BigHobbit Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Has anybody seen how expensive the Castle is going to be? I've seen the prices for several of the sets, but not the castle. Quote
K-Nut Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Has anybody seen how expensive the Castle is going to be? I've seen the prices for several of the sets, but not the castle. I believe it's either $89.99 USD or $99.99 USD. Quote
Algernon Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I believe it's either $89.99 USD or $99.99 USD. Definitely a fair guess, since the largest set of most themes is usually in this range. Looks like you get a lot of bang for your buck, though. Quote

Clone OPatra Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The Castle is $100 in the U.S. As for the car in the lab set, I don't think it's missing a back half; it's just stubby. It's kind of cute. Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The swamp creature is $6.99, not $8 Ah, yes. Thanks for the correction. Quote
Sid Sidious Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) So far prices seem to be: Swamp Creature $6.99 The Mummy $11.99 Werewolf $24.99 or $29.99 The Vampire Hearse $34.99 Frankenstein $49.99 Ghost Train $79.99 Vampire Castle $99.96 Zombies $??.?? nuparu51 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I'm probably only going to get the vampire limo set for the figs. A bit disappointing. Quote
Dharkan Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I'm probably only going to get the vampire limo set for the figs. A bit disappointing. I agree. Good idea, poor design. Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The motorcycle in the hearse looks kind of like a motorcycle version of Project Satan I was going to say the hearse itself looks like a hearse version of Project Satan. Quote
Ceroknight Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 All the minifigures are great but I realized, the cheaper sets look flimsy and bad compared to the bigger sets.. Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Would someone mind explaining to me where this Zombie set info is coming from? Quote
Mesonak Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Would someone mind explaining to me where this Zombie set info is coming from? From the initial source that first revealed the names of all of the sets from this theme and others. Very trustworthy guy. Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I really like the batboy/man figure. Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 God I love this theme. I wish frankenstein's lab had included a pink alien conquest brain on one of his shelves or something, but oh wells. Glow in the Dark looks a lot less obvious than it used to, huh? Especially if the viking horns on the ghost train are GitD like the dude at the Nuremberg fair was saying. and Summon Aanchir! Do I have anything in the orc/werewolf tree leaves green, or is that color a summer debut? I'm gonna feel like a moron if it's been around for years Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 (edited) This color is named Olive green. You know what, new ghosts are too creepy for me... I don't like how many figures don't smile... Edited February 13, 2012 by Lordofdragonss Quote

Nikola Bathory Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 So, LEGO have made a slightly modified version of the ghost? I love the old one, actually it looks so cute and lovable (the old one). As for the new - well, I don't know, I think I still prefer the old... The vampire castle looks great, this whole line is a nice surprise, it's better than I expected it to be. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I don't get why the ghost is getting so much negative comments. I for one, love the new ghost. The tuft at the back is nice, and the face gives it that nice "ghost" look. -Sci Quote
Graysmith Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 The monster minifigures are really fantastic but a lot of the sets look quite terrible (or like early prototypes). The vehicle in the Swamp Creature set looks absolutely awful, like a bunch of random bricks made to look like some kind of hovercraft.. Just terrible. I can only hope it's an early prototype and the final product will look better. The Vampire Hearse makes me wonder if it's set in Transylvania or a gangster neighbourhood of Los Angeles. They had the chance to make a really iconic, classic theme that paid tribute to all these legendary monsters (while still being fun to play with) but so far I kinda feel like they've dropped the ball. The only sets I really like overall is the Vampire Castle and Frankenstein's laboratory. Quote
Amset-Rah Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I love these new ghosts personally. The old ones had a bit of a goofy look while these new ones are pretty creepy, just the way I like them. Their set is a definite must have for me ,along with the castle. Hell, this whole line looks pretty good. Even if the set is bad, the figures make up for it and these moonstone pieces by themselves look pretty nice. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Agree with Amset-Rah, the new ghosts are awesome. Not enough to spend $80 on that train, mind you, but great nonetheless. Love the concept of the line, but I can definitely see kids passing over them b/c of the heroes. Proper English chaps with bowler hats and funky cars just can't compete with Superheroes, hobbits and green ninjas, if you ask me. Then again, I don't think anyone's gonna be buying these sets for the good guys... Put me down for the Werewolf and Swamp Creature sets. I was really curious about the Vampire Hearse set, but I'm pretty disappointed with the design. Love RENFIELD the driver, though! Quote
surrideo Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I know I will definitely pick up the "impulse" swamp monster set. The stars of the line are the castle and the ghost train but the lower end and mid price range sets are very disappointing imo. The minifigs remain excellent though. Quote
Poison Ivy Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I was under the impression that the bowler hat was going to be black from earlier prelims. Seems it is light bley now. Yep: Light bley. Here's a picture of the female Fighter: (Pics from Brickipedia) Quote
surrideo Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Not sure which site I saw it on but the image on the box was of a black bowler and that was at the toy fair. Quote
