Scubacarrot Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 "Come at me, Croc!" Guts prepares for yet another attack from the front row.
Lordofdragonss Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) "Thanks humen, this could be my last fight if not you!"- said Gorg with a smile, mopping the saliva from his face , but the he quickly focused on creature his friends fighting and was ready to poke a crocodile from front row. Edited December 12, 2011 by Lordofdragonss
Bioniclover Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Knifk quickly slashes at the crocodile's nose, distracting it as Nerwen and Guts charge up to it, freeing Gorg, and strike it as they flee. Bellowing in pain, the huge reptile flails wildly with its sharp claws. Knifk dove out of the way, then rolled in front of Sarick and Dak, lifting his shield and bracing himself as the croc smashed into it. luckily, the shield held firm. Flashing Sarick and Dak a thumbs-up, he lowered the slightly dented Mockthril Sield, raised his katana, and attacked the crocodile from the front row.

Rumble Strike Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 Results of Round Three of the Giant Crocodile battle Knifk vs Giant Crocodile = Damage Guts vs Giant Crocodile = Damage Gorg vs Giant Crocodile = Hit Nerwen vs Giant Crocodile = Critical Hit Dak vs Giant Crocodile = Miss >Sarick vs Giant Crocodile = Special Damage (Second roll to determine which = Tail Whip) The party continue to battle the behemoth in front of them, although this time they don't have Knifk's shield protecting them. Knifk starts the assault once more, approaching with his katana raised. The crocodile is having none of it however, snapping his jaws at the Orc Knight, although his shield protects him from most of the blow (1 damage). Guts incredible streak with a blade comes to an end; as he aims at the lumbering beast with his cutlass, he takes a vicious swipe of the croc's claws across his midriff (5 damage). Gorg, still annoyed at being a crocodile chew toy, plunges his spear into the scaly behemoth's side (9 damage). Nerwen manages to get a very clean hit on the lizard with her hammer (12 damage) Dak's wretched luck with a blade continues as he swings and misses. He's definitely channelling the luck of noted Cleric Maurice Ratibor! Sarick once again tries to use his frost magic, and once again the crocodile lurches terrifyingly towards him. Instead of scooping the snakeman up in his jaws like it did to Gorg, the huge creature delivers a bone-crushing blow with its muscular tail. The battle continues! Xarrzan Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Sarick charged his energy. He was going to blast the crocodile in the face and try to blind it. "Hrm...his tail is moving at me rather quickly. I have a tail, why didn't I remember to watch out for his tail..."
Darth Nihilus Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Dak, once again, flawlessly jumps, spins, and-- hits the wall, making a sickening crunch. He then jumps up, and charges for the fourth time, stabbing at the crocodile's foot with his knife.
Bioniclover Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Knifk grimaces as the overgrown lizard slashed his thigh with a claw, but his heavy plate armor meant he sustained only a long, shallow scratch. Purplish blood leaked from the wound. Roaring in defiance, the Orc raised his greatsword once again and charged the croc from the front row.

Battle order Nerwen Knifk Guts Gorg Dak Sarick Yes, the bone "stuns" the enemy for one turn, not for the whole round. It's not a very useful item, but it's not supposed to be, either. Party Leader, are you still happy with the actions and order now that the bone description has been confirmed by Sandy as seen above? Also, you can list Sarick in the battle order all you like, he's still stunned

Rumble Strike Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 Results of Round Four of the Giant Crocodile battle Nerwen throws bone Guts vs Giant Crocodile = Damage Knifk vs Giant Crocodile = Critical Hit Gorg vs Giant Crocodile = Hit Dak vs Giant Crocodile = Shield (Mug) The battle dragged on. Previously the party had dispatched their enemies with relative ease, so this longer, more drawn out fight was testing their strength, stamina and resourcefulness to the maximum. The sight of the slender Elven cleric striding fearlessly towards the gigantic crocodile, only to distract it like a dog by throwing the femur of one of the skeletons the party had beaten previously, will live long in the memory. Her task accomplished, she motioned for Guts, promoted to heavy hitter for this turn, to do his worst. The crocodile spots his attack but is preoccupied by the bone, so his snarling jaws are almost an afterthought and Guts takes no damage. Knifk sees an opportunity, and strikes at the beast's hindlegs, forcefully driving his Mockthril greatsword into the hide (13 damage). Gorg has been on fire since his encounter with the inside of the croc's mouth, getting another solid poke at the lizard (8 damage). Dak's luck turns as he finally connects with the croc in this battle, he stabs his poisoned knife into the side of the croc (17 damage). When he pulls the knife free, 17 gold coins fall out. Strange. The poison in the wound starts pulsing round the croc's body (1 damage). The battle continues! Scubacarrot Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Guts, after performing yet another failed attack, looks down and sees blood dripping through his shirt, the beast had wounded him previously, it would seem, With one hand covering his stomach to stop most of the bleeding, and a determined look in his tired eyes, Guts runs towards the big monster, once more raising his Cutlass, the rogue attacked from the front row.
Bioniclover Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 (edited) As Nerwen and Guts distract the beast, Knifk let's out a savage war cry and thrusts his katana deep into the beast's leg, then rips it loose and strikes at the crocodile from the front row once more. Let us keep going and take this monster down. "Hrm, I was sensing your ether level not your health level. I've got too much pent up magical energy. It'sss all I can think about." Sarick turns back to the Crocodile. "I shall attack the Giant Crocodile from the back row with my frost magic!"
Chromeknight Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Nerwen checks Gorg to see if he's still ok. Come on Gorg, hit the crocodile. From the front row. (Gorg, croc, front row, if he doesn't post in the next 7 or so hours.)

Although bleeding profusely from many wounds, the crocodile's tenacity and focus meant it was still a challenging foe to the party. Knifk runs at the beast once more, and receives a massive, spiny tail in the face for his trouble. Seeing his Orc comrade crumple in a stunned heap obviously puts off Gorg, who misses with his spear poke. The two Rogues are both successful with thier hits, causing coins to shower everywhere along with spurts of blood (-17 damage each, 17 gold each). Sarick's frost magics finally kick in, covering the huge creature in a sheet of ice (-15 damage). Nerwen takes full advantage of the sudden lack of mobility afflicting the croc, putting all her strength into a fearsome hammer blow on top of its head (-12 damage) The poison still runs rampant inside the croc's body (1 damage). Darth Nihilus Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 "Yahahaha! Die, foul beast!" Dak pockets this gold too, wondering how so much gold had been picked up by the croc in the mine. Then, he charges, screaming a fearsome battle cry, and stabs the croc in the eye from the front row.
