Clone OPatra Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Could you possibly post a link to where you found that out? I went on the website, but I can't find anything. It's here, episode 224. It's not written anywhere; you have to listen to it. Quote

MrLestrange Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Believe you that there will be new lego Harry Potter in 2012? Quote
sebarabas Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) Believe you that there will be new lego Harry Potter in 2012? I don't think so but it could be possible the release of a new wave of sets if LEGO decides to make a sequel to the videogame "LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4" but this sets probably would reach stores in late 2011 or 2012 and not too soon because the videogame hasn't even been confirmed by LEGO. Sutelc Remoh Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 There is a zero percent chance of a sequel not being made to the LEGO game. I wouldn't be surprised if it were announced within the next couple of months and was ready close to the DVD release of DH2. But part of me hopes it's a little longer because that might help the chances of more sets in 2012. Quote
Oky Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Zero percent? Aren't you exagerating a bit? For all we know they may not even be planning a sequel. People are just expecting it because the "Years 1-4" part of the title implies it. And even if they are, anything can still happen that will stop the production of the game. After all, everyone was sure there would be a Star Wars Battlefront 3... Quote
sok117 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 After all, everyone was sure there would be a Star Wars Battlefront 3... There will be a battlefont three! There will. I just know it... I just.... There will be one, there has to be.... there.... , I need a minute :cry_sad: Quote

10or Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm still not sure because this videogames are made for kids and the three last movies are much more violent than the first four. so are you saying that Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Pirates of the Caribbean are not as violent as Harry Potter? they included Year 4, which was a dark film, but they made it so it was funny (ex: Wormtail taking off his hand, Cedric being blown up and Dumbledore handing Mr. Diggory an instruction manual) so they would do the exact things for the latter Years 5-7 the violence is not really something to argue with. Quote
Vindice Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Violence has nothing to do with it, if it makes money they will make another game. Although it hasn't been confirmed yet there is a strong belief that there will definately be another game. What i'm not so positive about is that this will necessarily mean any new sets. I think the HP license has run it's course as far as TLG are concerned. I'd love them to continue but if Pirates of the Caribean is a strong seller then I think this will bump it. I think we may get one more exclusive though................. I hope so anyway! I too loved Battlefront but there won't be another. There were problems with the studio which canned it. Quote
Sutelc Remoh Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 (edited) I really don't feel that zero percent chance of no sequel is an exaggeration. There is no way it doesn't happen. Development costs on these games must be crazy low at this point since they all run on the same basic game engine. They can also reuse a lot of the design work from the first one. And every single LEGO game that lends itself to sequels has had one. There is no possible chance we won't get years 5-7. I would bet my house that we have the game within 3 years at the latest. It's a blank check for Traveler's Tales to write themselves. Battlefront was a completely different animal, there's really no comparison here. Edited April 18, 2011 by Sutelc Remoh Quote

There is this little thing called sales that companies look at. Who's to say what they're(video game company) is. I'm sure if the first one didn't sell well, that could mean there is no sequel. Even if, as you say, it would be relatively easy to make, doesn't mean they're gonna release it if they don't believe they're going to make that money back. That's just one part of why 5-7 may not come out, buti don't know. Quote
Derek Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Today I watched Deathly Hallows Pt. 1 and was reminded of how happy I am we are getting a Narcissa figure, but also how disappointed I was she isn't getting a new hair piece. If Lego made a piece that looked like her hair in the movie, it would be a beautiful figure, probably right up there with Bellatrix... -Derek Quote

Gregorovich Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Don't know if anyone's seen this yet, but in this image there is what appears to be the finished box art for the 2011 sets. They're very small, but you can still kind of make out what they are. Quote

The BfH box is the exact same as the earlier one we found, though. Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Over in the Kingdoms discussion thread, someone mentioned that these were available in TRU's over in the US. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were, seeing as all the summer sets are already in stock. So if anyone over in the USA wants to do a review of them, please do! Quote

Sid Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I should have said "latest" not "new". The ones I saw were the castle, train, etc. Other hobbies have been keeping me busy.. but I do love my Lego Quote

Kyp Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Before i get beaten up with a legobaseballbat, i know this is about the harry Potter 2011 Lego Products, i just wanted to share this for all of those who haven't seen it yet, and are as excited about the final Harry Potter Movie as I am. This is of course not the right place for discussions about it, i just wanted to put this here. Quote
stc Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Wait didn't Lupin die? Weren't they all sad about it when they got to the Burrow? Quote
Oky Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Uhm, no, he dies at the Battle of Hogwarts, hence his appearance in that set. You must be thinking of Mad-Eye Moody. Quote
Fives Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Uhm, no, he dies at the Battle of Hogwarts, hence his appearance in that set. You must be thinking of Mad-Eye Moody. That was the one thing that upset me the most with Alastor's death in the movie: why didn't they bricking show it!?! He is one of my favourite characters ever, and they were all just like "Oh ya, Mad-Eye. Hmmm... He died." "Uh... That's too bad" Like, what the brick! Anyway, that was off topic... I'm excited for these new sets. They look like they are giving us a nice group of minifigs and parts (trans light blue fire, Narcissa's hair, grey globe). I think that the Battle of Hogwarts is my favourite just because it has (finally) a new Lupin and Neville. I missed out on both of them back in 2004 and now I'm glad I'll be getting really nice versions of them now. But I must say, this wave is just nothing compared to the last one. Maybe if they had included one more big set, like a revamp of the Chamber of Secrets, then this wave would seem more full. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 But I must say, this wave is just nothing compared to the last one. That seems to be a trend in some Licensed themes, but usually ones that get a fuller theme later. Both Indy and Batman had waves with only two sets, but that wasn't the end for them. I have strong doubts, but maybe there will be one last hurrah after this tiny wave. Quote
