Well Eric... Looks like you got the first Legitimate Black Vampire completed... I am still waiting for my Panels...

I think I am not the only one who was waiting to build it in black. I ordered lots of extra new black panels when I got mine and then listed them on Bricklink. They all sold within 30 minutes in pairs of 2, so I think lots of people around the world are waiting to build the Vampire!

By the way, mine is not quite perfect yet. I didn't use any blue pins. For the 3L pins I used all black and for the axle pins I used light gray. However, light gray axle pins do not have friction. Black friction pins do exist, but they are very rare. I used 8 of them in the places that need friction, but you can still see light gray poking out here and there. Ideally, I will eventually replace all of these with black.

I know that I had told you about this part before, but THIS may be an alternative for someone that is having problems finding the 19L flex axles... Or even THIS...

Hopefully Lego brings this part back out again... Who knows, maybe it will make a return in an off the wall non Technic set someday soon..

LOL... Yeah, there's always that too...

I even tried color dying silver and white flex axles, but they shrink before the temp reaches high enough for the dye to take full effect...

Finished! Had to use red 19L's. I don't have any black...yet. :classic:

I actually really like it with the red flew cables. It makes it have style! Now all you need is a a red EL wire to act as neon lighting underneath...

Thanks Tim. How about chrome rims? I like the red EL idea.

Ya know what would be really cool. Blue EL wire in the rims and red EL wire underneath  . I think red or regular chrome wheels would look awesome.

This is the black Vampire GT using 19L ribbed axles. These are a suitable substitution for the RARE, imposible to find, worth their weight in gold, regular 19L axles. :classic:

Looking good! Great tip! Thanks

Order for ribbed axles placed on Bricklink. Thanks again

I can't take the credit. Paul mentioned these as an alternative earlier in this thread. I just took his advice. I wanted to post the pic so people could "see" the part on the car. Thanks though.

I must have missed it

Thanks Paul!

I also received my chrome wheels yesterday. They look awesome.

As of yesterday they were pretty easy to find on BL. Maybe these will become scarce too. :hmpf_bad:

I haven't ordered my chrome wheels yet. Soon....

Please don't post images that big...

Looking good! Great tip! Thanks

...and please don't quote images, especially if they are too big!

In the process of gathering parts....

Besides the 19L Black flex axles that has substitutes, I'm having a hard time getting Black Technic Bushes. :sceptic: Will probably end up using a Sharpie over regular bushes till they become more available.

Black bushings are hard to get. Try looking at European sellers. I'm almost out and I don't think Crowkillers has many left either. :hmpf_bad: That's how rare they are.

There was a seller on Bricklink from Germany who had well over 200 black Bushings in his store at a modest price and another seller with over 150 and shortly after my instructions were released, someone bought all of them up in one shot from each store... Not saying that there was a definite connection, but I wouldn't doubt if someone was trying to corner the market on them...

Someone also recently had 100 of them for 24 cents a piece... That was a steal on those rare pieces...

The seller with the highest quantity now has 100... At $1.00 each... :hmpf_bad:

Was also the case when Blakbird released your Murcielago mpd and the whole shortage on Yellow #4 connectors. My car is still missing them but at least they're somewhat available compared to just a few months back.

This time should be better though, since the bushes aren't as rare as the aforementioned part...

I was also going to mention that specific part as well... It is crazy what people have sold(and are asking) for that piece now...
