I really like the look of this theme and I am definitely looking forward to seeing these on the shelves; I think my favorite minfig from it so far must be the funky-looking swamp monster and I'm glad to see that he comes in the cheapest set.

Me too. That's why I am excited about this series, every set, even the smallest one, has something unique and interesting about it, be it a new or uncommon piece or glow in the dark elements or interesting play features, as well as amazing minifigures.

I hope we find out more about this Haunted House soon. I'm perfectly comfortable skipping the Ghost Train in favour of it if it comes with some of those tasty new ghosts. I love the idea of the train but I'm a bit ehh about the execution and I know the cost is gonna be too high for something I'm not in love with.

Having said that, I also hope that it falls under the Creator line or something, because those always clock in at a good parts/cost ratio. And the house itself looks quite capable of being de-spookied, which is cool. I could see with a bit of creative use f bulk white to turn it into a big ol' mansion to have in the Christmas Village. Sure it's a little dark, but nothing a snowman can't brighten up.

This is a bizarre theme. It is quite 'all out'. Yet, most sets seem underdeveloped and a fairly random mish mash of bricks. However, the two vampire sets are actually quite good. I would even go as far as to say that I find the vampire castle one of the best recent castles. It is creative and very dark - I love it!

Still, it is nowhere near as bad as that Time Chasers theme that came out in the 90's! That theme was the epitome of bizarre. Monster Fighters is a strange theme, but it has potential for greatness is handled well-I for one will try to pick up a couple of sets, if only for the monster figures/pieces. I really want to get a couple of those excellent swamp creatures!

I think these are just the ones FBTB took at Toy Fair, but way smaller. Why link these? It's not like you can make out anything in them.

Sorry, but you really don't need to be so rude about it though. I wasn't sure if these were posted, so I posted them. I found them on brickipedia, I didn't know they were on FBTB...

I am completely and utter pumped about this theme. I hope there will be a zombie set. A nice graveyard with fresh undead...

That sounds like a Heroica Quest hook. Oh wait... :look::laugh:

I agree, though, that would be great. I missed out on the CS1 Zombie and have an insufficient supply of undead. And I'm just a mage, not a necromancer.

I have only got the one zombie from S1. A set with a graveyard would be the most obvious for that figure but I'm wondering if Lego grave stones would be a no no for lego to produce?

The Graveyard Duel suggests that TLG is not averse to including gravestones in sets. While it can be argued that TLG is a lot less strict about some of their licensed themes than they are about their own intellectual properties, I see no reason gravestones would be against any of their policies.

That is a nice set. Never knew that they made that. Its a pity Harry potter is gone( for good/for now). A lot of good imagery from the books and film in such a small set compared to some more recent lacklustre sets.

So its seems fair game for the undead to rise from their shallow graves and atatck the living. Maybe lego could have included some scared civilians in a couple of the sets like Alien conquest. To be fair they can be easily substituted into this theme

No one on Cuusoo seems to like the idea... But maybe if I added a few dozen Stormtroopers, it'd get votes.

Anywho, I really would like an official Graveyard type thing, because it's pretty simple and nicely modifiable in that you can make it "spooky" for the Monster Fighters theme, but could easily remove that gloss and have a regular, respectable cemetery for people who want that sort of thing in their LEGO town. I'm sure there are people that would. Although I think if LEGO went for it, it'd feature blockier stones of a more non-denominational style [read: not crosses] even though in my [limited] experimentation, crosses conveyed the idea far more efficiently and at the proper scale.

Is it really that hard to build one of your own?

I was a somewhat macabre child and quickly figured how to build tombs, markers and statues...

This new zombie set sounds fun. All the sets look pretty good, I just wish that the green car was in a smaller set...

A mixture of its style and colour choice I'm sure was a defining factor in that

Overall they are a random collection of vehicles they all have(the hunters) A van/truck(not a mystery machine I promise) would have been good for them to have a hub of sorts as they venture to the monsters lairs.

At first I felt a little disappointed that the Dracula castle was not enclosed. However, after seeing it on a YouTube video at NYC Toy Fair, I see that it actually folds up rather well to kind of make a 3 wall structuce. With some small modifications it could actually be a little enclosed castle.

Indeed. I believe that there is a small tomb in Garmaddon's Fortress too, so maybe we'll get something along those lines. I certainly wouldn't be surprised.
