Then why did you say the case was strong in the first place? Just because a case is stronger than all the other cases against current suspects doesn't make it a strong case. If I have three apples, and two are rotten and one is all soft and bruised, the soft, bruised apple is better than the two rotten ones, but it's still not a good apple.

But when you're forced to eat an apple, which one would you choose?

Ah, I love mind games.

I'm just saying that compared to everyone else being voted for, he is most likely to be the suspect. Compared to the amount of evidence we have (which is none) it is a terrible case. But like I said before, it is a blind vote, and someone has to go. And he is the top suspect. Perhaps the case isn't that strong, but still, I'll maintain my vote.

Why did you call it 'very strong' then? Very strong is an investigation result, not a Day 1 bandwagon. :sceptic:

That having been said, I no longer feel comfortable voting for Nygma, so I will

Unvote: The Riddler (sok117)

Looking over the day the Riddler looks like the best choice to kill. I am going to keep an eye on the Killer croc though.

Vote: The Riddler (sok117)

And you too! All this senseless bandwagoning is driving me insane. :hmpf:

But when you're forced to eat an apple, which one would you choose?

Ah, I love mind games.

If you have to eat one of the apples, you would of course choose the soft and bruised one, but you wouldn't pick it up and say, "Wow, this looks delicious!", would you?

But when you're forced to eat an apple, which one would you choose?

Ah, I love mind games.

I would prefer a crisp apple, which, in this case, would be akin to an actually strong case, which at this point doesn't exist.

If I had to eat one, I would eat the soft, bruised apple (the better apple, and, in fact, I already have - I voted for the same person you did), but that doesn't make the soft bruised apple better than the nonexistent crisp apple.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against your vote itself. What I'm saying is that you can't really call the case against The Riddler 'strong'.

So you can't simply admit you've worded your sentence poorly?

I almost believe you're an agent fearing such a mistake would get you bad publicity. Yes, it was evident to me you didn't think much about your vote, but yet you act like it was an aphorism. Right now, to me, you're more suspect than the Riddler.

This is probably one of the most insane Day ones ever! Now I know most of us ARE insane, but that isn't my point

Nigma still has my vote, I don't enjoy flip-flopping just because other people are suspicious otherwise this day could go on forever.

But Hush is acting odd, so is Croc, and finally Ra's al Ghul graces us with his presence just to vote and not say anything!! :hmpf:

They are either all dumb scum or just lazy townies. :hmpf_bad: I'm not sure what else to say or contribute, day one is always lame; this is still a blind-vote imo. :sadnew:

Although I should add, if there is hard evidence I may change my vote from Nigma to someone else.

But alas at this moment in time, there is none.

So you find this day lame? This must be the most interesting day one ever. And the vote is no completely blind vote, I see where the so-called evidence" is coming from, although I don't find it's enough to convict somebody and not even the "strongest" case we have. Of course, with all those sheeps around it's nearly a blind vote. Although sometimes I think we'd be better off with a random vote, seeing as in every example I read about in the paper about similar situation, a member of the majority was voted out, except for two times, as in one example a werewolf was killed, who didn't have friends to help him, and in another example there were only one townie to start with. So basically, we can say, that there almost never is a real scum kill on day one and I don't think this day will be an exception.

Although I should add, if there is hard evidence I may change my vote from Nigma to someone else.

And how are we supposed to gather hard evidence? You might not have noticed, but it's day one and we cannot find evidence. So this is only another way to say you sure as hell won't change your vote. :hmpf:

Day 1 - Addendum

Those insanes drive me mad, I tell you. Doesn't sound good You may wonder, why I, Dr. Jonathan Crane - and please, dear reader, I seriously prefer Scarecrow - don't like being with psychotics. Shouldn't an exceptionally gifted psychologist as the Scarecrow love the present of the instably minded, the lunatic, the insane? Might need to find better term for insane The answer is: No. I hated Arkham. They forbade me to treat patients the way I wanted, the more effective way, and those psychotics make me go mad (again, this is just a joke. I enjoy great sanity, even though those idiots at Arkham don't see that). The may seem interesting at the beginning, but you run a few experiments on them, and you see how boring the really are, and after a while, they get annoying. With a bit of fear gas, even with my very first formula, it only takes days to completely analyze them. And without it, it's just stressful. Nerve-racking. Just like this whole situation.

