bootz Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 update: Guess what is going to be built in that lot I know, I know, it's not a modular. This is how I've built the Legoland Hotel for almost a decade, and I needed more residences in my town. Simple, but effective. And my mods to GE. That is meant to be a Wild West playset, hence the Indian. And I finally found a use for Spongebob, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Nice work 'bootz', hotel needs some interior work eh ? Brick On Build On 'bootz' ! Quote
bootz Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Nice work 'bootz', hotel needs some interior work eh ? Brick On Build On 'bootz' ! Yeah, beds for the rooms and I was thinking a small cafe on the first floor. Quote
Vindicare Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Looking good! Town Hall looks good there. Everything is coming together nicely. Quote
Comwiz Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Looking great. Loved the "progression" in your photos. Giving me a lot of ideas for my future layout. Still new, fire brigade and moc bricks in the mail Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Looking good 'bootz', nice to see Marvel and DC Comics sharing the super hero duties ! Very busy place indeed, keep going, keep improving and Brick On 'bootz' ! Quote
kzv Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Nice layout... the Town Hall is looking nice with the other modulars! Quote
wazza98 Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I've just had the fortune to come across this thread, and I must say this is absolutely, Brilliant! Well done, keep it up! Quote
Vindicare Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Nice looking town. It's makes me wish LEGO would make small car wheels/tires again...those ones they use today are way too big. Bolt dealership is looking good, and busy! The fire truck and grey car are nice builds, as well. It's nice to see Batman and (retro)Spidey working together. You have some odd interactions going on...a boxer fighting with a Aquashark...an old west shoot out?! Quote
bootz Posted May 15, 2012 Author Posted May 15, 2012 @ LT thanks, I had Batman on the roof and then I came across my Spidey so I figured I would have them both lecture the Town Hall kids on the importance of kicking culpable butt. @ kvz thank you, I had originally wanted the Town Hall next to the GE, but then it blocks the windows of GE. @ wazza98 well shucks, thank you. I still see plenty of room for improvement. I would really like to move to a larger table and have Bolt next to the official modulars. @ Legocrazy81 me too! The design of TLG's new cars are great, but they are the size of a small SUV compared to classic 4 wides. I personally don't see the need for such bulk. Classic 4 wide still offers the opportunity for plenty of details, as I think I have shown. As for the boxer, my director minifig is filming a new action movie. The western shoot out is a reenactment, as this was once a frontier town in the wild west. @ vriverajr3 thank you, looking forward to seeing yours. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 Great work bootz! Your town is coming along wonderfully. It's gone over some great improvements over the months. I must say you have the same idea about street parking in front of modulars. I will opt for that instead of repositioning my modulars, sharing space on road plates, as well as, it's own plates Quote
bootz Posted May 15, 2012 Author Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) Thank you! I have far too many cars to not have street parking like this. Edited May 15, 2012 by bootz Quote
wazza98 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 @ bootz, thats okay! It is a really good town! And with your ideas, you never know until you try, so it might be worth moving it to see how it looks, and maybe posting a picture on here to see what other members think? Keep up the good work anyway! Quote
bootz Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Layouts ^ simple but effective ^ a modular house my girlfriend is working on There's never a dull day in Legoredo... Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Nice progress on your city 'bootz'.....keep going but you better be careful....alien activity around these parts ! Brick On ! Quote
LegofreakKO345 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I really like your town '' bootz''. It's much better than mine. My favorite part is the Bolt dealership and the Bolt cars ( I'm really a car fan). Can't wait for more updates! Quote
bootz Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) Layout The new park area I've been waiting on my PAB order for a month, and it finally came yesterday and I could finally put together my new trees. On display in the Grand Emporium, a mannequin sporting a Carmelo Anthony Knicks jersey Batman fighting Catwoman and Man Bat Spiderman doing spidey things The yellow truck is a hint at the future of my layout Edited November 26, 2012 by Phred Quote
Vindicare Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Awesome! This is going in a great direction. I like the Christmas wreath on the GE. The remade 'Legoredo Hotel' is neat. BOLT is looking better than ever. Trees are looking good too. I'm still looking for a simple tree design to make in mass, yours are cool. Quote
Purpearljellyblob Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 I will be definitely be back for more updates on your town! I like the way you create your "construction site" with yellow trucks and vehicles ready to fence up the area and do some bricking! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Great update 'bootz'......and they have the Christmas decorations up.......aw, isn't that nice ? I notice a brown brick house not finished yet......waiting on more bricks eh ? Keep up the great work and Brick On 'bootz' ! Quote
bootz Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the comments everyone. The tree is essentially TLG's design from Fire Brigade, just differing in size and color. I got a PAB bag of tree parts today for Christmas. The brown house my girlfriend is building. I'm not allowed to work on it and she has been busy with school so it's been sitting unfinished. I worked on the sidewalk and front yard though. Edited December 26, 2012 by bootz Quote
