Brickington Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) Hail! The name is Lord Brickington. I am the Lord of Hanaco! I pledge my service to Avalonia. Lord Brickington, son of Sir Brics, was born in a time of turmoil. There were constant battle and wars, but Brickington's father raise an army and fought off all of his foes. Sir Brics founded the Kingdom of Hanaco and there was peace for a long time. Them the guilds were set up under one kingdom. Sir Brics gave his land to Avalonia, but became the Lord of Hanaco. At the mere age of 19, Brickington became Lord of Hanaco, due to the mestisious disappearance of his father. Although at a young age, Lord Brickington is unmatched in swordsmanship He has been called the best swordsman in Historica. Also, he is not a bad leader, if I may say so myself. He contiues to build the Lordship of Hanaco, in remembrance of his father. However, the mystery of his father's disappearance quite puzzling to him. And he constantly thinks of ways to solve this mystery. I claim the land in yellow as the Lordship of Hanaco: Lord Brickington ready for battle: Edited January 16, 2013 by Brickington
PenPlays Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 You can save the photo of either of the maps of Avalonia on page one, and draw you claim as neatly, or crudely where ever there is no sign of occupation.
Maxim I Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) I claim the land in yellow as the Lordship of Hanaco: How big is your army???? If you have to control every single village in that area, you need at least 500 man (small note, if you are saying numbers in your response, you have to be able to prove it ) Edited January 16, 2013 by DaMaximus

Maxim I Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) The army is of normal size, but the militia is huge. I hope so The reason why I asked is because (the cartographers have to correct me when I am wrong) that area is somewhat the size of a country like Belgium or a state like Florida (in the U.S.), maybe even bigger (I thought the continent of Historica has somewhat the size of the U.S.) Edited January 16, 2013 by DaMaximus

How do I know if I received my title? Edited January 16, 2013 by Brickington
MikeyB Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Welcome Lord Brickington of Hanaco! Does your signature have a interesting Backstory? It usually takes a couple days for Z and Rougeang to update the threads but don't worry they will get around to it

NiceMarmot Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (I thought the continent of Historica has somewhat the size of the U.S.) No, Historica is about the size of Texas.
Brickington Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 No, Historica is about the size of Texas. Well, then I don't really need that big of an army!
mephistopheles Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Welcome Lord Brickington! Good to see such an active member in our guild!
SkaForHire Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Well, then I don't really need that big of an army! If we were using real life historic numbers, 500 men would not really be an exaggeration. But, only a few of us could actually represent something that large in our collection. Besides, even if one has 500 men under their command, not all of them are going to be marching. Presumably some of them will be on defense at various strategic points. I agree looking at the map, the territory looks big, but it isn't the biggest in Avalonia. Anyway, welcome Brickington, even if you play for the wrong team.
mephistopheles Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Looking at the claimed territory I think it is too much. We should leave enough space for future members.
Brickington Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Looking at the claimed territory I think it is too much. We should leave enough space for future members. I don't mind changing it to a smaller size, but I think there is a lot more space on the map for new members. I'll be glad to change it if any of Avalonians agree with you.
Niku Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I wish to claim the land just under Benoic and at the side of Antyria It is the Arfelan Plains. Ps. I would like if possible, include more sigfigs on the next mocs but I hardly can distinguish some minifigs, If members could upload a photo will surely make it easier.
TheLegoDr Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I agree, the land being requested may be a bit too big in size. I haven't participated in Guilds yet, although I did sign up the very first day it was discussed on here. With little time to participate, I never claimed any land or did any of the builds. And I know there are other members or future members that may want some land in the near/distant future. So I'd hate to think one person claiming so much land and leaves very little for anyone else. I think the main problem is Avalonia has a large fellowship compared to some of the other guilds.
Brickington Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Hey, if you want the land, you should have got it before I got it. Due to popular demand, I have changed my claim. I am not downsizing anymore after this. If you want me to downsize from here, you will have to face my blade, and take it from my cold dead body, I would not be happy.
Zach Mills Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) I've just realized, according to that map, the plot of land I own is about 40 times more than I needed. Edited January 16, 2013 by Zach Mills
ZCerberus Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Land claims need not be large. Some of the greatest lords have the smallest estates! Yes, titles take a day or two to show up. We do a decent job of keeping up, but I only update on my home PC so I can link to the MOC. rogueang does a good job indexing MOCs, but if a title in the first post of this thread is missing after a few days, let me know.
PenPlays Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I've just realized, according to that map, the plot of land I own is about 40 times more than I needed. Yeah, once I heard NiceMarmot say Historica was about the size of Turkey, I knew Burrium could be no bigger than Mesodraconem. Is there a chance that Antyria has become free land again?
Brickington Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Is there a chance that Antyria has become free land again? If so, I will be reclaiming my father's land that I have given up.
