well back after a few days of travel. Hit Downtown Disney was hoping to get the new chess set but they hadn't received it yet. I picked up a few PaB cups (nothing too special) and the LotR Orc Forge.

Z great scene you have going there. Can't wait to see everything together and the whole GoH table!

Meph. great additions to your Barracks.

De Gothia. I have become quite fond of these little vignette type scenes and this one is great! Love the use of the Brick brick!

I am adding a few details to my Hamlet of Circardia Gatehouse. Its been raining for the last couple days and with it being over 90 bricks long (mostly a long bridge) and combine with the fact I don't think I have a back drop big enough to put behind the MOC for photos, hopefully I can have it up by Thursday (when shotly after I am sure Z designs will be dominating this forum ;) )

We have bees as well! Call the 'keeper a farmer, call him tradesman, but dont forget him on the battle field :)

Charging with bears on the battlefield and loading catapults with hives, he helps make Avalonia a land not to be trifled with... and sweeter in the times of peace.

Honey!

That looks great Siercon and Coral! Nice usage of parts too, like the window shutter as honeycomb, very creative!

Also the bear is a nice touch, and I like the scale you've used! It took a time before I noticed the use of Hagrid's 'body'.

Great work here.

Challenge 3 Winners!

After a long and glorious round, Challenge 3 came to a close with 33 amazing entrees from all guilds! Round 3 set the challenge level quite high, with interior builds, custom creatures, multiple scenes and story writing. We the guild leaders are very proud of the work done by our respective guilds, and want to thank all who participated in the challenge. There were only strong builders in this round of competition, and each one presented a unique, well-illustrated, well-told tale of adventures, treacherous monsters and hidden treasures!

After a grueling voting process that took almost a month, we have judged and decided on winners from all 4 guilds. You the voters decided which build was overall most popular, and we the Guild Leaders decided on which got the most points based on creativity, following instructions, story, and presentation. Here we present the winners of Challenge 3:

1) First of all, the results of the popularity challenge:

By a landslide popular vote, Cara has won herself a Kingdoms Joust set for her air temple MOC and story! Congratulations Cara, your build and story truly deserve the recognition your fellow AFOL's have given them!

They have each won themselves an Exclusive Eurobricks Mountain Orc Minifigure! These figures were commissioned by us for winners of current and past rounds and feature custom head designs by EB's own Brickthing, printed in professional quality by our new friends at Citizen Brick, USA! The weapons and Armor are courtesy of EB member Thrash and his company Brick Warriors, USA!

I pledge my allegiance to Avalonia!

I have been watching from afar and have noticed the creativity of all the guilds. Now I believe it is due time for me to join the ever-growing ranks of Avalonia.

My MOC's won't be based on a core story to begin, but I plan to have one soon. Meaning I will not have a true Sig-fig prepared at the start.

I hope to be a very supportive member to the guild.

Congratulations to the winners of challenge 3 by the way.

Congratulations to Z.

Avalonia is still on top, but we can't rest in our labor, the other guilds are nearing by.

Challenge 4 is tomorrow. :excited:

Congratulations to winners, yours were truly awesome builds! I hope to participate in the new challenge. The prelude looks really wonderful and those elementals are amazing!

Here's my character biography:

Name: Mattheus

Rank: Wizard of the West

Age: 22

Weapon of Choice: Wand, sword and shield

6338009862_8888aa52bc.jpg

History:

Born as a descendant of the Druids, Mattheus is one of the few wizards in Avalonia. He lost his parents at a young age under mystical circumstances. His younger sister disappeared soon after the death of their parents. Some say that's one of the reasons Mattheus wanders the land of Avalonia, in search of his sister. Another reason is because as a wizard, he is much needed all over Avalonia. Mattheus has fought many battles, making him appreciated by the warlords but until this day he has always refused to be in charge of a land of his own. Mattheus is at one with nature and its animal inhabitants, something well appreciated by the Elves. Because of his good connections with the Elves, he often acts as a messenger between them and the Guild of Avalonia.

Challenge IV :" Elemental Mayhem"

great-fire-painting-b.jpg

gallery_13585_168_112330.jpg

Rules:

• Must be an action scene that shows elemental destruction including an elemental monster of your own design.

• It must be a single scene (not a story/narrative multi-scene build. Think of it as a still-frame of a large scene of devastation)

• You may choose any elemental not just the one that spawned from your own Guild's element.

• Size is limited to 48X48, with reasonable overhang.

• In the background of your build you must include a micro-scale landscape, be it mountains, forests, oceans, cities or any other form of terrain.

Points will be awarded based on originality, layout, and building skill. As always photography is key in this round, so each entree is expected to be photographed at a professional level with plain backdrop of any color. (We challenge the skill level of our builders more with each challenge, therefore in this round entrees that are poorly photographed and in bad locations will be disqualified. No furniture, pets or random objects in the background please)

The deadline for this challenge is Sunday, August 5th 2012

We look forward to what you the builders can come up with for this challenging round, and hope that you have fun with it!

-Sincerely,

The Guild Leaders

Excellent! I already have some ideas for this one and glad we have a few weeks for this as I have plenty going on!

Is the brick built background suppose to be within the 48x48 or could you lay it outside?

This is going to be tons of fun! My problem is the monster though, but it is a challenge so I´m up for it! :classic:

Great challenge! Excellent presentation and information, it's a good start for inspiration. July will be pretty busy, but I'll see if I can squeeze in some LEGO time. First off: thinking of a good idea.

Good question! It can be outside as long as it doesn't constitute a big MOC on its own. A few studs worth is OK, but nothing more than that, or otherwise one could create an entire valley, or mountainous panorama. This is meant to be something more akin to background, not intense micro-scale MOCing. :sweet:

I am feeling excitement and a little fear at the same time for this challenge.

It will surely prove to be interesting.

Good, I was a little confused about that part, but this clears it up
