soccerkid6 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) I swing at Mercenary Spear B from the front row with a warcry Should all of us but 1 focus on 1 target again this round? Edited December 7, 2011 by soccerkid6
Jedi master Brick Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Elgar will attack Mercenary spear B from the back row
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Cronk thank Tomas for the healing. Much appreciated. Cronk will bash Spear B from front row. Aragon will attack Spear C from front row. No reason to change order so will be same.

soccerkid6 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Good job everyone, and thanks for the gold Cronk. Now lets see how we can help the paladins most.

Etzel Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 Cronk divides the loot and then the party turns to the soldiers at the gate. Cronk (Played by CorneliusMurdock) Level 14.5 Knight Power: 25 Health: 23/23 Gold: 181 Inventory: Zoot's Bane (Long Sword) (WP: 11, Light Damage, suitable for Cronk), Sword of Bashing (WP: 5), Mockthrill Shield (SP: 4), Potion (2), Bedroll, Pointy Stick (WP:1), Fire bomb Sir Glorfindel (Played by soccerkid6) Level 8 Knight Power: 11 Health: 17/17 Gold: 91 Inventory: Ringil a sword (hollow blade [potion], Ice Elemental WP:3), Lion Shield (SP:2), Bedroll, Potion (3)(one in sword), Ice bomb, Fire bomb Sir Leo Aragon (Played by JediAnakin) Level 12 Knight Power: 19 Health: 21/21 Gold: 115 Inventory: Burning Draken Sword (WP:7, Fire elemental), Pongcanis Shield (SP: 3), Potion (2), Bedroll, Shovel, Mead Elgar Gligin (Played by Jedi master Brick) Level 8 Ranger Power: 12 Health: 13/13 Gold: 109 Inventory: Mockthril crossbow (WP:4 Lightning elemental), Smoke bomb, Bedroll, Remedy (2), Orc venom, Potion (2), Ice bomb, Venom Tomas (Played by Captain Tamamoro) Level 14 Cleric Power: 20 Health: 23/23 Ether: 7/19 Gold: 200 Inventory:Shadeaux Staff (WP: 6), Gold Staff (WP: 4), Pongcanis Staff (WP: 5), 2 Potions, 3 Remedies, 2 Bedrolls, 1 Tonics, Bone, Grand Tonic, Fire Bomb, Shovel, Mead, Venom, Smoke Bomb, Topaz Elemental Gem, Smelling Salts, Common Axe (WP:5), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect) The leader of the knights at the gate steps forward to address the heroes. "Thank you for your help soldiers! No doubt we would have been able to handle them ourself, but we don't mind sharing the fun. But what is this? A greenskin! Get lost you filthy creature, we don't want any of your kind near us!" The knight spits in front of Cronk's feet and gives him a look filled with disgust. What will the party reply?
soccerkid6 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I reply with diplomacy Are you Lord Kapriel? I surely would have thought a Lord of the Paladin Order would have been taught to respect others. All of us happen to have been sent to reinforce you, by High Priestess Alisameth. And I would appreciate it if you didn't judge Cronk before you know him. His favorite thing to do is Bash Evil by the way. Now what do you want us to do to help?
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Sadly, Cronk is used to such treatment. (Diplomacy) Sir knight, Cronk asks that you judge Cronk not by Cronk's skin but by Cronk's deeds. Cronk is here to help Paladins, sent by the High Priestess. All Cronk wants is to bash evil and help Cronk's friends. Cronk would like to count Sir knight as one of Cronk's friends if Sir knight will give him a chance.

I sure am Lord Kapriel, High Commander of Light and Justice, and you should know better then to speak up to me. You are the reinforcements I sent for? Bah, I should have known not to lay such responsibility on a woman. The High Priestess might know a lot of theology but when it comes to warfare she is no better than a simple bar maid. I don't trust that orc, and I will not have him in my army." (Diplomacy) Sir knight, Cronk asks that you judge Cronk not by Cronk's skin but by Cronk's deeds. Your kind has brought nothing but destruction and chaos to this world. You are creatures of darkness, but the Righteous Light will smite you all! Now hold your tongue or I'll have it cut out!" Lord Kapriel looks at everyone in the party and then points at Sir Leo Aragon. "You there! Come with me and we'll discuss this matter more in detail. You others can wait inside the town, but keep an eye on that orc!" "Soldiers! Regroup inside the gates! Get the wounded to the clerics and go find some food and rest, we might be at it again soon!" While Sir Leo and Lord Kapriel walks away to talk, the rest of the party moves inside the gates together with the soldiers. To the right of them is a small garden and a strange building, to the left is a house that some of the Order's soldiers go into, there is also stairs up to the battlements behind the house. The party can visit any of these places or wait at the gate while Lord Kapriel and Sir Leo discuss.
