I must say I'm really impressed at how Albion is growing. I know things are a bit slow at the moment, but it's only the start of the new year, and people often have phases of building where they build loads then stop for a few weeks, and so on. That's why the Albion build has no time limits so we can dip in and out when we feel like it. I know people are also trying to build their own towns as well, plus the main challenges, so there is lots to juggle around.

Well done to everyone so far, some really great builds have been produced for this so far, with lots more to come.

If we ever do fill up all the spaces, then perhaps we could look into building two smaller cities in the Enchanted Woods and Mystic Isles, each with their own unique style that's different from Albion. Thats A long way off though, so let's see how Albion turns out, so far so good!

looking forward to seeing your gate house as all your MOC have been great. I think I might be getting a little too ambitious and taking on too many projects myself. I am working on three builds right now (typically I start a new one while waiting on parts) but haven't even gotten past the brainstroming stage of my Embassy build. Not too mention a long list of other ideas I want to do...I was going to try another Albion build as well but I might hold off a bit on that one!

I Agree! I really wish I could construct my first Albion build, but it will not be a small endeavor, and this embassy thing has been taking FOREVER. It's always frustrating how you can spend 4 hours working, and only complete one small portion of one building. I have so many ideas, and so little time. Gah! :sing:

I thought so too, but now I´ve to figure out what to make the potts of! :laugh:

I know its going to sound like a broken record but I was thinking of a pottery shop for Circardia. As to what to use, how about the new leprechaun pot from the new CMF?

Haha! You and me are building the same things! :classic: Some times you are first and some times it´s me! :classic:

Let see

Pottery

Hunter

Fishermen

Bakery

All have been done by both of us!

And that is a great tip with the pots from CMF! Thanks!

Great minds think alike right?

I have a list of about 33 builds I want to do for the Hamlet of Circardia. Some have been done, like a gate house and some I haven't seen yet like a glassblower and a cooper (makes barrels)

My idea of the potter was going to be more like a factory like the one in movie Les Miserables and I wanted to do a few other builds so I probably wasn't going to start it for a couple months.

Look forward to what you come up with!

Inspired by de Gothia, my next Albion build will be the street sweepers cart. It does NOT have a number as the trash and rats collected by the sweepers will be burned outside the city walls (possibly IN Nocturnus... I kid, I kid... but not a bad idea).

Wow, I just want to say that this is a great project. The only thing I am missing is an interactive map.

So I made one: http://bentoft.dk/lego/albion/ (I cannot make it a link, since I have not yet made 5 posts :-()

I will not promise to keep this updated, but I am sure one of you could do that as well.

I look forward to see this city grow :-D

That's fantastic and also very usefull in other occasions. Is it difficult to create? My webbuilding knowledge is limited.

No, it is very simple. Take a look at the source. For each building you need to add this:

   <area shape="poly"
           coords="400,276,424,299,408,312,386,292"
           onMouseOver="setVisible('temple2')"
           onMouseOut="hideAll('temple2')"
    href="http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=63232"/>

and this

<div id='temple2' style="visibility:hidden;position:absolute;top:10px;">
<img src="http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/volcanicpanik/Avalonia/TempleMars/dsc01209.jpg" width=400px>
</div>

The building id (temple2) should be the same all 3 places.

The hard part is the coords:

coords="400,276,424,299,408,312,386,292"

It is coordinates in the image (400,276), (424,299),(408,312),(386,292)

I think it could also be cool with at little text description for each moc, but I am too lazy :-D for now at least.

BTW: sorry for polluting the thread with code. If anybody want to update the map and need help, please just PM me.

you say easy, i say I may as well be looking at Chinese!

I have been wanting to learn some basic HTML code though. I keep getting told it isn't that hard for the simple things I want to do.

two questions as I was envisioning something like this for the Hamlet of Circardia when I eventually get around to it. Can more than one photo come up when you roll over a building? Secondly, can the roll over link to the original thread?

1. yes, more than one photo could come up.

2. Not sure I understand the question, but they are already links to the buildings thread.

yes they are! stupid me! that is exactly what I was talking about. I guess what confused me at first was that my pointer didn't change like it normally does when I hover over a link!
