Besides the thickness (no, I'm not going to complain about that, as others already did that for me  ), the first thing I noticed was the windscreen. It's the most accurate one if you ask me. Most people seem to prefer the windscreen given in 8092, which does give the speeder a sleek look, yet it's just not accurate at all, as you can see in the picture.

The windscreen should be somewhat high, and bending inwards, which makes that the dashboard control panel is all roofed. So, in my opinion, you chose the most accurate windscreen available.

Hm....still a little too disproportionate. I would try to cut down the size of the middle leg and the bow-tie looking this on the body. Try using some stickers to get the ultimate Astromech experience!

It's all in good fun. In my experience, giving and receving good constructive criticism is just as much a part of MOCing as building. Comments like "Love it!" or "Nice work!" are pretty safe and appropriate every once in a while, but if that's all anyone ever said about an MOC, I wouldn't see it as any more useful than spamming. I applaud JackJonespaw for being the first in this thread to offer suggestions for improving the astromech droid.

The reality of the Internet is that you're putting yourself out there with every post. If you're a passive member, you're only here to read, you're not posting anyway, so it's a non-issue. But when you do post something, be it a creation or an opinion, you should expect to be held up for criticism. Such a cycle is necessary for a healthy community to continue and grow. It makes everyone better by continually pushing for a newer and higher standard.

In the scope of LEGO, it makes us better builders. Sure, it's nice to hear comments like "wow, that's great" or "I love it," those don't improve my skills. Fifteen responses that are one line long do not help improve my model, or bring up a technique that I'd never thought of. Honestly, that's the kind of responses I could do without. Yes, I appreciate a few of them, but I'd much rather have one response of "you should try out this block here, and add a bit of shape to this. Maybe something like this..." than 100 telling me I built the best thing since the Slave Leia Dancing Band.

Your right as usaual Fallenangle  , I want to post my builds to get people to comment what they like and dont like and suggest modifications that can be used to better my building techneques. It may feel intrusive that people say what they dont like but if taken in the right way it can make you a better builder and not make you feel that your waising your own time. I felt that Dapper's Astromech was a good idea and thats why I commented on it as that, but it could use better parts to get a more accurte droid. Instead of totally critisising the living hell out of it made my own  .