Lame is probably a poor choice of words on my part, I just mean that on day one the chance of getting a scum and not losing our own is slim, so I don't enjoy it too much.

After night one seeing how people react to night kills (if any) personally helps me decide who may or not be scum. :classic:

If someone comes clean and repents their evil ways  Or if someone has a day action that could reveal a nugget of useful info.

Going back to the apple thing, both the soft, bruised apples and the rotten apples are bad apples. Even though the soft, bruised one is better than the rotten ones, it's still bad and not good like the crisp apple. This may be a better Day 1 that is normally seen in these situations, but that doesn't necessarily make it a good Day. The quality of the Day can be considered subjective - beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all. Maybe he thinks all Day 1s are lame, so even though this is a better Day 1 than normal, it's still a lame Day. And keep in mind that your definition of 'lame' may be different that his. Maybe you think any Day that isn't interesting is lame, and maybe he thinks that any Day in which we don't get a scum result from a Cop is lame.

Not that I agree with him, because I honestly didn't expect such a busy Day 1 with so many accusations and votes being thrown around, which in my mind makes Today quite un-lame, just saying...

Quiet so Black Mask, your apple metaphor has struck a cord with me.

I personally just don't enjoy Day 1  Later on everything gets much more exciting! :sweet:

Good grief. I don't sign on for about 15 hours, and find about 150 posts to go through. I have a lot of catching up to do...

That's not a bad idea, Creep. A temporary solution, I suppose. Vote: Man-Bat (Sirius Black) Nothing personal...in fact, you remind me of my Bat.

No offense taken. I haven't been very active in posting today  .

From what I've seen after reading through 150 posts in the last ten minutes, today's vote against the riddler is based on his questions of Baby Doll. While I find his actions suspicious, the bandwagon against him seems too overwhelming for me to feel comfortable with this vote. Unless the informants just gave up on the vote today as a lost cause, it seems as though one of them, at some point, would have tried to bring up an alternate target, or defended him.

Ra's, Hush, Mad Hatter, all of you decided to hop on the bandwagon after the conviction was essentially guaranteed, which to some extent, I find suspect. Hush, I know your very "sheepish" statement has already been discussed by others among us, but you've contradicted yourself several times throughout the day, and then you avoided the questions presented to you regarding your statement. You may just be making some foolish mistakes in your statements, but I find you highly suspicious.

Vote Hush (Mrlegoninja)

Whilst I do agree it's unhelpful, you can hardly fault them just for hoping on a bandwagon.

Yeah! Votin' is mandatory, an' dey gotta place dat vote somewheres.

Nigma still has my vote, I don't enjoy flip-flopping just because other people are suspicious otherwise this day could go on forever.

No, the day has a finite limit, which Joker has explained doesn't require a majority vote. So all your pussyfooting is just BS in my opinion. You're definitely on my Agents list. Let's all sing it together, scum or dumb... scum or dumb...

The Riddler does seem to be the one who's going to get it tonight, but I think, since we've been told top vote gets it, that people should feel free to break with the herd. Vote for who deserves it, not the one with the most votes. Catwoman is still the one who's been the most blatantly scummy in thread, in my opinion, but my day one scumdar isn't so reliable.

I concur. This Day 1 has been quite exciting (albeit a bit hectic).

My scumdar pretty unreliable every day. However, I agree with you about Catwoman. My vote has to go somewhere, so I think I'll take your suggestion and vote for who I think deserves it.

Vote: Catwoman (CallMePieOrDie)

I too will Vote: Catwoman (CallMePieOrDie)

pretty_flower-342.jpgHopping on the Riddler bandwagon just is too easy.

The vote for catwoman is for all the reasons stated above by the creeper.

Your posts were exactly what I was looking for day one. Helpful-ish without saying anything in particular. Then, when the vote comes around, you 'aren't convinced' so if Riddler turns up town, you have that in your pocket for later (ie. "I didn't bandwagon him."). It could just be a coincidence, but I think you're just broadcasting your behavior too clearly (and I've been playing scum too much recently  ). I think you're scum.

