The_Customizer Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Ouch, we really took some casualties. I shall attack Automaton Beta from the back row. I think we should have 1 person attack each of the automatons, but everyone else attack just one, so we can eliminate them much faster!
ADHO15 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Ouch, we really took some casualties. I shall attack Automaton Beta from the back row. I think we should have 1 person attack each of the automatons, but everyone else attack just one, so we can eliminate them much faster! "Well we cannot attack them all, because we will wake the sleeping robot. I shall attack Tritech Automaton Gamma from the back row with Wood, for a change, seeing as none of my gems give me stronger power over these machines."
JimBee Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 "Then I'll attack Automaton Delta from the front row." Hybros knew that no matter which row he fought from, he'd be KO'd if the machine managed to get a hit on him. Bracing himself for impact, he knew he'd go down for the team.
The_Customizer Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 "Well we cannot attack them all, because we will wake the sleeping robot. Well, I mean, the 3 awake. And since those are all covered already, someone should heal Hybros, and everyone else that is available could help attack Automaton Beta (as it is the weakest)
Etzel Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Well, I mean, the 3 awake. And since those are all covered already, someone should heal Hybros, and everyone else that is available could help attack Automaton Beta (as it is the weakest) "I think I'm the only one with healing abilities in this party so I'm afraid Hybros has to trust his luck this round. But Christopher and our party leader would be able to go for Automaton Beta (once Eric is healed). Or, one of them could target Automaton Delta and Hybros could drink a potion."
Fred Fred Burger Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Takingout the weakest one first makes sense so I'll attack Automaton beta from the front row.
Khorne Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Eric roared as the automaton carved him up. Blood gashed out of the wounds and ran into his eyes. The Nord was close to going down. It seemed that even his trusty Godricsleif had let him down. Only barely being able to stand on his legs, Eric prepared to attack automaton Beta. Eric will attack automaton B, using Godricsleif from the front row. Battle order: Ad-Hoh Christopher Maurice Eric Erdathcath Hybros
JimBee Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 "Right then," said Hybros changing his mind. "I'll drink a potion from the back row." Hybros continues his attack from the front row, not wanting to endanger Ad-Hoh with a free hit. OoC: So bombs don't prevent free hits... does the same go for Magic Bursts and Battle Frenzies?
Sandy Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 OoC: So bombs don't prevent free hits... does the same go for Magic Bursts and Battle Frenzies? OoC: Yes, all enemies that are not targetted (even if they do get damaged) will get a Free Hit. Results of Round Two of the Automaton Battle: >Ad-Hoh (Wood) vs. Automaton Gamma - Miss Christopher vs. Automaton Beta - Shield (Sentinel) >Maurice heals Eric - Shield (Miracle) Eric vs. Automaton Beta - Miss >Erdathcath vs. Automaton Beta - Special Damage Hybros vs. Automaton Delta - Shield (Mug) The battle continues with one of the automatons enchanted to slumber. Ad-Hoh tries to summon up wood-elemental magic, but fails. Christopher takes upon the Sentinel-stance, protecting the party from damage for the next round. The Light that Reveals Everything blesses Maurice with a miracle that restores up to 19 health to the party. Eric's mighty swing misses, and Automaton Beta gets a chance to use Tri-Dazer on Erdathcath, causing 5 damage and temporarily reducing her power by 5. Hybros mugs the fourth Automaton for 42 damage while gaining 42 gold. Automaton Alpha sleeps for another two rounds unless woken up by an attack. The battle continues with all four enemies still standing. The_Customizer Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Ouch! That really hurt... I shall continue attacking Automaton Beta from the Back Row. We shall be victorious! (I hope)
Etzel Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 "I feel both lucky and blessed! I will attack Automaton Delta from the front row!"
ADHO15 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Ad-Hoh repeats his attack. "Have faith and persevere, team! We can win this!"
JimBee Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 With Christopher's shield and Maurice's miracle, combined with Hybros' good luck, the imp saw the chance to deal serious damage to the strange creatures. "I'll attack the Tritech Automaton Gamma from the front row!"
