I'm making a MOC of an 18th Bohemian Farm House that my wife and I currently restoring in real life. I started this MOC because I miss the house living in the states and having the house in Europe. My question is, does anyone have any pointers for making a building "look" old. The current situation is pictured, I tried playing with the colors of the roof tiles, the real thing has part new, part old roof tiles, but im looking more at the walls to show their age of a few hundred years. If you are interested in suggestions I can send more pics in a PM or other way.

Thanks,

Ken

I was thinking more of changing/blending color shades, I know the pic doesn't show everything, but the fence I already mad from those modified bricks.

Thanks

You can color blend for tan using dark tan, brown(s), white. Also change out some of the bricks for stacks of plates. This will give a more weathered look.

Not sure if it is accurate to the real thing, but some plant growth (using the tree pieces) on the wall will give it a sense that it has been their awhile.

The use of smaller elements is the way to go ...check this out. :wub_drool:

Thats the house I was thinking of too, just love it. I think that is built much larger scale than what Kano is doing though. If I recall that victorian is 4 feet tall.