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Cronk think party should examine small garden and get closer look at strange building. (To friends:) Lord Grumpypants is very annoying. Cronk think Commander need all help available. If Commander stupid enough to think Cronk evil, Cronk not let it get to Cronk.
soccerkid6 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 As we head toward the garden I whisper to Cronk, "He sure is a judgmental jump to conclusion sort isn't he? If he won't let you help him, what are we going to do? I suppose we could help the paladins by working separately. But we were supposed to follow his orders
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I suppose we could help the paladins by working separately. But we were supposed to follow his orders If Lord Grumpypants orders friends to leave, Cronk will follow orders. No skin off Cronk's nose. Party will still be fulfilling quest. Cronk will just explain to High Priestess how stupid Lord Grumpypants is. OOC: I just remembered that I'm supposed to be determining Aragon's actions. Did you want me to speak for him?
Etzel Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 OOC: I just remembered that I'm supposed to be determining Aragon's actions. Did you want me to speak for him? OoC: No, it's OK, I got it. Sir Leo will return to the rest of the party later on. The party goes right and find themselves in a very green garden with white flowers on the sides of a paved path. Before them stands a white dressed old man with a staff. "Greetings pilgrims! Welcome to the tomb of Miekahl Ligthbringer."
soccerkid6 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Greetings to you as well, so this is the famous tomb. It is beautiful, are you the privileged person who keeps these grounds in order? Is there anything unusual about the tomb, other then the famous body it contains of course.
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Could nice man tell Cronk and friends more about Miekahl Ligthbringer? Cronk is fascinated by stories of bashing evil.
Etzel Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Greetings to you as well, so this is the famous tomb. It is beautiful, are you the privileged person who keeps these grounds in order? Is there anything unusual about the tomb, other then the famous body it contains of course. "Yes, as priest of the town of Tanco, it is also my duty and privilege to tend to this sanctuary of ours. Of course there is something special about this tomb! Pilgrims travel from far away countries just to visit it and maybe be blessed by the Lightbringer. Numerous are those who have walked away from here much purer in soul and body, and with a power inside them that makes them shine of light. Would you like to pray at the tomb and maybe experience that yourself, young knight?" Could nice man tell Cronk and friends more about Miekahl Ligthbringer? Cronk is fascinated by stories of bashing evil. "What, an orc? Be careful and keep that helmet on! Lord Kapriel hates everyone of your kind! There are quite a few of similar mind in the Order, the loss of the Kingdom of Ennon is a wound that won't heal. Not even after more then 200 years! The role your ancestors played in that still angers Lord Kapriel. But most of us in the spiritual section of the Order has left that behind, and I will be happy to tell you a bit about Miekahl Lightbringer." When the kingdom of Ennon crumbled and fell during the Orcish Invansion 250 years ago, many of its citizens fled to other counties. Many chose to travel over the sea to the Free Island since the orcs didn't have a fleet. Eubric became a center for the people of Ennon in diaspora and they kept their beliefs and religion. After the orc had been defeated by the brave veterans of Heroica, some people of Ennon wanted to return to their homeland. A small group of 15 men, women and children left Eubric on a ship bound for Burping Bay, near what is now the city of Newharbour, at a nice sunny day the following year. They were planning to travel into the lost kingdom of Ennon and rebuild a settlement there. The ship sailed out from the Eubric harbour with good speed and after a couple of days they sighted land. But the Light had different plans for these pioneers, and a storm quickly blow up and tosses their ship all the way to the island of Moone. The sail and the rudder had both been destroyed by the storm and the ship stranded on the west side of the island. The people decided they would stay on this new land until they had made the necessary repairs of the ship and three of the men set out to find locals to trade with. These three were named Sejus, Odam and Miekahl. Sejus was the oldest and wisest, he had been a priest of Ennoc back in Ennon while the kingdom was still