soccerkid6 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 OOC: Etzel does the range 1-5 mean the first five in front of us or 1-5 on the actual diagram?
Etzel Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 OOC: Etzel does the range 1-5 mean the first five in front of us or 1-5 on the actual diagram? It means the first 5 in front of you. I was planning to have the numbers going from bottom and up so that it would be easier to understand but I must have screwed up. I'll have a new plan of the battlefield up shortly (if my computer cooperates with me). Remember that the companies will move before you hit your target. You can of course aim for one of the starting positions if you want to, but it's not a very good idea since that is the only place they definitely will not go to.

OOC: didn't realize that they moved first. On second thought Cronk think friends will aim at square C2. There are more sodliers in infantry. Maybe cavalry better dealt with by ballista. When more frineds join us next round party will target cavalry then.
soccerkid6 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I quickly aim and fire the catapult at C2
Etzel Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 OOC: didn't realize that they moved first. On second thought Cronk think friends will aim at square C2. There are more sodliers in infantry. Maybe cavalry better dealt with by ballista. When more frineds join us next round party will target cavalry then. I changed the battlefield plan now so the numbers go from the bottom to the top, so your target will be C7 now. Please note this change in the coordination system because it's this that will be used for the rest of the battle. Results of Round One of Battle of Tanco The enemy advances to these positions: Catapult vs. C7 - Special Damage Sir Glorfindel and Cronk tries to work the catapult but they are still quite inexperienced with siege weapons and the catapult doesn't fire. Tomas and Sir Leo comes running up to the battlements and will be ready to fight the next round. The enemy: Mercenary Infantry X Strength: 100/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Infantry Y Strength: 100/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Infantry Z Strength: 100/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Cavalry V Strength: 50/50 men Pace: 2 squares/round Mercenary Cavalry W Strength: 50/50 men Pace: 2 square/round The party: Cronk *Blessed* (Played by CorneliusMurdock) Level 14.5 Knight Power: 25 Health: 23/23 Gold: 181 Inventory: Zoot's Bane (Long Sword) (WP: 11, Light Damage, suitable for Cronk), Sword of Bashing (WP: 5), Mockthrill Shield (SP: 4), Potion (2), Bedroll, Pointy Stick (WP:1), Fire bomb Sir Glorfindel *Blessed* (Played by soccerkid6) Level 8 Knight Power: 11 Health: 17/17 Gold: 71 Inventory: Ringil a sword (hollow blade [potion], Ice Elemental WP:3),Pongcanis Shield (SP:3) equipped, Lion Shield (SP:2), Bedroll, Potion (3)(one in sword), Ice bomb, Fire bomb Sir Leo Aragon (Played by JediAnakin) Level 12 Knight Power: 19 Health: 21/21 Gold: 135 Inventory: Burning Draken Sword (WP:7, Fire elemental), Paladin Shield (SP:5), Potion (2), Bedroll, Shovel, Mead Elgar Gligin *Blessed* (Played by Jedi master Brick) Level 8 Ranger Power: 12 Health: 13/13 Gold: 109 Inventory: Mockthril crossbow (WP:4 Lightning elemental), Smoke bomb, Bedroll, Remedy (2), Orc venom, Potion (2), Ice bomb, Venom Tomas (Played by Captain Tamamoro) Level 14 Cleric Power: 20 Health: 23/23 Ether: 6/19 Gold: 200 Inventory:Shadeaux Staff (WP: 6), Gold Staff (WP: 4), Pongcanis Staff (WP: 5), 2 Potions, 3 Remedies, 2 Bedrolls, 1 Tonics, Bone, Grand Tonic, Fire Bomb, Shovel, Mead, Venom, Smoke Bomb, Topaz Elemental Gem, Smelling Salts, Common Axe (WP:5), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect) Siege weapons available to the party: Catapult Power: 80%-20% Range: 4-8 squares Minimum crew: 2 Manned by: Cronk, Sir Glorfindel Malfunctions: 1/3 Ballista Power: 80%-60% Range: 1-5 squares Minimum crew: 2 Manned by: Note: Elgar, who has a ranged weapon will be able to use it once the enemy in within the range of 1-2 squares. Please state which machine you want to operate and which square you want to target, or if you want to heal or use an item.
TheBoyWonder Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Me and Tomas will man the Ballista. C5 would work right?
Jedi master Brick Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 "Tomas, Leo Use the balista, I am the only one with a ranged weapon."
soccerkid6 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I will load the catapult for another shot, Cronk do you think B6 would be good to aim for?
TheBoyWonder Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I may not be the party leader but B6 is a good choice.
