Posted November 25, 201113 yr Hello This is my new MOC. It shows evolution of one church in three stages in time. I have built it for Colossal Castle Contest IX. Brickshelf flickr Past: Present: Future: I hope you like it!
November 25, 201113 yr Excellent work 'thire5', pity in the future things appear to really fall apart eh ? Avalonia Forever !
November 25, 201113 yr That's a great MOC, i like the past, present, future style build. I love the scaffolding.
November 25, 201113 yr What a stunning build! I like the blue safety nets around one of the towers! How did you build it? With the future first or did you tear down that magnificent church to the future look?
November 25, 201113 yr That is awesome. It is a gorgeous church to start with, but the evolution has been done brilliantly. Love the scaffolding idea for the restoration in the second photo, and the third 'future' photo is just brilliant. You can see that some time went into these three MOCs, all the details are just perfect.
November 25, 201113 yr This is outstanding!!! Quite simply outstanding!!!! I love the scafolding and curtains around it as well as the weathered look of the future church. Great build!
November 25, 201113 yr I love the scafolding and curtains around it as well as the weathered look of the future church. ...I agree...what a great idea, and great execution. Everything is great...the sculpting of the arches, black roof, decay...wonderful!!
November 25, 201113 yr Oh dear, that's really bad The future that is, how can people let things get so bad This is a great piece of work, every stage has been well thought out and there are some great techniques on display. The church looks excellent and so does the landscape, but my favorite part has to be the scaffolding, this really caught my eye and is a great detail. Well done, this is excellent
November 25, 201113 yr Very cool. Nice distraction from all the guild stuff. I really like the old church best.
November 25, 201113 yr Is the last before or after the Apes take over? :) This was awesome! Part of me would like to think you built all three at once, and that they all still exist - but I am guessing that is not the truth. I really like the evolution, its something I don't recall seeing before.
November 25, 201113 yr You will earn yourself a tag sometime soon! What an excellent evolution process, splendid! Especially the future stage is very well done. I just can't believe you dared to demolish the church for this cause. Job very well done!
November 25, 201113 yr Beautifully detailed! Also a little surprising, I was expecting a space age church at the end.
November 27, 201113 yr Absolutely gorgeous work. I loved how you put it in the three separate time references. Lots of great details in here. I particularly like the arches.
November 28, 201113 yr Author Thank you all for nice comments How did you build it? With the future first or did you tear down that magnificent church to the future look? Stages one and two contain exactly the same church. The third stage is completely reconstructed. Part of me would like to think you built all three at once, and that they all still exist - but I am guessing that is not the truth. Unfortunately you are right At this moment all three stages are already dismantled. Beautifully detailed! Also a little surprising, I was expecting a space age church at the end. The space age church was my first idea, but then I choosed post-apocalypse.
November 28, 201113 yr Incredible work Thire5! The second picture is great ...but the third one is T-O-T-A-L-L-Y COOL!!! Awesome idea! Edited November 28, 201113 yr by LEGO Train 12 Volts
November 28, 201113 yr Wow! I really like your church facade. You seem to have understood the gothic style very well. The portal in particular is very gothic. Maybe some day there will be a complete church?
November 29, 201113 yr Great church. Brilliant detail. I love how there is a past present and future photo. I like how in the future one it's all wrecked. Good work.
November 29, 201113 yr This is awesome! Just out of curiosity, how did you make the blue part of the scaffolding? Is it solid bricks or what?
December 2, 201113 yr Author Thank you This is awesome! Just out of curiosity, how did you make the blue part of the scaffolding? Is it solid bricks or what? These are the plastic solar panels from the 7471 Mars Exploration Rover
