I buy LEGO sets all the time but it just seems that nothing good comes in any set. I bought the crap out of Kingdoms. I have a ton of crap parts from it. I hate how all you really get from buying sets is figures. LEGO needs to release a castle part pack or something. The LOTR theme dosen't look like it will be offering much in the way of the brick. Just figs and horse. I don't know. I'm just going to have to simplify my idea's for now. I got a moc coming soon with a more simple look. I'm not going to care anymore. I'll get what I need eventually. I'm too competitive. I think that's my main problem.

@ de Gothia Yes, I do. I throw'em at th wall as hard as I can!

Your time will come Mr Beerbeard!

In fact, the wheels have started turning on what could turn out to be the biggest epic castle battle compettition the Internet has ever seen, where all four guilds may have to join forces against someone else  Who knows what will happen, for now, we have a great selection of embassys, so Im sure we can climb up the scoreboard ranks a bit. We are looking to be able to score everyones build I think, so no matter who you are, your build will earn us points. Much fairer than just picking the top 5 I think.

Fellow guildsmen!

The Avalonia Trading Company has established an embassy in the rocky regions of Mitgardia, providing shelter, food and wine for travellers, and a place to negotiate for diplomats of the Avalonia and Mitgardia Guild and the A.T.C.

The final thread will be up tomorrow, but here are some WIP pictures. :sweet:

Not much to show, yet.

Looks very interesting Blackmoor! I look forward to seeing the finished moc properly.

Guildsmen, I have decided to start a small story with a few mocs which is based around searching for Avalonias hidden treasure, so if it's ok, I would like to use some of your sig figs as the characters who go on the quest. Do not fear, I know you will all come back alive

Blackmoor: Wow that moc looks stunning! Just love your style of building!!

Sounds great DC! :classic:

Might this have to do with the "Lands of Classic Castle"? We will see, we will see.

Great Captain Blackmoor!

We did a GREAT job this round. Rolli, MikeyB, Rogueang- you guys had some of my favorite embassies and that doesn't even get us to the build from our fearless leader.

Some really nice embassy from our guild I hope we do well in the judging!

And congrats to Rougeang for winning the Gladiator Games!

Thanks Z and Thanks MikeyB! I agree that we have a lot of solid entries this round. I am glad I finished my embassy when I did, because I have been SO busy with work lately. I have only had time ot look at about 3 entries from the last 3 days. I'm happy to bring some gold coins to Avalonia through the Gladiator Games (and thank goodness for my lucky rolls  )

I look forward to defeating this mysterious opponent on the internet, and I can't wait to hear what the next challenge will be!

Yeah! Random victory for Avalonia!!

I thought Mitgardia had the most solid towers overall, I think we have the most solid embassies. I guess we will see when the dust settles!

Well played everybody on a really excellent round! We have some really great entries, we have really stepped up our game this round, so those that entered should feel proud of your efforts and everyone of our entruies will be scored and earn us points. I have been busy sorting out the main Historica Index, so I havn't had a chance to comment on everyone's embassy yet, but will do so latter on. Excellent work Guildsmen, we have some big announcements coming up soon!

I've had a serious decrease in building time. Also I'm on holiday and can't even start to think about building till I get back, but I hope to be building soon.

DC: Is there going to be a new thread for the voting of the embassies? Or will we do that in this thread? It would be good if we could see all the entries summoned...

And, will there be any points for other mocs during this time as there was in the first round..?

Have to say that we have some very impressive embassies in our guild and it will be hard to vote for one of them! Great work everyone!

All of the Embassies should be listed in the MOC index.

Well, I think the plan is that every entry is going to be scored this time, so there will be no need to pick a top 5. Every entry will be put forward to earn our guild points and then the highest scoring of each guild win win something. I think that works out fairer then just picking 5, plus it's just too hard to pick 5 when there a too many great entries.

On a side note, I would like to clear up a point regarding building. If some of you are feeling boxed in and would like a change of scenery every now and then, you can do this by the way of stories. For example, I am currently working on a story that will take its characters to all the guild lands. The first part starts of in Nocturnus, and gives me the chance to build something over there as its integrated into the story. Obviously you can't go building a city in another land, but if you are portraying Avalonian characters who are on a mission in another land then it gives you the chance to build a scene somewhere else. So if any of you get a good idea for moc that would fit well in another land, then go for it, just as long as its based around a reason why Avalonians are over there.

As well as using some of your character sig-figs, I will also use some of the other guilds characters, depending on what land I am building a scene in.

Once I have the story up and running, if anyone else wants to build some scenes for it then feel free to join in.

The first part shall be ready soon.

OMG-

DC and I are doing the same thing... sort of... and we didn't even discuss it!

My character will also be traveling all of Historica as told through letters back to the Artorious or other Avalonian leaders. I am planning on completing many of our mini-challenges (Princes of the Forest, Executioner, High King of the Elves etc.) in the process. Many of Avalonia's characters will be making appearances. Right now, de Gothia is slated to join my character on his first adventure and Captain Beerbeard on the second!

It is still very early in the process for me, but I already have 4 MOCs planned that I hope to get started on soon.

And I'll be the third in this line... Meeh ;) But seriously: I'm pretty sure, everyone comes up with different, great ideas! (I for example will follow Ninfoodle the Peddlar on his journeys through Historica. You may know him from my Alchemist in Albion). I started building the first chapter just this morning, but sketching ideas since christmas i think.

My "journey" will also tackle the mini-challenges as well as my city, it's definitely time that i take my approach on these..

Best regards!

I was planning something similar for later on (once i have completed most of Gruven) for some builds in mitgardia and Nocturnouse (i have barely any parts that work for kaliphlin). does it ever snow in Avalonia? i found building my embassy in the snow was very fun. my other question is churches - i really want to build one but am wandering if we actually have them in Avalonia as the capital has temples for different gods.

I don't know if it snows here or not- but you can always travel to Mitgardia where we know it does!

You can certainly build a church. We went with that religious choice since it is sort of an ancient "dead" religion and it would be fun to have some power to have whatever supernatural powers we so desired. A don't see why other parts of Avalonian couldn't have a different diety.
