Hobbes Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Oh, well in that case those sets are so crappy that I will completely ignore them and say that I am very happy that lego has dumped all those multiple Police and Fire Rescue sets in the City Landfill built and sealed by a dumptruck and a garbage truck and used it for the foundation of the seaport. Well, those two were old sets. If the new sets look anything like the firetruck, the ambulance, or the Heavy Loader I can't wait to see pictures of the sea port. I hope it will be along the classic line, as opposed to the new City theme. Lego has another chance to do this right. I don't think they created City and all the sets in the past two years to create something different now. So I think it'll definitely fit the City theme. Quote
highlandcattle Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I think this is the first cement mixer and garbage truck Lego has made Nope, there were a garbage truck and cement mixer in the past. Looooong time ago. sne mentioned them here. There has been another garbage truck aswell from the <insert that tiresome argument> days It look pretty cool except for the big weels and no roof Quote

I have the same feeling with this period, the city dark age of TLC... There are quite a lot of pretty sets to like the bank building or the shell promotional sets (whic i just bought secondhand for 15 euros). But for some bizarre reason all the cars had monstertruckwheels and no roofs. I call it the age of the convertible! Quote
alex54 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I prefer the old red and yellow one. Just hope that the new one will be better with a green color scheme Quote
Hun Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 I heard that there are no Knights Kingdom sets in the 2007 dealers' catalog. Can someone in the know confirm or deny this? Quote
vahkimetru Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 The MTT was in ep 3 in the hanger scene behind the Super Battle Droids that walk into the hanger. Quote

mutley777 Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 And still no pirate sets...yuck... surely with pirates of the caribbean so big at the moment, it would be a great time for a new pirate line. Quote
oo7 Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 According to Brickset; *7990 (Cement-mixer Truck) is non-existant *7991 what was first called a Refuse Truck is now called a recycling truck *7992 (Containers) is non-existant *7993 what was first called a Gas Station is now called a fuel tanker *7994 what was first called a Sea Port is now called a cargo sea port *7998 what was first called a Large Working Truck is now called a big truck I kind of hoped that 7994 would de a non-commercial dock with a fishery, but I'm sure this will be amazing nonetheless. You Believe in what you want. PLUG - Portuguese Lego User Group have the pricing table for Jan-Jun 2007, and that set's exist. The lunch date in Portugal is June. The names in Farrusco post are an free translation from Portuguese, so it can be badly. In Portuguese the names are: 7990 Cami Quote
L'Exocet Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I think a fuel tanker (ship) and a big rig would make sense, especially with the forthcoming cargo sea port and this year's cargo train - it's the city cargo theme! We'll probably see a new ship hull, and I'd think those containers might be a complete new design, too... Personally I really look forward on what LEGO will throw us, so far 2007 seems like a very good (if somewhat expensive) year. Even the horribly named Aquaraiders look good, if you strip the arsenal of harpoons from them... Definately potential for city-moc diving theme! By the way, has anyone else noticed this neat follow up thing TLC has now made - first there is Duplo pirates, followed by System divers exploring the sunken treasures? I think that's so cool, kind of a continuing story. Quote
Janus Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Wow, I FINALLY found out how to log in again. I haven't been able to for months because I kept using "Janus" as my log in name instead of the actual one. I'm very excited for 07. With the more classic look of the new Fire Station, I think we can expect great things from this new batch of City. Quote

Scouty Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Well we can hope for an Ep 3 JSF (Utapau version) and MTT (the MTT is also on Ep3 according to the SW.com's databank). Those can be sweet redesigns !! This is kinda off topic but just want to point out that when Anakin and Obi-Wan slide into General Grievous's flagship's hull, you can see it in the corner, or when the ship starts going down, I'm at least 100% Sure it's in the hull of that ship! THe new lego sets are awsome, I, like usual, may buy them all. X-D Quote
Janus Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Jinzo: Obra means Work. The title does literally translate into Big Work Truck. Quote