alive. After the catastrophic battle at the Elsruhk Gates, Sejus and the rest of the priesthood fled north and then to Uland and Eubric. Odam was a shoemaker, he and his fiancé had fled from Forlaan during the invasion and hidden in the Waldurk forest for several months before fining a way over the mountains down to Draida Bay. There they managed to have a fisherman take them to Eubric. Miekahl was the youngest, just a boy when the orcs came pouring in over the country, pillaging, burning and murdering. He and his family took shelter with the other inhabitants of his village in an old watchtower. But the orcs spared no one and burned down the tower while killing anyone who tried to escape. How Miekahl survived is unknown, but somehow with the help of Ennoc he did. He crawled out from under the burnt ruins of the tower and the cremated bodies of his friends and family. After a long and horrible journey through the devastated country he finally manage to find some other fugitives and together they managed to flee to Eubric. Well there a hard life waited for Miekahl. He lived in the streets and stole and begged to survive. When the pioneer expedition to Ennon were arranged, Miekahl saw his chance and manage to be accepted as one of the members because of his heritage. The men explored the nearest area but didn't find any settlements and decided to travel further into the land. Just a short bit from where we stand now, not more than a stone throw, they came upon a band of raiders. Not knowing the nature of these persons, the three men approached them. The raiders quickly captured them and began questioning them to find out who there were. The three men refused to speak, fearing the raiders would go after the families down at the ship, so the raiders started to torturing them. Sejus was the first one to die by the treatment, his old body couldn't take much more. Odam were almost there too, when Miekahl told the raiders they were treasure hunters searching for a long lost crystal goblet that had amazing powers. The raiders were of course greatly intrigued by this and forced Miekahl and Odam to show them the way the treasure. With no knowledge of the land whatsoever, Miekahl was guided by the sun light and when the sun shined towards a cave in a mountain side he told the raiders that it was the spot. All the raiders rush inside to claim the treasure and was never seen again, but Miekahl and Odam returned to the ship and after some days of hard work, the ship was repaired. The families decided that the time for a return to Ennon had yet to come, the death of their priest Sejus was a sign of that, and returned back to Eubric. When back, Miekahl founded the Paladin Order to gather all the believers of Ennoc in Eubric. Mostly young fighters and pious clergies was drawn to this new establishment and the Order's noble goal became to fight against injustice, taking lesson from episode with the raiders. Miekahl as named High Priest and also High commander of Light and Justice, the only one who has had both these titles. When he grew old and were close to death, he wished to see the island of Moone and the place where he first saw the divine light of Ennoc one last time. He came here and prayed to the Righteous Light and the Light answered. During his last minutes alive, Miekahl was shining as strong as the sun and no one could lay eyes upon him. When his soul left his body the light faded and his companions built this tomb over him at the exact spot that he had first seen the Righteous Light. For all the good he brought to this land, and all the wisdom about Ennoc that he shared with his brothers, he was named Lightbringer and his tomb is next to the Temple of Ennoc the most holy place in the world to us. OoC: Gah, I did not have that prepared. Now sleep.
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Wow. Miekahl Ligthbringer sound like really great guy. Cronk would like to pray at tomb. Cronk knows Cronk is but an Orc but Cronk has devoted Cronk's life to bashing evil and helping good beings. Cronk is saddened by attitude of Lord Kapriel. Is not prejudice an injustice?
soccerkid6 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 (edited) "I also would be honored to pray at this sacred tomb" Then I bow my head and pray. Edited December 9, 2011 by soccerkid6
Tamamono Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Disgusted at Lord Kapriel's ignorance, Tomas follows the rest of the party to the shrine. "Can you believe him? He's even worse than that Lord Keveak." Upon hearing that the shrine he is standing in front of it is the tomb of Miekahl Ligthbringer, Tomas's eyes widen and he gets on his knees to pray at the tomb. He remembers the stories his Grandfather used to tell him about the legendary High Priest.