Khorne Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Eric usually calm demeanour was slowly ebbing away. Frustrated with the lack of results his attacks were yielding the imposing Nord cried out in anger. His mighty roar was piercing. Impulsively, Eric untied the Pirate Chief's head, which was still dangling at his belt, and threw it on the ground. It seems the gods didn't seem to care about his fate at all. Brutishly the Barbarian landed his heavy boot on the head, splattering it all over the place. Disappointed by his trusty sword, Eric took out Grom'az once more. Hopefully the axe would stand by his side in this battle. Concentrated, Eric charged once more at the enemy. Eric will attack Automaton Beta from the front row using the Twin Axe. Battle order: Ad-Hoh Eric Christopher Erdathcath Hybros Maurice
Sandy Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Results of Round Three of the Automaton Battle: >Ad-Hoh (Wood) vs. Automaton Gamma - Miss Eric (Twin Axe) vs. Automaton Beta - Damage Christopher vs. Automaton Delta - Hit >Erdathcath vs. Automaton Beta - Damage Hybros vs. Automaton Gamma - Critical Hit Maurice (lucky) vs. Automaton Delta - Miss/Damage The party is protected by Christopher's Sentinel during this round. This prevents Automaton Beta from hurting both Eric and Erdathcath. Ad-Hoh's spell misses the target, but Christopher scores a hit against Automaton Delta, dealing 20 damage. Hybros sees this and raises the bet by damaging Automaton Gamma for 32 points of health. Tritech Automaton Alpha will sleep for the next turn unless it is attacked. Etzel Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 "I will cast a new spell of sleep on Automaton Alpha from the back row." "No wait, that would be unnecessary. I will do that next round instead. This round I will attack Automaton Delta from the front row."
The_Customizer Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Well, that went wonderfully. I shall attack Automaton Beta once again. Perhaps after Automaton Alpha wakes up, we should just bomb them out? If we all throw bombs that are strong against them, we may be able to take them out.
Khorne Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Oh, for crying out loud! Why am I even still bothering to try to attack? Eric's mounting frustration could no longer be kept inside and was clearly affecting his results. Eric will attack Automaton Beta from the front row, using the Twin Axe. Battle order: Ad-Hoh Eric Christopher Erdathcath Hybros Maurice
ADHO15 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Ad-Hoh shall repeat his attack again in the hopes that he will actually hit something.
Etzel Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Perhaps after Automaton Alpha wakes up, we should just bomb them out? If we all throw bombs that are strong against them, we may be able to take them out. "We only have two Lightning Bombs left, that would only do 20 damage. I think it's best if we concentrate on these three Automatons until they're out or close to. I can keep the first one asleep a bit longer."
JimBee Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Hybros retreats to the back row, drawing his throwing knife and throwing it at Automaton Gamma.
Sandy Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 OoC: Sorry guys, the die is not on your side at the moment... Results of Round Four of the Automaton Battle: >Ad-Hoh (Wood) vs. Automaton Gamma - Damage Eric (Twin Axe) vs. Automaton Beta - Special Damage Christopher vs. Automaton Delta - Special Damage >Erdathcath vs. Automaton Beta - Hit Hybros (Throwing Knife) vs. Automaton Gamma - Special Damage Maurice vs. Automaton Delta - Damage/Miss The battle takes a turn for the worse as the effects of Christopher's Sentinel wear out. Tritech Automaton Gamma attacks Ad-Hoh for 10 damage. Eric gets zapped by Automaton Beta's Tri-Dazer, losing 5 health and 5 power. Christopher is also hit by a Tri-Dazer, but due to his shield he only takes 1 damage but loses 5 power as well. Erdathcath manages to get a shot at Automaton Beta, hitting it for the reduced 12 damage. Automaton Gamma uses Tri-Dazer on Hybros who also loses 5 power and suffers 5 damage. Maurice misses his attack, despite being under the influence of the nostrum. Automaton Alpha wakes up and rejoins the battle in the next round. All four enemies still remain. The_Customizer Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Well, i think it is time to put 2 of them to sleep, we can do that, right? Or perhaps, we should bomb them all, and then put two of them to sleep, so we can get more damage done.

But the bombs might be a good idea since we can't seem to hit them. Go ahead and throw some and I can go last and put Automaton Alpha at sleep from the back row."
The_Customizer Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Oh, ok. Technically, shouldn't a ice bomb freeze them? If so, I'll throw a Ice Bomb from the Back Row.
