And it appears my backups have dissapeared! Gotta find me that memory stick. But if anyone else would like to take the updating from me, that would be fine... Quote
PrincessAriana Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 (edited) Hey, I was inspired by all the beautiful decals in this thread, so I decided to sit down and create a German Uhlan uniform. I have Corel Draw so it makes it a tad easier to create decals. Still was a tad hard to create it but I think it came out nicely. Here it is: German Uhlan Link Edited January 19, 2009 by PrincessAriana Quote

PrincessAriana Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 I have more where that came from. I have a lot of reference pictures saved and I can't wait to make the next one. Will have another one up in a few days when I have time to sit down and make. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted July 9, 2008 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted July 9, 2008 I've been fixing all the broken links with the backups I had from the past. More than 60 were broken. Now there are still 2 that don't work anymore (marked with MISSING). I'm hoping that Mr. Tiber or Mosana have backups of those on their PC's so we can restore them. I have more where that came from. I have a lot of reference pictures saved and I can't wait to make the next one. Will have another one up in a few days when I have time to sit down and make. Can you make them a bit bigger so they are more like the other torso-sizes in this library? Quote
PrincessAriana Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 (edited) Okay let me try. Hopefully I can make it up quick. P.S. Flickr is loading right now so I'll have to wait off to upload the decal. Alright got it uploaded. If anybody needs the printable version just email me. Edited January 19, 2009 by PrincessAriana Quote

Could you somehow upload the printable version and provide a link? That's what we would need for adding that fantastic torso of yours to this library Quote

LuxorV Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Hi all Pirate fans, I'm now in charge of the Great Pirate Torso Library, and I just made an update with all the Pirate-related decals you posted in this thread (at least, I hope I did not miss any ). Moreover, as you probably know, Bonaparte already fixed all the broken links (well, we still have 2 missing decals, but we're working on it ). Now, to bring the Library really up-to-date with all the Pirate stuff of this last year, I need your help! Since many decal threads have been created both here in the Minifig Customization Workshop and in the Pirate Forum, I need you Authors to post here, or even better PM me, the links to your creations. Once I have them all (ok, that's virtually impossible ), say in a couple of weeks from today, I'll make a new update. After that, please post your new creations here, or send me a PM with a link to them (if you prefer to post in the Pirate Forum). Future updates will be made monthly (or when I have a reasonable number of decals to add ). I hope I said all that needed be said . Thanks for your help LuxorV Quote

Can you make them a bit bigger so they are more like the other torso-sizes in this library? I did a lot of customs based on mosana's design. Additionally there were some which had tw sides (front and back) on one image. This I split for own purpose. Maybe it's available on my brickshelf gallery (I changed the names therefore I can't check if's there) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=289972 Additionally a lot of designs shown on this link are not present in the library. (I first had another style but changed later on to mosana's style after ha had given the paint tutorial) Shall I check the changed images and give an overview here. PrincessAriana Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 (edited) Alright here is my second decal: a 11th Napoleonic Hussar. I happened upon a site with all regiments of Napoleon's Hussars and decided to make this one. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make the curly doodads on the uniform so I left them out. Hope you all like: Link Alright update time. Here is my Polish Lancer Trumpeter. I still have to work on the arm designs, but it will have to wait until after I get back home. Here is the jacket design: Link Edited January 19, 2009 by PrincessAriana Quote

LuxorV Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Thanks for your contributions, PrincessAriana I'm going to update the Library at the end of this week (probably Friday), so, if anybody has anithing to add, please post it here before Friday. Thanks LuxorV Quote
PrincessAriana Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Your welcome. It's hard to find good back pictures of the soldiers and such and that's what takes up most of my time. I'll have another one up sometime in the next few days. Quote
JopieK Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 very nice torsos here. Too bad most of them are not vectorized :) at the moment I can't use my printing press but I expect to get some new parts for that thing coming week (and my device can more or less only handle vectorized files so I need to vectorize them myself if I want to print something). Quote
PrincessAriana Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 Mines are vectorized. I use Corel Draw 12 to make the initial template and then I have to export as JPEGs for viewing online. If you really want to use the decals just PM the creator. I'm sure they'll be able to vectorize their designs for you. Quote
QuartermasterRobert Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Hey, everyone. I got a simple torso recolor here, but I made it because I found the maiden torsos without belts to be too damn narrow waisted for my tastes. So here's a wench with some meat on the bones, lol. Quote
LuxorV Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Thanks, QuartermasterRobert I'll make sure to add this to the Library with the next update LuxorV Quote
