I love that new fire station! *wub* I'm going to get five of them. Or at least one, but really...WOWOW!!!! 8- Quote
sam89 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I've re-uploaded it at a bit lower quality, but there is now a hoverboat on the right hand side that had been cut off. Quote

snefroe Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I've re-uploaded it at a bit lower quality, but there is now a hoverboat on the right hand side that had been cut off. i'd suggest you put this on the mainpage Sam no doubt these sets will sell, but they remind me of the city sets in the late 90's: a bit <insert that tiresome argument>, a bit too simple, not as stylish as the first fire truck, for instance. don't think i'll be buying these Quote
Steff Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 it looks like a german catalog for seller. i hope we see more pics ;) i bought tody the police station, welcome back for the old city theme, and hopefully more civil sets, like the seaport ;) good night Quote

Real Garage doors! Skylights! Hooray for parts monkeys! Quote
highlandcattle Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 You guys are forgetting that this looks like real legoland scale and not the nasty city scale!! Quote
prateek Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Here's a pic (that I joined together) of the new City Fire Fighter sets:http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/sam89/2007/city2.jpg NICE!!!!!!!! *y* *y* Quote
DoubleT Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Ahh great find Sam Its good that Lego give us a great FireStation instead of the silly one some years ago.. Btw is that a new Window shield i see in the pickup truck? very round, looks great... Quote
phoinix Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 finally some new city pictures!! i will have to agree the scale is pretty good and its a lot better than the last one! still there are some flaws.. like the side oft he building dosent have windows like this one http://brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=6389-1 and i think the new set is a <insert that tiresome argument> version of this one... i really like the cars!! it could be worst..i like the fact there are some flowers and a tree..a little green is important!! the whole backround and set up reminds me of past days of lego! (and thats great) i think these sets will sell very very well!! Quote
Zarkan Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Its good that Lego give us a great FireStation instead of the silly one some years ago.. I can't understand why everyone thinks it was silly. I mean, it may have been small. but it looked pretty good and had some nice details and parts. It certainly was much better than the last 3 firestations we got! (The Town Junior, City Center, and Jack Stone versions all came before that, and they all were crud!). Besides, you weren't really expecting TLC to release a 69.99 USD Police Station and Firestation at the same time, were you? ;-) Quote
Commander Wolf Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 1) I'm impressed that TLC is using those rolling garage doors on the fire station. I haven't seen those since the mid 90's. 2) There's a little diagram next to the hovercraft showing arrows pointing all over the place. What is that diagram trying to tell us? Quote
moom Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 1) I'm impressed that TLC is using those rolling garage doors on the fire station. I haven't seen those since the mid 90's.Roller door elements have been in production again since about 2004, for set #10159 - LEGO City Airport, a slightly altered re-issue of set #6597 - Century Skyway from year 19942) There's a little diagram next to the hovercraft showing arrows pointing all over the place. What is that diagram trying to tell us?The text underneath says "Farht in alle richtungen" -> "drives in all directions", so my guess is it refers to some kind of stearing feature, although i'm not 100% sure. It could be only turnable wheels as well. Quote
gusmoore17 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 :-D AN AWESOME GREAT UNEXPECTED STEP UP FOR THE CITY SETS!!!!!!! *wub* this firestation ROCKS!!! Is like the ones from early 90's!!!! Wuiiii *y* Quote
dunamis Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Wow! I don't normally give the city sets a second look (except for the occasional set for my daughter) but those look really good! I especially like the fire station and fire boat. Must resist the temptation to start another LEGO product line.... Quote
Grrr Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 That fire station looks like it will be a nice parts pack. My town already has a 6389, but this can be rebuilt nicely into yet another generic red building. The vehicles are ok, but in all reality I prefer the smaller ones of previous years. (The trucks of the late 80's to early 90's have yet to be beaten imho). The windows and garage doors will never go amiss, and the 33 Quote
snefroe Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 what i do like about the station is the lavatory at the side, and sure, the garage doors deserve a warm welcome *sweet* ; i was also hoping for some new minifig heads, but they look just like the older ones :'-) ... hm... maybe i will be the station, if it's not too expensive... Quote
xwingyoda Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Tks Sam for this great find ;-) Those city sets are superb and clearly indicates that the next wave will be fantastic !! The pick up truck is really nice and can be easilly moded for a city car ;-) And TT, I do think that it looks like a new windshield (way rounder on the side) The Hovercraft seems odd but nice Finally a great firestation *wub* Its classic and simple !! I can't believe the re-intro of those sliding garage doors *wub* The 2 vehicles are really nice and its great to have more silver helmets ;-) Way to go TLC !! *yoda* Quote
alex54 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 thanks Sam, you make my day! This fire station is so wonderfull *wub* It has a modern style with an old school touch (garage doors, trans roof part...), so I think it will be a success for the new generation and also the AFOL community. It is a good way for TLC! I will buy it and make my new old one (the 2005 version) something else. The trucs and cars are good too, and the overcraft, maybe yes, but not for the fire... But it is a good base for a moc. I'm so happy to see that! :'-) It sounds like the other city sets will be good too! A new golden year for TLC? Maybe... Quote
Norro Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Wow! Lego is really taking a step up (or back to the old, depending on how you look at it ;-) ). That firestation looks brilliant... bley...mumble..mumble.... God Bless, Nathan Quote
Robiwan Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 The Firestation and the Pick up lokks great. *wub* But the hovercraft looks not real. It looks like a scifi vehicle. :-X The Firestation had great details like the garage doors. And I like the white lights by the fire truck and the pick up. It looks more real like the yellow. :-) Quote
natelite Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Wow! I don't normally give the city sets a second look (except for the occasional set for my daughter) but those look really good! I especially like the fire station and fire boat. Must resist the temptation to start another LEGO product line.... lol...you don't want to know how many lines i've since diverge from my original intention of EF and SW only. let's see.... batman, city, creator, dino attack, vikings, classic castle, KK2, pirates. and the bad thing with me is that i refuse to break down any set into parts pack. argh!!! and i keep picking up sets as long as it's cheaper than retail. :-/ i think i just gotta stop looking at sets... stop temptation at the source! :-P Quote
xenologer Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 hmmmh looks nice Is that a new windscreen on the Fire Pickup truck? or a very old one? I wonder whats going on with the little picture of the hovercraft with all the arrows on it... maybe they're trying to say that it has wheels underneath and it can move any direction? Quote
