Those are some weird arms...

At first, I thought you were talking about the wings. Then I noticed the arm joints.

I'd normally complain about an arm variant like this but it seems to work nicely. The figure looks a lot like Man-Bat from the Lego Batman game. :classic:

I would have preferred the wings to be attached on the neck like the game's version, though. The new wing mould in the Catwoman set could have worked.

Oh my God! I love this theme! The figures look superb, not a single one I don't like. Will try to buy the castle. Any set names or prices?

maybe, 80$? :sceptic:

love the sets! they are extremly playable with alot of great feaures. I don't remember seeing any LEGO set with this much features like this castle has :cry_happy:

train vagons are kinda dissapointing, but overall - mustbuy

Looking at the video again I think I like the castle even more. It does have a healthy amount of traps and nifty play features (I could even spot a few that the speaker forgot to mention) and the minifigs alone make it arguably worth buying. Just lovely.

I've been hoping for this theme since LEGO Studios played with the idea back in the early 2000's. Of course, this will probably be more interesting to people once we start nearing October. It's clearly a Halloween cash-in, which means we can probably be sure this is another single-wave theme (a la Pharaoh's Quest). I hope that it will be longer lived than that, but for something this seasonal, I doubt it. That's okay though, at least I can focus on stocking up on this wave. :classic:

I am liking the ghost train, seems like a good source of interesting black bits (cow-catcher, large wheels, curved parts and more)

Less interested in the castle since I dont build castle and it doesn't have as many useful bits as other 2012 sets :)

This seems like a theme I'm definitely looking forward too. The ghost train and Dracula's Castle are both must haves for me, and say what you will about Frankenstein's Lab, I think it would work extremely well if you modded it a tiny bit.

Though the one set I'm very interested in seeing is the Zombies set. That sounds like it could have a lot of potential and lead to a bunch of Left 4 Dead/zombie apocalypse MOCs. (At least what I plan on doing with that set. )

Edit: In that video, I saw, what I think are one of the zombies in the Zombies set (He looks like a bus driver or something). If the rest of them look as good as him, I'm sold.

But yeah, I'm stoked about these sets. Both the heroes and monsters look amazing (And I'm on the bandwagon that thought the monsters were CMF rehashes, but they're different, in a way)

Nope, that's the Vampire's limo driver. Not a Zombie, though it would make a fantastic one.

Ah, my mistake. I haven't been here in ages, so my knowledge of the new themes is a bit rusty. I guess you could use him as another zombie, in case there aren't enough in the initial set.

One interesting part I noticed in the castle is the part that is used to conect the moon stones together. It appears to be an Technic angle connector, but with three connection points radiating from it at intervals of 120 degrees. I'm sure this part will see a lot of use in Technic, and also probably in system for attaching things like helicopter rotors.

Watching the video, the guy demonstrating the sets, states that there are only seven sets. I wonder if that means we won't be getting a zombie set after all? :cry_sad:

I hope that's not the case. I'd love a zombie set.

Still, it's not a deal breaker. That castle is mine.

Where does this info there is going to be a zombie set come from, anyway? :sceptic:

IIRC, the set #s have a missing # (example: 5520, 5521, 5523, 5524) so the "missing" one is a store exclusive, and someone posted a list before we got pics that had "zombies" as a set title.

Thank you, that face looks nice. I would of liked red eyes to match LEGO's video game Man-Bat, but this is really nice. Like Delta 38, I would of prefered Batman's wing mold in brown or dark brown (and maybe painted  ), but I appreciate the effort on LEGO's part (even though I'm convinced the torso will be chinese). The torso doesn't look as bad as I thought either, but I think I'll use the minotaur's.

And just for reference/comparison

Upon closer inspection, it IS Toth's swamp monster that we're getting. SWEET! :sweet:

Yes and no. It is not an exact replica of this design - the details of the prints are different, and I would say that even the crest of the headpiece is slighly different. Nevertheless the swamp creature of this theme is by no doubt designed by Toth too, it is just a little bit updated version.

Who wants some new pictures?

EDIT: The images aren't showing up. Wierd. I'll try to fix them.
