And as for Hoptet's healing, I just went along with what was posted, call me lazy :P "This just isn't my day!" Battle Order Cinna Thothwick Thormanil Bartholomew Hoptet Cinna: attacking Red Dawn with Darkness from back row. OOC: The special attack for the chicken legs, does it ignore rows and always do full 20 damage?
Sandy Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 OoC: Chick Kick does not ignore rows. It would say so if it did. The attack will cause 10 damage plus stun to anyone in the back row. Thothwick is damaged by the Giant Chicken Leg on the right for 15 damage. Meanwhile, the other leg kicks Thormanil, causing 20 damage and stunning the barbarian for the next round. Bartholomew gets a good shot at Red Dawn, decreasing her health by 27 points. Hoptet also scores a hit, but only dealing 10 damage to the right-side chicken leg since he is on the back row. Professor Flitwick Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) [i'll heal Thormanil. You'd be doing more damage than Thothwick next turn, so we'd best get you back to full health. Sorry Thothwick] "I understand Hopet. I would've asked you to heal Mr. Nihai had you tried to heal me. I'm not down yet, and I shall attack Giant Chicken Leg (Left) from the front row with my Sabre!" swils Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Knocked to the ground by the powerful kick, Thormanil tries to rise to his feet while the world seems to spin around him. Struggling just to see straight and cursing his luck, he manages to get himself off the ground, but can make it no farther than a wobbling kneel. He would gladly offer a potion from his pack to his injured friend, but he doesn't even know which of the many Metasimians orbiting around him is the real Thothwick. While trying to focus on the rogue, he is beset with an awful feeling of nausea. Perhaps it would be best if he just sat here and waited for the shock to wear off.
Darkdragon Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Battle Order Cinna Hoptet Thothwick Thormanil Bartholomew Cinna: attacking Red Dawn with Darkness from back row. OOC: Ah thanks!
Sandy Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 OoC: Edited the results, since Hoptet's successful nurturing allowed Thormanil to attack after all. But I think this was a worse option for poor Thormy... Hoptet nurtures Thormanil with care, restoring him to full health and removing his stunned status. Thothwick hits the left-side chicken leg for 19 damage. The right leg kicks the recovered Thormanil again, sending him back to the state he was before Hoptet's intervention. Red Dawn tries to attack Bartholomew, but his hat scares her away (OoC: I really have to do something about that hat...). Three enemies still remain. Thormanil is stunned again. [i apologise, Thormanil, but I'm afraid I can't afford to keep healing people when the battle continues on. I must attack Giant Chicken Leg (Left) from the front row with my Quarterstaff]
swils Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 The party can just barely make out a faint muttering from their barbarian friend, knocked on his big behind again. It almost sounds as though he is saying "Roll hacks" over and over, though this phrase is likely just some inane pairing of words, resulting from the abuse he has suffered this battle.

Reviving Thothwick is a better long-term solution. We shouldn't be able to finish the battle this Round anyways, so this way, we'll have an extra hero in the Round after when we can attempt to finish off the enemies.
