Hope I finish that stuff before May 12. How is everyone else coming with Round 3? I know dG and I think BB are in. Anyone else? Jason? MikeyB? Rolli? CJ? rougeang? Anyone? We need to keep up our steam to stay number one! This is an awesome build! I love the roofwork you done there!

Don't forget guys, because your entries are going into a public vote, we must ask that all your entries for challenge 3 be in one post. It makes it far easier for people to view one post with all the different scenes in, rather then several. Basically if you look at how Tazmaniac compiled his. When the public vote goes ahead, people will only then have one link to click on to view a persons entry. We will have some great mini challenges and prizes going on once challenge 3 is over. This will fill the gab between challenge 4, as I think we may leave it a while before challenge 4 kicks in.

Some minor details left that I´ve Bricklinked. Sounds promising with the mini challenges!! Hope to incoporate them with the story what happened to Quinn in the chamber. News from the adventure of Quinn will reach de Gothia in my Albion street moc. And de Gothia seems to falling in love as well! (Sounds like a TV-show! )

That would be most excellent with ISC, Si, darkdragon, rogueang, BB (I think) and me at Brickworld in June. Maybe I can squeeze in an Albion build before then. Tough question you have here. I broke down the sixth attempt in a row yesterday evening but as far as i know myself that's standard. 11 days till the deadline, too much to get me really motivated. Or skillful. I dont know. Problem is, i have no striking ideas atm. Filled quite a bunch of pages in my notebook but nothing that's great imo. (ZC: Your church is most demotivating, when you're disliking your own ideas..! ;) ) I won't promise but I'm pretty sure that i will come up with something great as i am a guy who gets great under pressure. Let's look for inspiration once more. Glad that we have a national holiday today. Best regards!

Best regards! don't be discouraged Rolli! teh last build I was the same way. seeing some really good embassies getting posted, none of my ideas was working out, and the deadline was quickly approaching. But in the end, I put together something I was pretty happy with and got quite a few positive comments on. Plus every build, even if it isn't a winner, will help our total Avalonian score.

I had the same issue with challenge 2- just couldn't get it going until I had the idea of having the trees "dead" on the Nocturnus side and springing to "life" on the Avalonian side. I kind of worked out the rest from there. I think in this challenge the hard part is working the MOCs into the story with the guardian. For me, I came up with the guardian idea first, then the story, then the MOCs. If that isn't working, change it up, come up with a scene, then a story, then the guardians or the story, then the guardians, then the scene. But in the end, I put together something I was pretty happy with and got quite a few positive comments on. Though I thought Rolli had the most interesting building in the last round and deserved to win, I personally liked yours the best. Yours just had such great atmosphere! I really want to get on to building something for challenge 3, but School, School, School! Building can be a good release, but don't let the guild get in the way of real life! Thanks and it was in there becaue we were discussing the merits of good lighting. I was showing a WIP pic taken under interior lighting in my house at night versus a photo take outside in the shade with "natural lighting". That shoule be a tip for ALL of us. Lighting is 3/4 the battle. well I will have to take your word on it. I bought one of the new knight and a couple others as well. I opened the packaging in my car when i got outside the store to make sure I had picked the right one but didn't build it and left it in the bag. When I got home and built it, the shield was gone! it must have fallen out somehow and I made a couple stops before getting home so it could have fallen out of my car somewhere. bummed but at least they seem like they will be pretty plentiful to find. Yeah, seems like there are quite a few in the boxes. The armor is pretty good and the swords look like the LotR swords, so you can load up on those before LotR comes out.

Anxiously awaiting your official posting of it! @Derfel: I was already planning on adding links to the previous chapters of my story to my final entry thread. Is that okay, or should I just re-post them all in the same thread? If it comes to it, I'd settle on just the final chapter being considered my entry into the challenge.

The armor is pretty good and the swords look like the LotR swords, so you can load up on those before LotR comes out. They also had them in the series 6 highlander, but they do look heaps cooler in dark silver

Anyone? We need to keep up our steam to stay number one! I built like crazy on the 14th, thinking the 15th was the deadline. Nothing like a last minute scramble to get the MOC going I ended up rebuilding the scene, and I just finished another scene tonight. I had a very hard time coming up with a concept for this one, but it's sort of fallen in to place. I've thrown out my waterfall scene as I see that many folks are planning one. I'm already anticipating this to be my least favorite challenge entry, but I won't be ashamed of it at least. We will have some great mini challenges and prizes going on once challenge 3 is over. This will fill the gab between challenge 4, as I think we may leave it a while before challenge 4 kicks in. I agree with Z - this will be very helpful as I have to start my Brickworld build as soon as I finish Challenge 3. I look forward to hearing about the mini-challenges too.

ZCerberus Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 When DC and I were discussing Albion layouts, we came up with some things a city would need, but we tried to leave it as open as possible so ideas could flow. We started out hot, but things have cooled a little. I am excited for dG's city block and I hope to contribute a few builds soon as well. Developing your own lands can be fun, especially since there are no constraints and you can make whatever you want, but don't forget to contribute to the capital if you haven't done so already! I agree with Z - this will be very helpful as I have to start my Brickworld build as soon as I finish Challenge 3. I look forward to hearing about the mini-challenges too. I think I have you penciled in for 64 x 64... does that sound right? Let me know ASAP if things change. Also, can you post a pic of your sigfig (Varis?) in his full armor? Yours in one of the sigfigs I have not completed. In case anyone is curious, I am going to be including many of the Avalonian sigfigs in the Albion Gatehouse extension MOC I hope to finish for BW. Also, if it seems more appropriate to what your building, swap out the face with a regular 'angry guy with black eyebrows' one.
