Can we just stop this nonsensical talk now? It's been established that this "rumor" has absolutely no merit whatsoever, so all subsequent discussion of it has just turned into wishlists for Harry Potter sets, either this year or next. There's a different topic for that.

This topic is for discussing actual 2011 sets. Let's please try to keep it to that.

Oh, how hilarious the nonsensical argument is though.

But I agree.. it is actually a bit annoying.

Back to discussion, here's what I think:

Forbidden Forest: Great little set, and a nice, cheap way to get another Hagrid. I love the other minifigures as well, especially Mrs. Malfoy!

Night Bus: Nice stock of purple, but not as good as the original. The minifigs are good, and I'm sure the interior will be great as well.

Battle of Hogwarts: Must buy! Will go great with Hogwarts, and the minifigs are perfect!

I plan on getting all of the HP sets. Just need these and Diagon Alley to complete them.

The only set I've been impressed with is Diagon Alley, which I did about a month ago and which was the best thing I've built ever.

So the Knight Bus redo looks worse than the original, the Forbidden Forest might be a good run for the money considering Hagrid, Voldemort, Narcissa, and blue flames being rare things, the Battle looks cool, especially because of Death Eater, Sprout, Neville, and Lupin.

So yeah, it looks like after those, nothing's going to come out seeing as either WB will take license, or Lego will think people will lose interest in the theme (I never will! :sweet: ). Which makes me super sad.

Does anyone knows which will be the special minifigure that will be included in the LEGO harry potter visual dictionary and if you don't do you know when will it be announced?

There's already what appears to be the final cover in many sites such as Amazon. But I've seen that below the silhouette of the figure that will come in the book it says "Harry Potter" I hope this doesn't means we're gonna get another harry potter minifigure since we could have a Tonks or a Cedric.

You can see the image in this link:http://www.amazon.com/Harry-Potter-Building-Magical-World/dp/0756682576/ref=pd_sim_b_1

In all honesty, a Harry Potter in an exclusive outfit would make sense to me. They aren't going to put in a side character like Tonks or Sirius, no matter how much fans like those characters. The SW one got an exclusively outfitted Luke, so that makes sense for HP as well.

Now, the question is which outfit? They've already done his Triwizard tournament outfit (albeit a while ago), so perhaps a Yule Ball/dress robes outfit? We'll just have to wait and see.

Or, I could be completely wrong and that image is still a bit preliminary.

I completely agree with you that it will probably be a Harry in His Yule Ball dress robes but I think it could maybe be a deformed Harry in the scene in the seventh movie where Hermione jinx him so he isn't recognizable.

I don't think this image is preliminary except for the white shilouette.

I think you should re-think your post really. If anyone here is using their fathers computer it would be yourself, I'm guessing.

Please stop or you will soon run into trouble here.

why so angry?

take it easy!

im sure lots of young adults like harry potter

Please, you come onto a Lego fan-site and then offend many people. Then you contradict yourself and act like nothing happened. :sceptic: I think you owe an apology rather than back-chatting. Correct capital letters and grammar is also appreciated

Oh and finally this is an AFOL based site, so I don't think you should be such an shit-head to people whom I consider to be nice people.

Harry Potter is loved by all people, old or young. You owe an apology.

Also, you should respect the whole site and be nice to its staff and members. Or just leave and come back when you think you can handle one of the best LEGO sites on the internet

Dude, not cool. I am appalled that someone would be so immature as to post that, here of all places. Harry Potter is considered my many (including myself) to be one of society's triumphs of literature and imaginative thinking. There are millions of adults who love it, and billions of young adults who adore it, there's even a very successful club dedicated to it at my high school. Just because you may feel that we're being "childish" for liking Harry Potter doesn't give you the right to act like an immature piece of shit (pardon my french) and spew intolerant nonsense at many many people who love this piece of beautifully crafted literature. Maybe you could learn something about care, compassion and kindness by actually reading the series. Most of us "children" at least have the common decency not to seek out a thread dedicated to something that we don't believe is particularly interesting, or useful and blatantly insult it, knowing full well how many people would be offended. I am amazed that there are people out of high school who still get a kick out of upsetting other people like that. I for one would appreciate it if you would keep comments like that to yourself, or get off this forum.

Yeh jackass.

This guy really is "Smart". His first post made sure that everyone despised him. Good job.

Where were we?? Oh yeah the exclusive minifigure!

I think Harry in his yuleball attire is possible. I think it's also one of the only outfits that is in the game that you can't get.

I have heard from one of my sources that Hogwarts Castle will be available again for the release of HP7 part two......it actually almost all HP sets have sold out in Oz.

Sounds good for those who missed out. I already picked up several. Any word on whether the smaller sets will be re-released as well? I would have preferred to get new sets instead if the re-releases though :hmpf_bad: , but with the new sets, I'm not complaining.

I have heard rumors that there will be more sets in 2012, has this been validated or denied by TLG?
