took to Brickworld last year which were all 24 x 24 and the Avalonia one is on a 32 x 32 base right now. I have bases for 16 x 16 builds for all of the guilds, but nothing is on them yet. I am working on a special build that is not exactly related to the guilds. I am also planning to build another Evilon... errr... a Nocturnus build. So much stuff, so little time. Due to family obligations I, sadly, won't make it to Brickworld this year. rogue, you may have to take lead for us!
Niku Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Well when real life calls you have to answer it Z. Fortunately will have rogue representing. Happy New Year to all.
Rogue Angel Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 What!!? That sucks Z - I was hoping to augment your builds a little better this year, but now I've really got my work cut out for me... I'm going to have recruit more GoHers this year, or maybe get some more of our attendees together in a cooperative build... Hmmm.
MikeyB Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 so Challenge VI is announced and it looks like I need to get thinking! three builds, one an interior, march 31 deadline. I imagine their will be some monumental builds for this one...Is there any info on this years Brickworld yet? Mikey
C.J.Cutrone9 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) Aw man.. This is probably my fav challenge so far. After BFAL I'll have tons of pieces to make a really cool scene, that story requirement though... That is gonna kill me....... Also, what is the "terrain area" of the evil Mage's castle? Mitigardia? Avalonia? Kaliphin? Definatley not Nocturnus, not the ideal area for an evil Mage, he'd have too much competition. :P Edited January 1, 2013 by C.J.Cutrone9
Legonardo Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 found a use for one of my domes! oh and that SSP is pretty cool, can't wait to see more of it!
mephistopheles Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Happy New Year to all of Avalonia! I have been very busy for the last few month, but finally found some time to build again. I will post some pictures this month. I hope 2013 will be the year of many nice LEGO MOC's for all of us!
Rolli Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Happy new year to all of you! I love the newest challenge. Sadly I won't enter. I'm flying back to Ireland on the 6th so time is way too short. I'm looking forward to what you come up with and will gladly help if I can.
