jonfett Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 This is a new set for 2005, similar to the old community workers set (9293) but this set has new minifigs including train drivers, police and firemen. It is already on s@h - http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=9247&cn=22&d=7&t=3 Jon.
Orlego Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 This is a great set. I love all of the train workers. I just wish Lego didn't charge $35.00 for it. I also hate this... "Sorry, item is not available in this country." :'(

ImperialJohn Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Why are you complaining?!?!?!?! Danes pay 427,50 DKR equels 71$ or 42
Jipay Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 I hate the "this item is not available in your country" thing. I'm just not used to it. A shame that the firefighters are not the new ones :( But I think i'll pick one box asap :)

Jipay Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Actually from what I've seen Canada is by far the best plac to buy LEGO...
Orlego Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Actually from what I've seen Canada is by far the best plac to buy LEGO... Yeah, it does seem that way. And Canada also got the sweet 2,000 piece bucket. |-/ ;)
ImperialJohn Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 I will never understand that. I would think that Lego would be the cheapest there. A bad combination of low competition and high taxes :^^D
Jipay Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Whereas Canada is the country of megablock and has low taxes *devil*
Jipay Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 *wacko* We do have such a bucket ? Can someone gimme the link ?
Orlego Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 *wacko* We do have such a bucket ? Can someone gimme the link ? Yeah, I can't find the link, but Canada had a 2000 piece bucket for like $20-$25. From what I understand most stores are now sold out. I hope it was a test and the test performed well so we will get it in the US. :D
Jipay Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Well for european countries which use the Euro currency they are getting way better. Some sets in Europe are now cheaper than in canada so that's great !
Vader Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 "Item not avalible in this country" has to be every legos worst fear :( I wonder what it would cost to pick these figs up seperatly on bricklink???
ImperialJohn Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 As for Denmark, that price is ridiculous! I would have thought you would only have to pay half of what we pay since you are in Lego Country. Havent DoubleT told you about the wonderful tax system in Denmark *wacko*
queenie Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Why are you complaining?!?!?!?!Danes pay 427,50 DKR equels 71$ or 42
Jipay Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 How true my friend ! We should learn to enjoy what we have, but you know we only complain so lego can make it better :) Look how everyone's enjoying the 2005 year so far :)
DoubleT Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Yes good thing to look positiv at things jipay..... But maybe imperialjohn and me would be even happier if we could afford more sets ;) You do get to have more sets then we do ;)
ImperialJohn Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 If the price was right I would spend more on new sets. But now I'm always waiting for discounts.
LegoVervoerBouwer Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 take a look at the price of that stuf ,wow :/
ThomasBrickheim Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 wel, if you don't mention the prize, it is quite a nice set. it's better then the older communityworkers-set, more up to date, newer minifigs. If i had a town, i would buy this set.
Orlego Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 wel, if you don't mention the prize, it is quite a nice set. it's better then the older communityworkers-set, more up to date, newer minifigs. If i had a town, i would buy this set. It is also great that both sets are available. Now you are not limited with one set of people if you need a bunch to fill up a city. I have to say that my city features a ton of twins. ;)
Lord_Of_The_LEGO Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Why does the Snap figure from LEGO Island have a ponytail and flippers??? :P |-D :D