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 B6 is as good as any for catapult. Cronk and Glorfindel will aim it for B6. Tomas and Leo will operate ballista. Cronk think C5 will not be occupied, however. The cavalry would be stupid to use high movement to put self behind rock. Cronk think more likely for cavalry to move to D4. But Cronk will let Tomas or Leo choose the target. (Friends should bold for QM). Friend Gligan can prepare the archers and get self ready. Cavalry probably be here soon. OOC: I'm letting them choose their target. Otherwise I feel like it's just me playing and I think everyone should have a chance to participate.
Jedi master Brick Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Elgar will go over to the archers and tell them to get ready
TheBoyWonder Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I am not very good at this kind of thing. If Cronk thinks that is the right move. We fire the Ballista at square D4
Tamamono Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 "I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to siege weapons as well, so I think it would be best to follow Cronk's advice for this round."
Etzel Posted December 15, 2011 Author Posted December 15, 2011 OoC: Yes, please state your target by writing it in bold text when you have decided. Elgar goes over to the archers that are joining the heroes on the wall. Archers of the Paladin Order Power: 40%-20% Range: 1-2 The Paladin Order is not just knights in shiny armour, there are footsoldiers like the Soldiers of the Light and archers as well. These archers are well trained and can do much damage to the enemy as long as they are protected from any harm. If too many enemies get a stand on the battlements, the archers will retreat to be able to fight another day. 1. SHIELD: Rain of Arrows - the archers releases a rain of arrows which forces the enemy's archers to take cover and unable to do damage to the heroes the next round. 2. CRITICAL HIT: Hits the target, taking away 40% of its strength. 3. HIT: Hits the target, taking away 20% of its strength. 4. MISS: No hits. 5. DAMAGE: Any hero on the battlement that is not controlling one of the machines gets hit by the enemy archers, taking away 1/3 of their health. 6. SPECIAL DAMAGE: The enemy archers fires their own rain of arrows, forcing the Paladin Order's archers to take cover for the next round. One of the archers turn to Elgar as he approaches. "Sir, please serve as our commander during the battle. Your experience will be much needed." The archers are now commanded by Elgar. Results of Round Two of Battle of Tanco The enemy advances to these positions: Catapult vs. B6 - Miss Ballista vs. D4 - Damage Cronk and Glorfindel continues to struggle with the catapult and the stones miss their original target and instead lands on A6 where no enemies are hurt. Tomas and Leo are busy aiming the ballista and doesn't notice how the enemy archers are firing upon them and get hits, losing 7 resp. 2 health each. The enemy: Mercenary Infantry X Strength: 100/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Infantry Y Strength: 100/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Infantry Z Strength: 100/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Cavalry V Strength: 50/50 men Pace: 2 squares/round Mercenary Cavalry W Strength: 50/50 men Pace: 2 square/round The party: Cronk *Blessed* (Played by CorneliusMurdock) Level 14.5 Knight Power: 25 Health: 23/23 Gold: 181 Inventory: Zoot's Bane (Long Sword) (WP: 11, Light Damage, suitable for Cronk), Sword of Bashing (WP: 5), Mockthrill Shield (SP: 4), Potion (2), Bedroll, Pointy Stick (WP:1), Fire bomb Sir Glorfindel *Blessed* (Played by soccerkid6) Level 8 Knight Power: 11 Health: 17/17 Gold: 71 Inventory: Ringil a sword (hollow blade [potion], Ice Elemental WP:3),Pongcanis Shield (SP:3) equipped, Lion Shield (SP:2), Bedroll, Potion (3)(one in sword), Ice bomb, Fire bomb Sir Leo Aragon (Played by JediAnakin) Level 12 Knight Power: 19 Health: 19/21 Gold: 135 Inventory: Burning Draken Sword (WP:7, Fire elemental), Paladin Shield (SP:5), Potion (2), Bedroll, Shovel, Mead Elgar Gligin *Blessed* (Played by Jedi master Brick) Level 8 Ranger Power: 12 Health: 13/13 Gold: 109 Inventory: Mockthril crossbow (WP:4 Lightning elemental), Smoke bomb, Bedroll, Remedy (2), Orc venom, Potion (2), Ice bomb, Venom Tomas (Played by Captain Tamamoro) Level 14 Cleric Power: 20 Health: 16/23 Ether: 6/19 Gold: 200 Inventory:Shadeaux Staff (WP: 6), Gold Staff (WP: 4), Pongcanis Staff (WP: 5), 2 Potions, 3 Remedies, 2 Bedrolls, 1 Tonics, Bone, Grand Tonic, Fire Bomb, Shovel, Mead, Venom, Smoke Bomb, Topaz Elemental Gem, Smelling Salts, Common Axe (WP:5), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect) Siege weapons available to the party:[/i] Catapult Power: 80%-20% Range: 4-8 squares Minimum crew: 2 Manned by: Cronk, Sir Glorfindel Malfunctions: 1/3 Ballista Power: 80%-60% Range: 1-5 squares Minimum crew: 2 Manned by:
Jedi master Brick Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 "Hold fire archers at the moment, none of them are in our range" OoC: Do I get to shoot aswell
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Cronk not like big seige weapons. Give Cronk up close bashing any day. Cronk and Glorfindel will try B6 again. Friends gotta score hit some time, right? Tomas and Leo, use best judgment. Cavalry appear tricky. But remember cavalry move two spaces.
