As I said, I'm sure that Lupin, Neville and Goyle are final (mainly because of the new heads and torsos  ). BTW, I'm wondering what Ernie is going to look like. In the game, he's bald and has the same face as Ollivander, just with glasses on  I certainly hope he looks different in the Knight Bus set

I'm a bit disappointed, but maybe because the Diagon Alley is so cool.

The buildings should fit to well Hogwarts, but I see no special items or bricks.

The figs are ok... was looking forward to some new faces.

Will still buy the set to complete the collection.

Ok, to all the people that are complaining about Lucius, CALM DOWN!! TLG wasn't going to waste time making a whole new fig when they could just throw Lucius in there! We all should've seen this coming!! And anyway, look at Sprout, Neville, Lupin and Goyle!! 4 awesome new fig's, and you all are complaining about ONE of them?!? Are you just not going to buy the set because of Lucius?! No, i didn't think so. So please, STOP COMPLAINING!! Don't get me wrong, I don't like it either, but I'm just glad I'm getting 4 new figs!

Also, I looked closer at the pic, and I DID see a little bit of possibly the other new set. I'm guessing if that was a pic of one of the other 2 sets, it was of the FF set, as I saw a cape and half of a white hand (Voldemort). But, the pic. might not be anything....

BTW, I think i know what figs are gonna be in the FF set. Harry (regular clothes), Voldemort, Narcissa, Bellatrix. The first three I'm positive will be in the set. But Bellatrix was just a guess... :sweet:

Great News indeed ! This new set looks Great ! And I must admitt that all these lovely new minifigures make me all warm and happy inside !

Lucius Malfoy wasn't completely necessary as many people pointed out, but I still thinks another death eater is nice. I do have the old Lucius Malfoy one, the Grey one from the OotP set and the newest one. I must point out However, that this supposed to be a random death eater I think, as he wears the cape hat thing.

I truly love the new Lupin, and he looks indeed like the tin7's custom.

CALM DOWN!! We all should've seen this coming!! And anyway, look at Sprout, Neville, Lupin and Goyle!! Are you just not going to buy the set because of Lucius?! No, i didn't think so. STOP COMPLAINING!!

Wow, calm down ! There's no need fur such behaviour. Everybody has the right to complain about that figure. So we probablyu won't stop doing it. A forum is basically to speak your mind... So please don't "yell" like this at others.

Narcissa has been confirmed by a reliable source to be in the Forbidden Forest set. Lucious was in the Graveyard Duel set, but that wasn't the last set he was in. He was in last year's Freeing Dobby set, and he's in this years Diagon Alley set, so having him in the Battle for Hogwarts set just seems redundant. He's still decently useful as a generic Death Eater, but just barely (I'll probably end-up flipping the torso backwards and swapping the arms to give him a plain black chest instead of Malfoy's unique jacket).

Ah yes, forgive me. I completely forgot he was in Dobby's release, and forgot the new Diagon Ally completely. Thanks for reminding me!

Well, there are actually quite a lot, even ones that appear in the films. The Carrows spring to mind, but there are also Yaxley, Dolohov, etc. In other licensed themes (I'm thinking PoP and PotC here), LEGO releases many named characters of lesser importance (Asoka, anyone?). There are plenty of named Death Eaters in the films, especially the Deathly Hallows parts one and two, who even have distinctive looks to them. I wish LEGO could have made any one of them to put in the Battle for Hogwarts besides for Lucius.

Hmm... I never saw the Prince of Persia, and my knowledge of Pirate of the Caribbean is spotty at best, so I'd have to go with the Ahsoka/Star Wars comparison. Whilst those Death Eaters are relevant, I just don't see any distinguishing features that warrant them being made into figures. The Malfoys (besides being important enough to be made) have the pristine hair and facial features, Fenir is a beastly looking individual, and Bellatrix looks like a Gothic Pride, similar to how all of the Star Wars alien Jedi (Fisto, Mundi, Koon, etc) were all made because they're recognizable. The other remaining Death Eaters (Pettigrew excluded; he was dead by the battle of Hogwarts) would likely seem rather bland and uninteresting by comparison; there is little to separate them from the crowd.

