LEGOman273 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I personally prefer LEGO's vampiress, Toph's scares me I personally prefer LEGO's vampiress, Toph's scares me I personally prefer LEGO's vampiress, Toph's scares me Does Toph's vampiress scare you? Aanchir Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Does Toph's vampiress scare you? Seriously, though; how did you post this three times? And misspell Toth's name each time? I agree, though, I prefer the set's, even if the inconsistency with Dracula himself is a but unfortunate. I could chalk this up to her being one of Dracula's vampire slaves rather than a full-fledged vampire herself. It would not be the first work I've seen to make that distinction, giving Dracula special status among the vampires he has created. Quote
Brickity Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I think toth's design suits more like the daughter. Straight hair, gothic dress.. and that "wine" glass.. she definitely fits as the rebel daughter Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Seriously, though; how did you post this three times? I have no idea, sorry I probably forgot that I hit "reply" already, twice Hope it doesn't happen again Quote
Holmes Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I think it's the flash of taking the pictures. Happens to me all the time when I try to take pictures of the LEGO - the colors just aren't captured quite right. Can't say anything about the designs, look fine to me, but any discoloration I'm attributing to the pictures. Yeah you're probably right, the quality of the minifigs have always been good. I'm gonna need more pictures! Quote
K-Nut Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 I've never been into horror and monster themes, so this theme doesn't do that much for me. I'll get the Castle (I'm a sucker for them ) And I might get a few of the smaller sets, but that's about it. But the 20's/30's esque vehicles are nice! Quote
CouchGuy Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Monster Fighters looks like a great theme to spin off as a Lego game. Microfigs monsters and Fighters, anyone? Quote

jonwil Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Anyone else think that set 9463 clearly takes design inspiration from the Studios set with the Werewolf? Quote
IAmWillGibson Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 This set still ranks as my most anticipated this year. Higher even than LOTR, which I'm a pretty big nerd for. Although it's odd a horror-ey theme doesn't have one of these. Quote

Algernon Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I suspect that the zombies set we haven't seen anything for includes a cemetery. That would definitely follow, but thus far the sets have been a bit of a surprise... the Ghost Train, the Hearse, etc. Nothing's stopping it from being a zombie paratrooper brigade. Quote

I'm sorta feeling they might be Voodoo zombies. I dunno why... just a feeling. Quote
Solscud007 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I hope there is a VanHelsing figure. Or some sort of vampire killer. Quote
Sid Sidious Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I'm sorta feeling they might be Voodoo zombies. I dunno why... just a feeling. That's what I was hoping for. I think the graveyard/abandoned farmhouse has been way overdone in media, and that voodoo zombies would be a nice change. Quote
Omicron Squad Leader Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Very detailed look at the sets . Quote
Brickity Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) The interior of the castle looks rather disappointing I was expecting more furniture and a different vibe. It has its rooms, but I think the spaces need more red or something. Edited February 8, 2012 by Otherworld Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Very detailed look at the sets . Thank you. I know that that castle is expensive, but it looks really good, I think I'm going to make an attempt to get it (even though it will be the largest set I've recieved/purchased in over six years). I finally got an okay view of the "Man-Bat" though. I would like a better shot of the face (I couldn't make out any detail) and he'll need a different torso, but the wings and headpiece look great. Walter Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Very detailed look at the sets . Upon closer inspection, it IS Toth's swamp monster that we're getting. SWEET! Quote
Algernon Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Impressions: - Ghost Train is looking fantastic in every possible way. - Hero vehicles look much better close up than they did in the prelim shots. - I'm feeling a little split on Dracula's castle. On one hand, I really like the vibe. The interior reminds me a great deal of Castlevania. It looks like a gothic courtyard. But it is rather sparsely built, and I feel like they could have settled for a smaller, more complete looking castle. Still, it's not bad. - The car that comes with Dracula's castle is BOSS. - I notice a VERY cool printed "moon" piece on the main tower, behind all of the moonstones. - Zombie at 1:00! - Loving the ghostbusters reference with the ghost-sucking vacuum plane. - The minifigures are great, not a klinker in the bunch. Overall, I give this a big Quote
squidman85 Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 - Zombie at 1:00! Isn't that hearse's driver7 Quote
Ceroknight Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 I'm actually OK with the castle's interior, it seems to have lots of fun features as well as space for the figures. It seems you get two man bats, and can the arms on them be able to spread like that? Is that new? Still loving the train! Quote
Jargo Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Tried really hard to pull details out but couldn't with such grainy screencaps. Anyhoo, thought I'd post views of the manbat. WOO! Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Oh my God! I love this theme! The figures look superb, not a single one I don't like. Will try to buy the castle. Any set names or prices? -Sci Quote