Unvote: The Riddler (sok117)

Vote: Catwoman (CallMePieOrDie)

What does it say when the hairy guy with the weird laugh is the most lucid person here?

PS: If the tides turn and Catwoman is convicted, can we all agree to keep Creeper away from the pool cues?

She then says I asked her four times (false) and that even after she said she wouldn't answer I apparently kept pestering her (also false)

ONE:

May I ask Babydoll, does this identity confirmation have anything to do with your skill or action? Assuming there all unique, it seems logical that her identity is related to her ability.

TWO:

And furthermore, I'd like to ask Babydoll if her allegiance being reveled tomorrow has anything to do with her skill or ability?

THREE:

Again I'd like to ask Babydoll if her faction being reveled has anything to do with her skill/ability, heres hoping she reads this!

FOUR:

I'm still very interested to see what Babydoll has to say on the matters.

The Riddler gives us clever riddles and apparently he also is an expert in mathematics. We should probably give him a new monicker:

You-are-so-dumb-You-are-really-dumb-Fo-real.jpg(Ok this one is just a joke, so don't take it seriously, just adding to the FUN)

Wow, all you folks must be snoozing! Have you decided that the Riddler is guilty without a shadow of a doubt?

Here's a riddle for you folks! What's big, green, and is red all over?

The Riddler, in a few hours

The day isn't over yet, though. We can still point fingers at those people who think the Riddler was a clear cut case. Hush, your explanations were particularly silly

Wow, and you think I'm dumb? Only three of those are questions! Notice how on all three I say "I would like to ask" and on your fouth point I'm just stating to egg-head I believe that I'm interested in knowing. You really need to read what I'm saying more clearly, then I might not have this god-awful bandwagon against me, and you guys could actually still have a useful criminal on your side.

Anyways, it's nice to see that some of you guys are actually taking an active role instead of sitting around with a thumb up your megablocks and waiting for someone to throw a stone then just bandwagon off of that, but hey, if thats how you guys plan to survive, don't let me stop you.

Lets try this differently so maybe passive players will see it

The questions I ask would not have given me any additional information, no abilities are passive as stated in the rules, that means the innocent confirmation is Babydolls ability, I did not know there were passive abilities, so I asked because I was curious, therefore I asked something that should have been common knowledge.

It seems as though a few people are still hopeful for the town, I hope some of you people voting for me our able to see how slim the case is against me, I can guarantee you will convict a criminal and you will be sorry.

you know what? Screw it, theres no way we can turn around this bandwagon yet. May as well just come clean.

I was the damn investigator, good luck trying to solve this without me  hahahaha, but I guess thats just my luck, I try to be active and ask questions and I get myself killed, I'm glad some of you are able to see a weak case when its there and aren't so narrow-minded. Your the only hope for this operation. I guess if you want to survive in this place you have to sit on your megablocks, say one thing, then bandwagon! Well good luck to you all, when I'm dead, there are gonna be a lot of questions, and no one with the answers

Can't say that's a new one, but I'd be a fool if I didn't reconsider the case against you in light of your claim, considering the implications lynching you could have if you're telling the truth. As we can unvote as many times as we want, I Unvote: The Riddler (sok117).

And Baby Doll, while I think you present a good argument against The Riddler, calling him dumb at this point is unnecessary in my opinion. Can't we at least try to do this without insulting each other?

Unfortunately, some of us are literally dumb :look: Let's not hold that against Babydoll, that she recognizes the fact. Though showing tact is going to be a challenge to all of the non-stupid among us :sweet:

In light of the Riddler's role claim, I think it best to unvote him. I'd like to shift the conviction to Catwoman, but the already penalized Killer Croc would be a fair alternative. Unfortunately, of all the deadly sins these criminals embody, sloth seems to be at the top of the list, and I doubt you all will even read this before the day ends.

But, if you do read this, I urge you to respect The Riddler's role claim and change your vote, so this criminal convention we have going on here looks less stupid than we otherwise might. Got it? Wake up!