No, I meant Asoka, not Ahsoka, Asoka is the named guy with the white plume in the PoP Fight for the Dagger set, who turns out not to be a character in the movie. The guy who I think LEGO was trying to make there has about two seconds of screen time and an unimportant fight with Dastan, before losing just like everybody else that Dastan fights.

In Star Wars they don't make unimportant characters (generally), so that is why I didn't factor it into my point.

From my perspective, Yaxley does have a bit of a look, and even has some substantial things to do in Hallows part I. He's got a long blonde pony tail, for one thing, so I'm sure kids would go "Oh, that's the guy with the long blonde pony tail from the movie!" if LEGO had put him in a set. Or maybe LEGO thought he would look too similar to Lucius? I don't know.

Of course Lucius being included isn't going to stop me buying the set, but it's just a little dissapointing. Even as a generic Death Eater, every Death Eater has a different mask, so an army of the exact same mask isn't too good either.

This. Although the same mask thing doesn't bother me a whole lot. I'll probably have Lucious keep his normal face turned forward most of the time anyways. Also, it's not that they didn't give us another new minifigure, it's just that he really makes no sense in the set, and there are some minifigures they've also recently used that would have made much more sense. Bellatrix, Grayback, or even another Dementor would have been really nice. I would even be happy with his spot taken up by another Ron, tbh. Lucious being included isn't going to stop me from buying the set, but it's still disappointing to see him again. The other minifigures are going to be good enough to overshadow that dissapointment, especially Lupin and Neville.

Part of me is really hoping that they re-release some of last years sets when they release these three new sets. Would be nice to have a second chance to buy the castle set and Hagrid's Hut.

Yaxley does indeed have some potential for a minifigure. But I must say, even he's character was bad megablocks in the movie, if the ministry isn't made into LEGO. There is in my opinion, no other scene he is important enough in. I mean, he probably appear in the Battle of Hogwarts, but won't probably be recognisable in the huge crowd seen in the trailer. I've seen loads of Custom Yaxley's with the Blonde Mme Hooch/Vampire hair. It does look excelent at the front, but it's just missing the pony tail. For some reason, Bellatrix and Greyback also looked impossible to me, LEGO always keeps surprising us. So who knows what's waiting for us in the future ? :classic:

His hairpiece would be incredibly easy do for LEGO, as the new male ponytail piece from Pirate of the Caribbean looks just like it.

(Pettigrew excluded; he was dead by the battle of Hogwarts)

Pettigrew isn't dead in the movie yet. Remember Part 1, they skipped entirely on his death? Dobby just knocked him out.

About the FF, Brickset was told that the set is based off the part when Hagrid was captured, so don't you think Hagrid will be included in the set? Although, I am sure LEGO isn't going tell people what is truly happening in the scene. The summary of the set will probably be: during the battle, Hagrid is captured by Death Eaters and Harry runs to his rescue in the Forest.

I'm so exited. Mostly about Sproud and the neat Astronmy Tower, but the other Figures are nice as well. While it is a good argument that they still might exchange Lucius with another Deatheater, i acctually think Crabbe/goyle (not sure who this one is because these to guys are pretty alike). Especially because Crabbe *SPOILER* is responsible for the Fire in the Room of Requirement wich leads to the destruction of Ravenclaws Diadem *SPOILER END* I am so glad that this is not battledamaged but a really great expansion to my Hogwarts collection wich i am working on scince the first Movie's Lego Harry Potter Line.

Huh? I don't understand what you're trying to say here.

Also, Crabbe is not going to be in the film, and Goyle will set the fire (and die, probably).

