He stands up and catches an arrow to the leg, from Skrall. The Jail Keep quickly yanks it out, but limps (-40). Jail Keep - Hit Haldor heals himself - No Heal The battle continues. Dyric's blade once more flies by the agile Jail Keep, who, while dodging, rolls right into Tesni's swinging range. The female warrior screams, throwing him totally off balance, and he falls to the floor. Tesni stabs him through the chest (-108). Unfortunantly, in her rage she did not take the time to properly aim, and instead of piercing a lung, or even better, the heart, her blade passes through the very edge of his chest, and he is able to stumble to his feet. The Jail Keep, while getting up, tosses with surprising strength his ball and chain and catches Hans in the stomach, throwing him back. Hans howls in anger (-7). Skrall once more fires, and the arrow lodges itself in the Jail Keep's shoulder. This time he does not bother to remove it as the blood starts to flow (-40). The Jail Keep tumbles over, dead. Zepher Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) <Told you not to trust me! Thanks! > The heroes stand over the broken and mauled Jail Keep. "That megablocker was pretty megablocking fast. I could use a heal, Haldor." The heroes hear a shout from elsewhere in the jail. "Help me!!! Help me!" The heroes travel back, further into the cells, and find a single man, in the same basic garb as Fredrick. He is clearly Gregor. "Help me out of here." The heroes are faced with a lock. There are four slots, currently reading the following: AAAA. The heroes flick the dials and realize that each has a total alphabet on it. Next to the lock is a note. There are six heroes sitting in a bar. Hoke orders six drinks, and says he will stay until they have all have been downed. Jess goes to powder her nose, and Haldor follows her. Dyric flees, because he always does. Jess and Haldor return. The drinks arrive. Skrall drinks his quickly. Jess drinks hers. Haldor drinks his. Hoke drinks his. One of the shield bearers leaves to go get another round. All but one of the remaining members of the table leave to go. Who is left at the table? Their first letter is your first letter.Dyric is sitting in a field. He finds five letters. A, O, I, E, U. He takes them and walks into town. He runs into Skrall, who he gives the second of the letters. Skrall walks away and, thinking it useless, throws it away. Haldor picks it up and thinks that it will be the perfect gift for his love, Jess, so he hands it to her. Dyric sees Tesni and gives her the first letter, and keeps walking, singing a merry tune. He walks into a bar, finds his drink, and drains it. Hoke sees him do it and gets up to leave. As Hoke passes by they bump into each other. Dyric drops the third letter. Skrall enters the bar, picks that letter up, and grunts before eating it, as it looks delicious. Tesni and Jess meet each other, and each unhappy with their letter, trade them. Jess then meets Dyric, who asks her to end his pathetic life, and pays her the fifth letter so she will do it. She decapitates him. The letter he dies with is your second letter. Jess and Haldor are having a romantic picnic when Tesni, Hoke, and Skrall interrupt. They tell Jess that she is dating someone that they do not approve of. Tesni throws insults at Haldor. Hoke bashes his head against his shield. Skrall laughs at him and chews on his hair, eating it all up. Finally Jess admits she does not like Haldor. He goes and jumps off a cliff. That is the end of Haldor. That is your third letter. Tesni is walking. She has your fourth letter. Edited December 29, 2011 by Zepher Quote
The Legonater Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) I retrieve my knife, then join the group and look at the note. Ah! A puzzle! As I've told you, I did a bit of investigating back in Duplovia, so this should be simple. Letter One is H. Only five of the six drinks were drank, so Haldor remains. However, Wren- who clearly left this message- obviously knows about Haldo and Jess' relationship, and it would seem odd to see them apart, so maybe I'm wrong with that one. Letter Two is E. Jess ends with A, and Tensi with O, Skrall eats I- I'm terrible sorry about that, old friend- and I pay Jess U. As for three, I am tottally confounded by that. And four is O. I look around. Sorry, did I ruin the fun for everyone? Edited December 29, 2011 by The Legonater Quote

As to the others, yer correct Rone on the E and the O, but I am at a loss concernin' the third letter. Perhaps the third riddle is in reference to the H in Haldor's name?" Zepher Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 The heroes plug in a H for the first part of the riddle, then an E for the second part, and an O for the fourth. All click. The final letter stares back at them. Quote

Zepher Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 (edited) And off pops the lock. "Thank you mates. Now let's get the hell out of here." The heroes swiftly exit the jail and Hans finds that they are in fact very close to the camp of Fredrick, though in the opposite direction than the one that they had set out in. Hans points the heroes in the direction of the camp... and the heroes cry out as they see pillars of smoke. Gregor, Poletad, Skrall, Hans, Dyric, Haldor and Tesni rush down into the miniture valley. The sight they are greeted with is not pretty. A few soldiers lay bandaged, many more, both Haddon Town Guards and Fredrick's soldiers, lay dead. Fredrick is cut in two. There is no sign of Hoke or Jess. "I am terribly sorry. Give us a few days to recover, and we will meet up with you." The heroes beat a hasty retreat back to their camp and prepare for the night. Soon they are asleep. The next morning, they awaken. The camp feels strangely empty.
