commanderneyo Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 I have heard rumors that there will be more sets in 2012, has this been validated or denied by TLG? Sirius Neither so we're pretty much blank on whether or not we will get 2012 Lego Harry Potter sets. Quote
sebarabas Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I think its possible the arrival of new sets next year since they will probably be launched to join the release of the videogame of "LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7" that I think we are getting it for sure. Quote
Harrypotterfreak Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 At SnitchSeeker.com, there are some really good, hi-res pics of the new HP sets. Just FYI. Quote
andrewqwy Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Hello All, My name is Andrew and I'm from Singapore. Just saying "Hi" to everyone on my first post here. I know many of us have already seen the HP summer sets but I just spotted some super high-res pics at FBTB thought I'd share it. Cheers! HP High Res Pics Quote
Cad Bane Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 With the the new pics, I now see that the shrunken head in the Knight Bus is disappointing as is the chandelier. They did the same thing with Davy Jones' heart in the POTC sets. Ahh well, at least the reat of the set as well as the others look great. Can't wait for their release!! Quote
Miss Kyle Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I am still not keen on the Hogwarts set, but I love the dark green and brown of the Forbidden Forest. And the purpleness of the bus of course, even though it looks a bit too chunky for me. Will buy it, though, it is a fairly iconic set :D Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Well, even if these pictures come from LEGO there are a few things wrong with them, which makes me wonder how final everything shown really is. The most glaring thing wrong is the tile in the Knight Bus picture that has a string of numbers an "deko" written on it. Obviously, it's a stand in for the final printed piece, but the fact that it's there makes me think these pictures are less than final. There's also the problem of Harry having a Hogwarts uniform in the Knight Bus set, which doesn't make sense. Neville now looks different than he did at Toy Fair, and he looks quite stupid if you ask me. Goyle looks like an old man. Also, the globe in the Battle of Hogwarts set has some sort of astronomical printing instead of the map of the world as shown at Toy Fair. The first set of official pictures for the October wave of HP sets also had a whole bunch of mistakes, like Voldemort still wearing green and the green capes having white on the inside. I would not be surprised if certain things change from these pictures to the final sets as well; actually, I'm sure it will happen. Quote
Gregorovich Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Thanks for the pictures! I like Narcissa's reverse face, but the hair in this picture doesn't have enough blonde in it. The rest of the set looks great. I can't see any big changes in any of the sets, but the new globe printing is really nice, and I think that Neville's new face looks more accurate, as the buck-teeth are quite an important part of his image. I think that the reason Harry's wearing a uniform in the Knight Bus is because it's preliminary. Thanks again for the pictures! Quote
Lance Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) Whats wierd is that a £9.99 set comes with Hagrid and Voldemort. Just very strange.... Edited March 16, 2011 by Lance Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Lance, why are you quoting that for the umpteenth time? WhiteFang even told everyone to drop it, and we've moved on. Let's discuss the new pictures please, or at least something related to the sets. Thanks. Quote
Lance Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) Ok sorry. I must of missed that post. I'm no good with news. Edited March 16, 2011 by Lance Quote
Vindicare Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 It looks as though Neville has Marcus Flints head...anyone else think so? Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 It's similar, but not the same. The Marcus flint head looks a bit meaner, and has black eyebrows. The eyebrows on Neville are brown and thinner. Quote

Remember the Kingdom Magician Impulse? The printing on title was different. But they still use the old picture on kingdom product site... Quote

tin7_creations Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 One more hour until the big unveil of the exclusive minifig in the LEGO Harry Potter Dictionary! ~t7_c Quote
Gregorovich Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I can't wait to see this figure! I heard about it quite a while ago, and have been wondering what it is. I really hope it's something good, because I don't want all my waiting to be for nothing! Quote
commanderneyo Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 According to this the exclusive figure will of course be Harry Potter (No suprise there) http://images.bookdepository.co.uk/assets/images/book/large/9780/7566/9780756682576.jpg However it still is unknown what Harry Potter it will be (Fingers crossed for a dress robes Harry!) Quote
tin7_creations Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) The minifig has been revealed! Dress Robe Harry. Disappointing. I was hoping for a significant secondary cahracter like Tonks; or at least Hermione with a new torso. I suppose the torso is new; and can pass off as James Potter... Nick Wolfe Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I like that it's dress robe harry, but I wish his dress robes were more frilly and crazy, like Ron's in the 4th movie. They could have at least included a cape to make him look more wizardly and less like a normal tuxedo. Quote
Gregorovich Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I'm pretty disappointed about it being another Harry, but I should've expected it. I really wish they'd made a new character, though. How many Harrys do we need? I'm sure everyone wanted to see a new character, and not another Harry. Quote
Harrypotterfreak Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Well, perhaps this fig is a sign of The Wedding set?! but, i saw this coming. it'll be nice to have! Quote
RubeusHagrid Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 That will be good! I think he's joking! Or perhaps you meant 'would' Quote