Yep that was confirmed by the director David Yates and Blaise Zabini will play the role Goyle played in the book :sweet:

I hate to meme but:

At first I was like *oh2*

but then I was like :sadnew:

I think its an okay set not amazing but okay, It would have been nice to get a new character/deaf eater but lets face it a new one would have just pushed up the price. pretty happy for a Lupin and Sprout, not too sure on Longbottom thougth and crabbe/goyle, but I'll save my judgement for clearer pics.

but the set itself isnt very mindblowing, I mean the box art for the first wave showed Quidditch games, burning houses, blonde people flying across rooms  . and this is supposed to be a battle right? wheres the explosions? the destruction? the chaos? I mean other than neville throwing himself of the bridge and a dementor daintaly floating througth the air theres not much going on, not much at all.

But then again I can see the limitations TLC had to consider when making a set with as brutal background as this What with the deaths, destruction sadness etc. etc. But instead of two towers fully construct I would have prefered it being at least partly damaged, seeing as hogwarts effectivly gets flattend. But what am I complaining for I'll probebly get two

yeah good point, i forgot the half of my sentence while i was writing :D i wanted to say: While it is a good argument that they still might exchange Lucius with another Deatheater, i acctually think Crabbe/goyle is a great choice for the battle set because of their important role in the Battle.

Yep, it definitely says 'Gregory Goyle,' but that's ok. How much do we really need other house torsos anyway?

I'm not sure why they're still using that old hairpiece on Lupin, it never looked accurate for him, and the newer short hair looks much better. Also, why does Neville have a broom, and why is Harry in his Hogwarts uniform? That doesn't make sense for the scene, but oh well. I'm not going to complain when we get four either new or redesigned figures, and a pretty good set that will fit in well with the Hogwarts set (sort of, the rocks on the bottom won't make the transition smooth). I can't wait to see what there is as for features.

Also, are there pics of the other sets where that came from?

What do you mean how much do we need them? Luna doesn't have a set of robes, she can't just waltz around Hogwarts without them and there are kind of four houses so...it makes sense to have robes for every house.

yeah, i mean i can live without Hufflepuff and i could have lived without Ravenclaw as well but now that they introduced this awesome Luna I can't wait for a Ravenclaw uniform to fit her into my hogwarts. Someone said that he wished for Hogwartsstudent Battlepacks a few pages earlier. I know how bad the chances are, but if they should ever do this before their license ends, i am totally buying a hole stock of those. BTW are there any Internetshops selling costum Hogwarts uniforms?

I posted decals for Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw toros a few months ago; you can find them with the search function; just print them out and stick them onto your LEGO toros.

It is extremly unlikely to ever get a hufflepuf or ravenklaw student ! "Sirius"ly, I cannot think of one important character that belongs in the hufflepuff house on the exception of Cedric Diggory. But LEGO blew that opportunity away while making the sets for the fourth movie. Luna is obviously an important Ravenklaw character, and I could imagine Cho Chang could be important enough to be made into LEGO but that's it. I was already surprised we got a Luna ! I wasn't expecting it at all. As much as I'd love to have a Ravenklaw or Hufflepuf kid wandering around Hogwarts, it just is impossible. I am actually quite happy to have a luna !

Besides, you've heard Tin7's great advertising ! Just print his Decals !

Didn't you see my ' ' Yes, I'd like to see some official torsos for the other houses as well (not that yours aren't great, Tin7, I just don't like decals), though I think it's never going to happen.

Trust me, I don't like decals either; I like designing them, but I would still rather use official torsos whenever possible.

Just checked Customer Service on LEGO.com and found they'd updated the replacement parts section with images of the Harry Potter microfigs. Figured I'd share those here:

4594561.jpg4594614.jpg4594642.jpg4594646.jpg

4594560.jpg

Can anyone recognize any specific characters that the multicolored ones might represent? The Ravenclaw one reminds me of Cho, but the other three aren't immediately familiar, so it might just be wishful thinking.

Posted (edited)

I suspect those are the heads of the houses, such as Snape, McGonagall, etc.

Er, they look too young to be Snape or McGonagall....but the four houses they might be !

No more images yet anyone ?
