Hello all

I have started design on a rather large pirate ship in MLCad with the goal of hopefully building it in real bricks someday.

The inspiration for it comes from a combination of the Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge (especially the cool lantern) LEGO sets as well as bricktrix' Flying Dutchman (I shamelessly ripped off part of the stern). I suppose the story for the ship is perhaps it is Black Bart Roberts ship if it were to star in another PoC sequel, that is there is an element of fantasy to the ship.

Below are some shots of the 3D model from MLCad so far. All of the main stylistic elements for one side of the ship are done. It sports 9 cannons per side plus 2 bowchasers and 2 sternchasers?

Any comments or feedback on the design are welcome. I don't want to get to far in to the messy part of connecting all of the elements and filling in the missing pieces before I realize there might have been some cool things I could add/change.

The figurehead part is really cool! I think the ship is looking very good!

The galleries are looking good, just like the flying dutchmans' galleries, too bad I don't have the parts to make them this way, the ship is looking great so far, it would be hard to get all the needed parts to build it in real though.

Looking good so far :pir-sweet:

The only thing I am not sure about are the skeletons and white lattice in the windows.

The ship is mostly dark (black and dark tan - i guess) and those white pieces are very contrasting.

Looking forward to your next update.
