Glad you liked the video guys, it was my first so the quality is not the best Ill try to improve, and yes, will update as time goes on.

Also some Mocs were taken out of the video because, I had to look at too much images and some were not available at the moment. Sorry for that.

Regarding to the discussion on Kaliphlin I think all have come to good ideas, and IMO is better if every guild account could choose from all the entries to make a good selection and to relieve Derfel, that surely is on a hard task leading us.

Greetings to all. :classic:

nicely done Niku. Glad I made your cut;)

Anyone else having issues with their embassy? I just cant seem to get something I like. I start, tear down, then start again. I keep shifting to a couple other builds I'm working on. Part of my problem is that I am having a hard idea figuring out what i want to build.

It took me about 2 weeks to get a design I liked. Went through many iterations. I knew what I wanted but I couldn't get a look I liked. I'm very pleased with it now. Just power through it.

Glad i had no chance to even start on my embassy. Did much brainstorming though and developed some ideas. Not to forget the packages of bricks that arrived throughout the last weeks.. ;)

Think I will construct something like a surrounding story for it this weekend, featuring a spot in Kaliphin, Nocturnus and finally Mitgardia.. I want to test myself on every of these landscapes..

For those who may ask: I'm building my embassy in Mitgardia, going for a rebuilt ruin look.. Lets see with what i'll come up with..

I'm glad I'm not the only one having troubles with my embassy. I have built wall designs and torn them down at least 3 times. I'm lacking some of the bricks I need so it might be time to visit bricklink. The other day I was able to get tons of the new series 6 minifigures. I am really excited to share a massive story I have been working on. I'm glad that Lego has finally come out with minataurs. :)

Hear yee hear yee! :)

Regarding Valentines Day that is to fall on us, the Drow of the Historica are organizing Gladiator Games, in tribute to our lovely matron mother, the queen Valsharess!

tarena-01.jpg

The games will be held in the city of Rilauvein, in the Nocturnus area. The Drow will provide safe passage in and out of Nocturnus for all participants.

Choose your champion, equip him(her) for fights in the arena pits and send him (her) here to represent you! All guilds invited!

- one champion per guild member

- requires at least one picture of him/her and a name ;) - post them in this thread -

- everything is allowed - any kind of armor, weapons, magic users, magic items, skills, gun-powder (nobody in the audience will like gun-powder weapons, just so you know:)), any type of race or creature; the arena is with open roof, so height and size also does not matter, and giants and trolls are also welcomed, and creatures with wings!

- there will be a special commentator that will relay us the details of the fights (with all the gore details)

The rules of the fights:

- Everything goes!

- All the teeth lost in the arena are property of the Drow and will be sold to dr Rod for future experiments!

- All the contestants are going to be pared up at 13th February. The paring will be random, and the winners will be chosen random (ever played AD&D games? Well, I will be using dices:)) or some computer program, or we will connect ourselves to some web page and let chance choose "1" or "2" :) in any case, the winner will be chosen totally random, and size and armor won't matter, so, go nuts ;) Do not come in just your bare skin, as much as we Drow applaud to that kind of exhibition, you will be squashed by fans ;)

- We will know the winner by the end of 14th February

- guild leaders can send their champions also, and they will overlook organization and fairness of games (but the Drow can not be controlled, keep that in mind!:))

- The fights will be held only if total of twenty (20) participants sign up - no limits for guilds

- Any guild member can join, even if he/she joined guild after this announcement

The prizes:

- two sets of complete armor and weapons from Drow adamantium - as pictured by our models :) (minifigs are not included, and in any case, would you like to have a couple of Drow lurking trough your castle?:))

tprize-01.jpg

Note: helmet, saber and shield are from brickTW, armor is from our guild member Trash and his brickwarriors

- The winner will be given "The lord of the arena" title to boost in front of the girls (or "the mistress of the arena" if the winner is she, so she can glow in her beauty and strength in front of all insignificant others!:))

- The guild from who the winner is will be awarded a certain amount of gold coins, if guild leaders approve

So come all and come now to the beautiful city of Rilauvein and show your skills! Impress the ladies! Earn honor for your guild! And win the arena!

Note: If you like this kind of game, this could be annual event, always related to the minifigs and little-time-consuming mocs, and with small armor/weapons prizes, to sweeten the pot, and next time we could organize the best entertainment minifig or the weirdest resident of the Historica

Important: this is just a game with intent to give us joy and fun :) do not forget that this are lego minifigs, not real people, and it is all just pretend ;)

My Embassy is constructed and the builders are relieved now that the first of the Avalonians are arriving with much needed supplies and staff.

This is an Embassy in Nocturnus, built into the mountainside near Dr Rod's Watchtower.

Better and more photos will be put up in their own thread tonight.

Looks great!

Maybe a death, black tree on that isle on the left side will be looking good?

I maybe it makes more Darkland style :-)

My champion will be there, for death and glory (or victory and glory).

Is anyone, except from me, in this guild going to sign up for the drow gladiator games?

Don't worry Andonii I'll be there.

Great builds everyone. I can't wait to see all the embassys when they're done.

Nice work everybody in the embassies and the Free builds!

Just wanted to share a work-in-progress- impression as i started the work in my embassy today.

It will take it's place somewhere in Mitgardia and it's design evolves mainly from various concept arts of Skyrim and World of Warcraft.

6738939733_5569e05473_z.jpg

The construction is a bit hard as i wan't to achieve a special look. Also a bit part intensive as you can see on the roof. And I'm also short on modified bricks which will make the construction more difficult - at the end the building will have doubled it's length.

(Please excuse the bad qualitiy. It's just a work in progess shot and i definitely wasn't able to take this one from my building table as you can see from the background.)

Comments and critique are definitely appreciated!

Aaah.. And i definitely will join the arena games! ;)

Best regards!

Oh wow. Looks fantastic so far. Hope you have enough parts to finish it to a standard that you are happy with - Looks like it will be amazing once completed. Thanks for taking the time to post a WIP shot ;)

I love your staircase! It looks really lovely, as do the snow!

@C.J. nice little scene there.

@Rolli Looks like it will be another impressive build! would love to have the cheese slopes to do a roof like that and your stair case is wonderful.

@Doornroosje. nice and lively scene. I know what you mean by it being larger than you initially planned! A free build I am working on (hope to get my Bricklink order tomorrow to finish it) keeps growing!

I love the angles ;) You could treat us with few more images ;)

And make an autonom for the games :)

C.J. - I really like the MOC. Nice use of vegetation

Doorn - Great idea with the small tournament in the small town. It is a nice change from all the big tournaments we've seen, and the building adds more character to the MOC

Rolli - I LOVE the base of this tower. I especially like the curve of the stairs. I can't wait to see this completed.

Andonii - I'm sure we will have 10 or 20 gladiators entered from Avalonia. I will definitely be sending one, but I have to choose carefully who will best represent the Rustling Leaves Clan.
