CMP Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Does anyone knows when will the two promotional sets are going to become available and where? If I had to make a guess I'd say the Daily Mirror in the UK. But I may be wrong. Quote
RubeusHagrid Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 If I had to make a guess I'd say the Daily Mirror in the UK. But I may be wrong. Just to put in, way in advance. If they are given away with the Mirror (or Sun) I will be happy to post some to the US, but if you Americans get them at Target/etc I will need as many of the one with Harry in uniform (strange, but I don't want it for Harry...) as possible. Thanks Quote
Miss Kyle Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 The staff of the Hamburg Lego store was quite clueless about the sets when I asked when they will be out. "What? There will be more sets?" Ahem. Ah well, you can't know everything, but I'm surprised that apparently the subject had never come up in the shop before. Seems like the sets will arrive in July. More time to save my Lego money. Quote
Lance Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 The new sets will be released mid-June. Wait....Thats this month! I will be taking my son to the Cardiff LEGO Store on the 22nd, so he may pick one up. The knight bus seems to appeal to him the most, then Hogwarts, then the FF. Quote
legofett5 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 I found the new hogwarts set and forbidden forest set at target in the usa, but no knight bus. Quote
cratra Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Hanging for these 3 sets. No sign of any any Australia yet. The new SW have just hit the shelves though. Quote
joeee Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 They made a commercial so hopefully it boosts sales to persuade them to make more sets! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSohO28iqw4 Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 ALRIGHT ! I agree that advert was AWESOME, oh I can't wait to buy those two sets....might give us all a hint to how the movie plays out in the end eh ? Quote
Oky Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Am I the only one who thinks that commercial is kinda lame? I mean up until the last part where the bridge explodes and Harry and Voldy start dueling, pretty much nothing is happening. Just goes to show how ho-hum this wave is compared to the last. Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) Ah, 'Oky Wan'.....Sponge Bob said it best............'Imagination' ! I still feel it's a cool advert. Keep on casting those spells ! Edited June 13, 2011 by lightningtiger Quote
Miss Kyle Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 *rofl* Exactly, Lightningtiger :D I think it's cool that there's a Lego TV ad at all! Quote
The Penguin Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) And I can't help but agree with Oky. The best part is indeed blowing up bridge, but the ad just lacks something..... Ah, where are those good old days, when ads were like that?! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited June 13, 2011 by The Penguin Quote
Aredhel Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I think it is a cool commercial, but could maybe include some more of the sets and not only the castle ... - Aredhel Quote
10or Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 what do you guys want? sure they could have added the other Hogwarts but the commercial was focused on DH. The commercial will be in syndication when the DH P2 commercials are shown. It shows Hagrid got camptured by Death Eaters, they are attacking the school, Harry and Voldemort confront for a final battle. Quote

DarkFader Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) I think it is a cool commercial, but could maybe include some more of the sets and not only the castle ... Only the castle?; the Forbidden Forest set was also in the advert and the boxes for both were shown at the end. (By the way, I think it's a pretty cool little commercial) Edited June 14, 2011 by DarkFader Quote
Oky Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I'm not saying it's a bad ad, it's just not as "action packed" as the other ones. That's not the commercial makers' fault though. If the sets were better designed the commercial would be more interesting too. Just saying. Quote

Jedi master Brick Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 (edited) ] It might give us all a hint to how the movie plays out in the end eh ? Read a book. Yes it is a great advertbut I am already convinced so dose'nt change my mind. The Hogwarts set is a must have for any hogwarts castle and my volded minifigre has gone missing, damn cleaners Edited June 14, 2011 by Jedi master Brick Quote
Parrothead Rasmus Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 My local Target had the new HP sets, nt the Forbidden Forest sets were sold out, and I had spent my LKEGO money on PoP sets a few weeks ago. And, in case anyone was wondering, they apply for the buy one get one 50% off deal going on now. Quote
Oky Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Well, it's mostly about the minifigs anyway Kinda true, but I still want to get a nice playable set when I shell out 50 bucks. Read a book. A bit harsh, don't you think? But yeah, most of us already know how it plays out. Unless they changed the ending for the movie somehow. Quote
Gregorovich Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Kinda true, but I still want to get a nice playable set when I shell out 50 bucks. I agree. Although the figures are excellent, the set should be about the set. A bit harsh, don't you think? But yeah, most of us already know how it plays out. Unless they changed the ending for the movie somehow. I actually think they may have changed the ending. In the trailer Eskallon posted in the thread about the film (Culture & Multimedia), Harry and Voldemort jump off a bridge into a seemingly bottomless pit . It could be related to something in the book though, we'll see when the film's released. Sorry about the off topic-ness! Quote