Tamamono Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Tomas grunts as he removes an arrow from his knee. Tomas and Leo, use best judgment. Cavalry appear tricky. But remember cavalry move two spaces. "Will do, Cronk. Cavalry W (on the far right hand side) has the least options of where to go. They can go to H3, F4 or F5, so I think we should definitely try for Cavalry W this round. Leo, do you have any preference of which square we aim for? I'm kind of leaning towards H3, but we should definitely try to agree on one."
TheBoyWonder Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 We fire the Ballista at square H3. I do not think there is a better choice.
Etzel Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 "Hold fire archers at the moment, none of them are in our range" OoC: Do I get to shoot aswell OoC: you are part of the archer squad now, so when they attack you are included in that. Results of Round Three of Battle of Tanco The enemy advances to these positions: Catapult vs. B6 - Shield Ballista vs. H3 - Miss Tomas and Sir Leo fires the ballista but the wind takes the arrow and it lands besides the cavalry company, doing no damage. Cronk and Glorfindel however have finally managed to understand the principles of the catapult and loads it with several large stones and sends them flying through the air. The stones spread nicely and lands all over the sixth row. The infantry companies X and Y gets hit and are reduced to only 40 men each. The enemy: Mercenary Infantry X Strength: 40/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Infantry Y Strength: 40/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Infantry Z Strength: 100/100 men Pace: 1 square/round Mercenary Cavalry V Strength: 50/50 men Pace: 2 squares/round Mercenary Cavalry W Strength: 50/50 men Pace: 2 square/round The party: Cronk *Blessed* (Played by CorneliusMurdock) Level 14.5 Knight Power: 25 Health: 23/23 Gold: 181 Inventory: Zoot's Bane (Long Sword) (WP: 11, Light Damage, suitable for Cronk), Sword of Bashing (WP: 5), Mockthrill Shield (SP: 4), Potion (2), Bedroll, Pointy Stick (WP:1), Fire bomb Sir Glorfindel *Blessed* (Played by soccerkid6) Level 8 Knight Power: 11 Health: 17/17 Gold: 71 Inventory: Ringil a sword (hollow blade [potion], Ice Elemental WP:3),Pongcanis Shield (SP:3) equipped, Lion Shield (SP:2), Bedroll, Potion (3)(one in sword), Ice bomb, Fire bomb Sir Leo Aragon (Played by JediAnakin) Level 12 Knight Power: 19 Health: 19/21 Gold: 135 Inventory: Burning Draken Sword (WP:7, Fire elemental), Paladin Shield (SP:5), Potion (2), Bedroll, Shovel, Mead Elgar Gligin *Blessed* (Played by Jedi master Brick) Level 8 Ranger Power: 12 Health: 13/13 Gold: 109 Inventory: Mockthril crossbow (WP:4 Lightning elemental), Smoke bomb, Bedroll, Remedy (2), Orc venom, Potion (2), Ice bomb, Venom Tomas (Played by Captain Tamamoro) Level 14 Cleric Power: 20 Health: 16/23 Ether: 6/19 Gold: 200 Inventory:Shadeaux Staff (WP: 6), Gold Staff (WP: 4), Pongcanis Staff (WP: 5), 2 Potions, 3 Remedies, 2 Bedrolls, 1 Tonics, Bone, Grand Tonic, Fire Bomb, Shovel, Mead, Venom, Smoke Bomb, Topaz Elemental Gem, Smelling Salts, Common Axe (WP:5), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect) Siege weapons available to the party:[/i] Catapult Power: 80%-20% Range: 4-8 squares Minimum crew: 2 Manned by: Cronk, Sir Glorfindel Malfunctions: 1/3 Ballista Power: 80%-60% Range: 1-5 squares Minimum crew: 2 Manned by:
Tamamono Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 "Well, at least we chose the right spot." "Cavalry W can only go to squares H1, G1, G2, F2, or F1. So there's a 1 in 5 chance of us choosing the right square. I think we should go for either H1 or G1, but I've got a feeling about G1. What say you, Leo?"
soccerkid6 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Good work Cronk! Should we aim for cavalry now or infantry?
TheBoyWonder Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Wait, they can go diagonally? If not, they can't go G1 or the other spots. They can only go H1 or G2. I would be inclined H1.
Etzel Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 No diagonal moves, standard LEGO Games rules.
Tamamono Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 No diagonal moves, standard LEGO Games rules. "Well, that simplifies things!" "H1 it is, then!"
