Sid Sidious Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Or they were stolen from the Mexican factory like a lot of the Super Heroes minifigures were at the end of last year. Or the Chinese factory like a lot of CMs were. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I don't care for the ghost train, but those new ghost shrouds are pretty awesome. I will always have a special place for the old type, but these new ones not being happy adds a nice touch to it. I can't wait to pick up some of these. Hopefully that Haunted House has them, if/when it comes available. Quote
305Bats Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 So there are still no images of the Zombie set? Quote
Amset-Rah Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 So there are still no images of the Zombie set? Not yet, but at least we have an idea of what the set will likely be about, since the bio sheet mentioned a voodoo necromancer guy. These won't be your George Romero zombies, that's for sure. Quote

These won't be your George Romero zombies, that's for sure. Not to be really off topic but: Romero based his early undead visions on real life legends of voodoo. He just put a slightly different spin on it and made it "easier" for mainstream audiences to understand. Back on topic: I wish we had better close ups of finished versions of the monsters and the fighters. I want to figure out which ones I want to buy right away. Quote

I was just thinking zombies like the CMF Series 1 zombie. Anyway, I agree with there needing to be better pics out there, but I already have an idea of which ones I'll be getting, which'll probably be all of them (Even the weakest set has a reason to get it) Quote
legomylego Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Very cool. My friend and i are thinking of making a lego zombie invasion. Quote
Darth Hagrid Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 *cough*http://monsterfighters.lego.com*cough* Oh, and this showed up in the video on the main page: Sorry if I did this incorrectly, I'm new to image posting. Quote
Combee Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 *cough*http://monsterfighters.lego.com*cough* Nice find! That video was pretty funny Can't wait to see the zombie set Quote
mordatre Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 The Zombie-set looks great! The video was fun and actually made me put some of the sets in the "Will-buy-on-sale"-basket. Quote
Darth Hagrid Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Can't wait to see the zombie set I may be wrong, but I'm thinking that is what's in the background of the zombie image. Quote
Lyichir Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 The site only serves to confirm how frickin' awesome this theme is going to be. At the very least, the Vampire Castle is a shoo-in for my Christmas list this year. Quote
LaytonsApprentice2 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Looks like no one saw the zombie set in the video, but i did! Here it is: It consists of graves and a tomb! Looks very good. Also i have a better picture of the zombies: They look very creepy :D Quote
Algernon Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 That's definitely one of the coolest promotional videos I've seen from LEGO! I loved the style. Can't wait for this theme. Quote
ttoole73 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I just hope there are more than 3 zombies in the set. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 That video was amazing! I am even more excited for this theme now. There was one thing that confused me in the video, though, which is why the zombies throw the zombie driver off the cliff. Later, The Vampire Lord is driving his own hearse, without the driver, and it looks like the driver is lying face down in that shot with the zombies in the graveyard. Maybe that element of the story will somehow be explained later. I think there is still one minifigure yet to be revealed, which is the voodoo doctor in the zombie set, but perhaps that was just a false rumor. Quote
LaytonsApprentice2 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) I just hope there are more than 3 zombies in the set. Nope, there are only 2 in this set. You see on the picture there are only two graves. The one in blue is the driver of the Lord Vampyres hearse ;) Also, here is a map of the Monsters Realm: Edited April 24, 2012 by LaytonsApprentice2 Quote
CM4Sci Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) WOW! That's got to be the neatest vid I've ever seen (for a LEGO minisite)! There was a video about Ann Lee and how she was just learning "broomstick-itzu" or something, and I laughed WAY harder than necessary. The Zombie set looks nice, I can't wait to see this "Voodoo Doctor"... EDIT: In one of the minigames, you can see part of the zombie set. Here: -Sci Edited April 24, 2012 by CM4S Quote
Endgame Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Ann lee is said to specilize in Broomstikajitzu - considering she hasn't displayed this ability in the 2 sets she is in, I preidct she'll use it in the zombies set. Quote

I doubt it, I think it's just flavor text. Here's the vehicle from the set, it appears to be some kind of truck with flick-fire missiles on top. I think that the zombie with the top hat is actually the voodoo doctor. We've seen all the other figs, so it just makes sense to me. Also, it's a good way to avoid potential race issues that might arise with a voodoo doctor. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Zeya Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) I think that the zombie with the top hat is actually the voodoo doctor. I think you're right. He looks like a New Orleans-style voodoo guy, given the top hat and colorful vest. (Hey that top hat has a curved brim, I think! Wow!) Plus it seems most of the "villains" are monsters, with a possible exception of the mad scientist fig. Edited April 24, 2012 by Zeya Quote
sok117 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Man, I am really liking this line! Definitely picking some of these up on sale. The zombie set looks great! The truck is awesome, I just hope theres more then two zombies! Quote
Algernon Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I just noticed the semi-official debut of the Zombie set! For a change, one of the coolest parts of the set appears to be the Monster Fighter vehicle. I love that truck. The zombie figs are great, too. The graveyard is serviceable, if unremarkable. At the very least, it provides us with some attractively moody scenery, which is one of my favorite parts of this theme. Great stuff all-around. It seems like this theme is gearing up for release, which strikes me as a tad early given the clearly seasonal nature of the theme, but I'm not complaining. I want that Castle. Quote
Oky Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Broomstickjitzu = Best thing ever? Anyway, that's indeed a neat video, and the zombie set is looking pretty good. I like the post-apoc look of that truck and I'm glad it comes with Jack. His hammer should prove useful in fighting off those zombies! Quote
