Welcome to EB! I love how you did the nose. Excellent shaping there.

EB isn't made to host images, so that's why you can't attach much. You should get a Brickshelf account, to which you can upload unlimited pictures. There are tutorials on how to upload images to Brickshelf and how to embed them on EB.

Great job of the scale and shaping of the Rancor Vector , I love it's big grasping hands.

I also like the nose, looks great...The hands (claws) look great too.. welcome to the club..

What are your plans for the darker part of this?

Very cool work! Like the others, I also love the nose technique. Also like the way you did the mouth and hands. The body is a bit too blocky and studded for my tastes, though (maybe a v2 in the future?)

Hi:) First of all thank you a lot for the comments.

I worked very long and hard on the design and tried out a lot of ways to make the Rancor look best I am thinking about maybe re-designing the arms and legs but I am quite happy with it^^ Of course I will post some other pictures (Brickshelf, Flickr etc.) so you can see the body from other perspectives:)

To make a darker picture I was thinking about building Jabba's palace (starting with dungeon/ throne room) and installing some LED's in the background so you can see the Rancor but creating a twilighting admosphere:)

Jabba's palace is my next project...

Oh wow that nose is lovely! The hands might be a tad big though.

Nice! I never thought about using those log bits for his nose. Nice piece usage.

Did anyone already mention the lovely nose?

Fantastic Rancor! The whole head is really accurate, which is hard to make due to the fact that it's an organic shape. The claws are cool too, I would love to see a Gamorrean guard trapped in there.

Great work Vector, Mood sumed it up for me, Love the nose tech, Love the big hands, htey look just right IMO and the body does look a little blockish but over all it awsome.

Thanks a lot again:) I made two new pics with Gammorean guards as you wished.

They turned out quite crappy but I'll try making the quality better using some computer help:D

Hello!

A great brick-built Rancor! It is really angry and menacing looking just like in the movie. Maybe you can go even further and try to stick one of the guards into the Rancor's mouth.
