Sir Leo will join you after you have visited one more place, and don't worry, I got something for him too.
soccerkid6 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 (edited) Feeling refreshed and strengthened I turn to the rest of the group. How about we go to the house next? Edited December 9, 2011 by soccerkid6
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Cronk happy to get approval from spirit of great paladin. Cronk thank priest for opportunity for prayer here. Cronk give priest 20 Gold. Please use money to feed poor in Tanco. Cronk agree that visiting small house that soldiers went into is good idea. Party will visit house.
Etzel Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 The heroes go to the house to the left. Its ground floor is built out of stone, with some good masonry showing, and on top of that a nice wooden second floor, painted light green. The heroes walk in and find it to be a tavern where some of the Paladin Order's knights and soldiers are taking a rest and a drink while waiting for orders. The men at the bar look up as the heroes walk in but then goes back to their drinks and conversations. Do the party wish to speak to any of the men?
soccerkid6 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Walking over to the man in armor seated on the stool I ask "Have you been stationed here long? And do those mercenaries always leave at the sound of a horn? I'm Sir Glorfindel from Heroica, we were sent to reinforce you."
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Cronk not sure Cronk should advertise Cronk's presence with lot of paladin order... But Cronk not ashamed to be Cronk! Cronk should not run and hide when jerks not like Cronk. Cronk must keep trying. Cronk will talk to happy man on far right. "Hello future friend of Cronk. How goes things?"
Jedi master Brick Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Elgar now blessed by a holy deity walked up to the barman and asked "what happended to your eye?"

And do those mercenaries always leave at the sound of a horn? I'm Sir Glorfindel from Heroica, we were sent to reinforce you." "Well met, Sir Glorfindel! I am Sir Damiel, knight in the 1st Battalion of Light and Justice. I've been here with the battalion for about two months now, I wish we could leave soon. But that won't happen until we have killed all of our enemies, cursed be them! The mercenaries have good discipline, I got to admit. They always follows the orders given to them by their captain's horns. We in the Order use flags instead to give orders on the battle field. For example, a white flag means "attack", a black one "retreat" and a red flag means "need of assistance"." Cronk not sure Cronk should advertise Cronk's presence with lot of paladin order... But Cronk not ashamed to be Cronk! Cronk should not run and hide when jerks not like Cronk. Cronk must keep trying. Cronk will talk to happy man on far right. "Hello future friend of Cronk. How goes things?" "Hey, Lord Kapriel might have spared you for now, but I swear I will punch out those stupid teeth of yours if you come near me again! Filthy greenskin!" Elgar now blessed by a holy deity walked up to the barman and asked "what happended to your eye?" "Lost it in a bar fight many years ago. Now, do you want a drink or just waste my time? 5 gold for a nice strong ale, then we can chat some more."
soccerkid6 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Walking back over to the group I comment, "Well these mercenaries seem to be quite organized, the knight I talked too seemed quite friendly. Should we head back outside?"
Jedi master Brick Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 "I say leave, some of these people don't seem nice."
Tamamono Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 "Hey, Lord Kapriel might have spared you for now, but I swear I will punch out those stupid teeth of yours if you come near me again! Filthy greenskin!" Tomas walks up to the Knight in shoulder pads. "Why is it that your people are so ignorant? Cronk is a good fighter and a loyal friend, not a doormat for you to walk all over. He's twice the man you are."
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Friend Tomas, Cronk appreciate the effort but Cronk not sure if now right time for sticking up for Cronk. Last thing party needs is to be responsible for bar fight. Perhaps best thing for Cronk to do is go sit in corner quietly until something evil needs bashing. Rest of party will be better at talking to prejudiced paladins...

Cronk is a good fighter and a loyal friend, not a doormat for you to walk all over. He's twice the man you are." "I'll make you regret those words, cleric! I'm the champion swordsman in the battalion, and I don't take easy on insults!" The knight get up and grabs a huge scimitar, much nicked from long time use. Tomas, PREPARE FOR BATLLE! NOTE: This is a one vs. one fight between Tomas and the knight, the party can talk to the other people in the bar during the fight, or just cheer for their comrade, but they are not allowed to join the battle or pass items or similar that could help Tomas in the battle. I then walk over to the armored knight and ask, "Is the "Champion Swordsman" really as good as he says he is? And is he always this bad tempered?" "Yes, he is indeed the swordsman champion in the battalion. He got great strength in his hits, your friend better watch out. He's not always like this, but he really hates orcs, just like our Lord Commander." Elgar goes over to the knight and asks "what do you think about orcs?" hoping he was not another racist Paldin Please specify which knight, there are 3 of them available to talk to.
Jedi master Brick Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Please specify which knight, there are 3 of them available to talk to. Opps! The one on the left
Etzel Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 Elgar goes over to the knight and asks "what do you think about orcs?" hoping he was not another racist Paldin "I don't hate all of them like our Lord Commander or the champion that your friend is fighting. I've met both kind and cruel orcs, your one doesn't seem very hostile so I'm fine with him."

Rest of party will be better at talking to prejudiced paladins... "Oh dear, what have I gotten myself into." "Let's just hope the Paladin Order won't be too mad at me for killing this fool." Tomas addresses the insolent Knight. "Listen here, you. We're supposed to be fighting whoever the hell was at the gates, not each other." "Now, I'm going to give you one chance to back down before I impale you on my staff. I won't consider you a coward if you do. Be sensible!" Just in case the knight says no, I will attack Champion Knight from the front row.
Jedi master Brick Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Elgar glad this knight was reasonable about orcs asked him. "do you know about any rare artifacts on the island?"

But when I was on duty in Duplovia I visited their Hall of Curios which was fantastic. You should really go there if you are interested in those things."
Tamamono Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 "Shit, it looks like his title definitely reflects on his abilities." "I think the best course of action here would be to heal myself."

The champion goes victorious from the battle. "Ha, that was even easier then I thought! What cheap kind of reinforcement you turned out to be, good thing we got real knights in the Order." The champion knight finishes his drink and then leaves the tavern. Tomas is lying spread out on the floor and slowly comes back to his senses. soccerkid6 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 "Well it seems he was quite skilled with the sword, however that is no excuse for his behavior." Turning to Cronk I ask, "Do you think we should go see if Leo is done talking to the commander?"
