Captain Settle Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Series 11 is everywhere in England as well.
Gideon Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Thanks for the offers! I don't think I will be looking for any significant quantities of any single minifigure in this series, but I can think of uses for at least half of the series so if it would be possible to obtain some at sub-BL prices I would be happy
Rogue Angel Posted September 1, 2013 Posted September 1, 2013 Wait, you have found them already? TRU has had them for two weeks, my Lego store starts selling them today, as well as all the Targets. PM if you ate from one of the affected countries and interested. This seems to be a Mitgardian themed series- the bavarian girl and the yeti would fit in well up there- and the barbarian also seems more Mitgardian, but he's more universal.

I can't wait to get ahold of a few yetis! Perfect for Mitgardia! The barbarian is also a great parts pack, with the swords and hair piece.

Man, no one reported them in our lug, at least that I saw -- I need to get to work trying to find some of these.
Rogue Angel Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Man, no one reported them in our lug, at least that I saw -- I need to get to work trying to find some of these. This is the most disappointing set since Series 2 IMO. Yeti, Barbarian, Bavarian Girl and Scarecrow are decent but that's about it. I was excited about the Tiki warrior until I actually got one, not a fan of the way they made tge mask. At least I'll be saving a lot of money!
SkaForHire Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Yeah, I feel that this is a step back, I can't spend that much anyway, so that means I will actually have to feel out packages this time around rather than playing the random game. That is disappointing about the Tiki warrior, as that is also one of the figs that I want to get a couple of badly. What is it about the mask that you don't like?
Legonardo Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 its even here in NZ! not got any though, brickthing just bought all my money with his tablet.
Kerntechniker Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Yes Series 11 has just been released in Germany, "yesterday". Based on the sticker on the box. Regarding the wife discussion I am in heaven, at the beginning of our relationship she accepted it totally and a few months later she had have the idea to start & run a bricklink store. Which has offered me the nice option to get nearly any set I require at excellent conditions.^^ I claim that I win the "wife-competion". :-)
Gideon Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Hard to compete with that My wife at least accepts my hobby, but tends to complain a bit when it takes too much time and I order too much... But she is interested enough to have joined my LUG and bought a couple of module houses, and even made a MOC once
Rogue Angel Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 What is it about the mask that you don't like? The Mask is soft plastic, which understandably necessary for such a detailed piece, but it sits a good 1/4 inch off the head so the islander hairpiece can fit, which makes the figure look wierd from any angle except straight at it. Also, the mask in mine was bent, so it leans forward from the top. I would have preferred no hair, or a headgear instead of neckwear. After actually getting the other 4 GoHable figs (Barbarian, Scarecrow, Bavarian Girl and Yeti), I am pretty impressed. The BG torso & braids and the SC hat are great additions to any medieval village, the Yeti is very well done IMO, and the barbarian has nice Cimmerian garb, 2 swords (which I'd forgotten about) a nice hair piece, and a great face. The only problem is that this series seems much harder to feel for than the last 4 or 5.

Captain BeerBeard Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I haven't seen any 11 yet. I'm only interested by the five rouge mentioned. I don't think I'll be going out of my either to collect many. Series 10 was quite awful too. The series I've bought the least of so far. I still haven't even got all of ten yet and have no plans to.
de Gothia Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I´m waiting for my CMF dealer to send me some of the minifigs! Just hope he will contact me soon! The scarecrow is looking pretty darn nice! I´ve comment on several of the mocs lately and I feel I´m a bit harsh to some regarding the photos. But I feel that when you have put so much time in building your moc it deserves a good presentation. Using flash, no background, and sitting inside in the dark taking pics make a horrible presentaion. Go outside in the shadow, the light is always (well almost always) so much better than in your dark house. Use a background. No one want´s to see your room with all the stuff in the background. Try to edit your photos. Gimp is free and easy to learn. Many tutorials on youtube. My two cents regarding presentation.
Kerntechniker Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I have decided to stop collecting the CMF Series. I have a complete Set of the first 10 series and I think it is a good point only to collect figures fitting to my lego themes pirates/napoleonic or castle/fantasy. Regarding the pictures you get presented here I fully agree with DG, everyone should take the time it needs to give his MOC the right presentation.
Lord Vladivus Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 The last couple of CMF series have failed to grab me interest wise like the first ones did. I've barely looked at series 11 truth be told. But then, I'm a castle/star wars fan so it's a no brainier really.
gedren_y Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I buy CMFs for parts. Most of the figures have multiple uses if you break them apart. I want that Gingerbread Man head to grace the table of one of my MOCs. I may have to wait and BL my wants due to budget issues.
de Gothia Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 You are really stepping up Wedge! Great to have you in Avalonia! I want my scarecrow now!!! =)
MikeyB Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 hey guys sorry I've been absent for a while . Things in life are keeping me away from my hobby! that said I did pick up a few of the new CMF; the bobby (from my time living in England) the barbarian, the scarecrow, the Tiki warrior (disappoint in the mask too) the grandma (wanted grey hair for older villagers) and the Jazz musician (just wanted the sax as I used to play) Also Want the Barvarian girl but could find here but didn't have time to really feel for her. Hopefully Ill get back into the buiding here soon!
Rogue Angel Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Welcome back Mikey! I too have been a bit too busy to build recently with my now 7 week old son. Hopefully I'll be getting some time soon.
NiceMarmot Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Also Want the Barvarian girl but could find here but didn't have time to really feel for her. I think that feeling the Bavarian girl might land you in some serious trouble with the Munich police...
Captain Settle Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I think that feeling the Bavarian girl might land you in some serious trouble with the Munich police... You made my day.
