Why would he care whether you vote for him or not? At this point, your vote changes little, if anything, where the amounts of votes are concerned. He's just pointing out that all you've done is follow someone else's reasoning, and that you cast what is/was essentially at this/that time a useless vote against Croc.

Why couldn't he have lied? He could just be trying to save his skin for one Day. Maybe he's a scum or a neutral that has a lethal Night Action, and he wants to be able to use it once.
