May 3, 201212 yr Ugh, now I have to choose between Vampyre Castle and Epic Dragon Battle for my summer's big set? Why, TLC, why do you hate me?! ;-;
May 3, 201212 yr Ugh, now I have to choose between Vampyre Castle and Epic Dragon Battle for my summer's big set? Why, TLC, why do you hate me?! ;-; What about Jabba's Palace? (Sorry for being off topic) I went to my TRU yesterday, no luck. But I did find an LOTR set. -Sci

May 3, 201212 yr Well if it's 50 usd/euro it is expensive. I mean yeah, we love zombies but It looks like a 40 usd/euro set.
May 3, 201212 yr What about Jabba's Palace? (Sorry for being off topic) -Sci Oh crap, I completely forgot about that. TLC hates me to pieces. What? He's saying he found a Lord of the Rings set. Edited May 3, 201212 yr by Zibdas
May 3, 201212 yr I'm fairly new to Lego but $50 sounds a bit much for what is in the set. That's not smeared lipstick,it's clearly blood, makes no sense for a zombie just out of the ground to have lipstick on! It would actually make perfect sense for a zombie fresh out of the ground to wear lipstick, seeing as most people are fancied up before their funerals (which includes makeup as well as the formalwear the zombies in this set are depicted with). That said, I think LEGO made it purposefully ambiguous, so that people who want to see it as blood will do so, and any complaints about it can be defused by saying it's just lipstick.
May 3, 201212 yr Either way,blood/lipstick,I'm swapping her head out and replacing it with the chauffer's head.
May 3, 201212 yr Yes, that's the right train of thought in the matter, but take one more step: before TLC ever gets those molds produced they will clearly have a schedule prepared laying out what themes the new items will be used in and for how long. My guess is that even before those CMF classic horror characters appeared, a fetal Monster Fighters theme was already alive and kicking in TLC's test tubes... with an appetite for those CMF pieces hardwired into its existence ;) Or in other words: If it wasn't for a subsequent theme to use those CMF items later on in mind, there would never be those items in the first place. Just look how the spaceman's retro-raygun found its way into the fading Alien Conquest line. Or the new highlander/black knight-longswords will be prominent in the upcoming LOTR sets. I quess there's still some mileage for some of those elusive collectable-only pieces to be had in future regular themes. That line of thought raises or further reinforces some thoughts about whatever the next space theme will be. Just look at that nice space marine suit they gave us. Although by the same token the possibility of an entire "bunny suit" theme has my slightly terrified. ( "Space Marines vs Bunnymen"? )
May 3, 201212 yr Although by the same token the possibility of an entire "bunny suit" theme has my slightly terrified. ( "Space Marines vs Bunnymen"? ) Or it's the next wave of Monster Fighters, with Godzilla, King Kong and Bunnies – or humans magically turned into them – as the monsters. To quote from the Buffy musical episode: Bunnies aren't just cute like everybody supposes They got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses And what's with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyway? Bunnies, bunnies, it must be bunnies!
May 4, 201212 yr I think there might be two variants of the Vampire minifigure. One of the sets doesn't seem to indicate that he has a glow in the dark head, and this photo makes me skeptical that the head is translucent. I'm thinking only the Vampire minifigure from the hearse is glow in the dark. EDIT: Actually, the box art for the castle makes it look like his head is glow in the dark also, so I'm just more confused now. Edited May 4, 201212 yr by Walt
May 4, 201212 yr That's because it's a new version of glow-in-the-dark - it's opaque white when not glowing, so the vampire doesn't suffer from Snape-head Syndrome.

I don't think it is that traditional translucent greenish white. It is among other things a straight up opaque looking white. So it can be hard to spot the glow in the dark parts in pictures now.
May 4, 201212 yr Does anyone else think the new were-wolf head looks more like a were-bear's head? ~Insectoid Aristocrat
May 5, 201212 yr Does anyone else think the new were-wolf head looks more like a were-bear's head? ~Insectoid Aristocrat I dunno; I think the muzzle is more wolfish than bearish.
May 5, 201212 yr I don't think it looks more like a bear than a wolf, but I will say that I think it's just a bit too big for my taste. It kind of comes off looking like it's a person wearing a wolf's head mask rather than a "real" head.. Kind of like the Lizard Man CMF, but not obviously looking like a mask. May 5, 201212 yr Hello everybody! Here's my thoughts for MF (Monster Fighters): Part 1: The minifigures-Good guys(No idea what to call them!) Dr Rodney-TLG has introduced a newer(More interesting?)robotic leg in that minifigure and thus made it more...attractive? The weapond of that minifigure is an interesting choice-the fencing foil which is only available in Collectable Minifigures...until now. P.S. Is he voiced by the same person that voiced Pythor? Jack Mac-hammer-New hammer piece used by Thor, Robotic arm and a car with a gigantic hammer. What is there more to ask? Ann Lee-Camerawoman's hairpiece...without any bones! Very interesting choice. There's nothing wonderful about this minifigure in my opinion Frank Rock-Besides Elvis's hair, nothing else that's extraordinary. Quinton Steele-Same thing,only the new gun piece appeals to me Villains -Lord Vampyre-WONDERFUL JOB, TLG!!...In repeating another Vampire But it is still interesting to me. In my opinion, all the heads contain Phosphorous-the substance used to create Glow-in-the-dark pieces. But only one of the two minifigures created will include the cape. I hate that... Overall for this minifigure, nice. -Vampire's bride-I was shocked to discover that TLG actually released that minifigure. Very unique... The interesting pieces are the conical flask and hair -Vampyre's Minions (1): Man bat. Not the Man-bat from Batman, but an interesting minifigures with hands pointing upwards! It will be useful in MOCs, that's for sure. The interesting parts are the hairpiece and the 'wings' T0 BE CONTINUED...
May 5, 201212 yr What can the haunted mansion be then? A modular? Exclusive? Wow, I imagine there are going to be some "ghost" minifigs there (as in human form, like the typical fancy lady with short hair and robes) Edited May 5, 201212 yr by Otherworld
May 5, 201212 yr Hello everybody! Here's my thoughts for MF (Monster Fighters): Part 1: The minifigures-Good guys(No idea what to call them!) Well, you could always go with "Monster Fighters."
May 5, 201212 yr Goodness, those zombies look beautiful. I need some of them for my graveyard (which is just a modified version of the one from Harry Potter) and some heads to build some zombie medieval soldiers for my evil army....
